Infatuation: The Hopeless Romantic
When he plays he acts like Kanye West
When he preaches he speaks like JFK
So imperfect yet so untainted and fine
Luring me into the mess that is his mind
His vulgar lips spit for attention
While his middle finger salutes like a sword
I scheme for the top as I stare from afar
While he wears his girlfriends like diamond crown
Those enchanting eyes never look into mine
Yet I know the pure beauty they hide within
I know he enjoys a wonderful ride
I know I’ll give it like no one could
Baby, can I ever get to hear your voice
Singing your beautiful lullaby to my soul
Breathe into me a breath of new life, baby
Soothe my despair with your healing power
P/s:
This is my first time attempting to write a poem so that explains why I can't rhyme the lines. Anyway, I just need to get this off my chest >.<
