regarding the depiction of same relationships in my fanfictions

This post is especially directed at members of the LGTBQ+ community, as it concerns them more than anyone else.

I have always written fanfictions about same relationships in a way I see straight couples act around each other and that led to the depiction of a same relationship as one where one person is usually dominant while the other is feminine.

I wrote the stories without any bad thought or intention in mind.

But the older you get, the more you think about several aspects of what you write and how it could affect certain people. And lately, there has been one thing I was wondering about a lot.

Do members of the LGTBQ+ community find fanfictions about LGTBQ+ relationships offensive? More specifically, do the stereotypes shown in the stories offend members of the LGTBQ+ community?

The reason why I'm asking is, if something about the way I depicted same relationships  offends or hurts anyone, I will get rid of those aspects in my stories.

Generally speaking, I as a writer think that writers have the right to create a whole nother world of their own. That fictional world is not to be seen as equivalent to the real world. Things depicted in fanfictions shouldn't be taken too seriously because fanfictions are more often than not like a playground for everything unrealistic.

But I as a human don't want to hurt anyone's feelings with what I write. I'm not talking about writing something that is not to their taste. I'm talking about writing something that could truly hurt/offend someone. The worst thing for me would be to have someone read my work and feel terrible because of it.

It was never my intention to hurt or offend anyone and I'm terribly sorry if I have. If I have done wrong, I will fix it.

I hope to hear your honest opinion.

I don't know what to say, there are many opinions on this topic but as someone from the LGBTQ+ community I don't mind, I mean they are characters and I keep them as fiction... man now this posts got me thinking about a few things.
