She has a scar on her right knee from when she fell when she was little. Yun does not like to dress up but she does dress nice and comfortable. family background: On a warm sunny day in August twin babies half Korean half Taiwanese were born, first, a baby boy then followed by his little sister. Their parents gave the boy the name Shu Young while his sister was named Shu Yun. They were the 4th and 5th addition to the family while they have an older brother by 6 years named Shu Jin. Since a young age, Shu Yun has been a big ball of energy that would bounce off the walls. Her parents did not know what to do to control her so her older brother she would sing while she would dance so that she would waste a lot of energy. Her mom saw that she loved to dance so at the age of 4 her mom enrolled her in dance and taekwondo while her school she was taught wushu. As she grew she did have a hard childhood because her classmates would make fun of her because she was half Korean, and not fully Chinese like them. But she did not let the bother her and she lived her school life like the other kid. And that is when she met Meiying. At first, Meiying did not like her because she was too childish, but when she found out that, there would pick on her she admired her. because she was still able to smile even with all the hate she got. So Meiying asked Seo Yun to join basketball with her to that her classmates would recognize her as a classmate. So she did and she became the best players on the team, and she was finally recognized by her classmates. When her brother Seo-Jin decided to go into the music industry at the age of 17 she decided to also follow his footsteps.

So at the age of 11, she moved to Korea with her maternal grandparents, along with her twin brother and they joined DEF Dance Skool, and DEF Music Academy to begin their training. As time went by she met many people at the academy, and have befriended a few. She has meet Topp Dogg member's Xero, B-Joo, Hojoon, and Yano; High4 Alex and Myunghan; Oh My Girl, Seunghee; Up10tion, Bit-to. But she only befriended Yano andBit-to in the end. At the age of 14 she decided to go an audition for a company, when she was looking for a company to audition for her older brother told her to audition for SM, entertainment, because, if she wanted to make it big she should be part of that company (and plus they scouted her older brother when he was still in Korea). So she went and audition for them, but in the last round she did not pass. When Yano found out that she failed SM he told her to join Stardom with him. At first, she didn't want to join them because the company was more to the hip-hop side of music, while she was more to the pop side of music. But then she thought it was a good way to try a new side of music. So she tried out for Stardom, but again she was cut in the last round. So she tried out for TOP Media, with Bit-too. But again she was cut in the very end. So she ended up in trying out for A Cube (Plan A) and she was accepted into the company. And she trained for about two years before she made her debut with A-pink in 2011.
