They would think that she is a "cute but cold doll with flaming charisma" because of her blanky poker face, but no, they were wrong. She may not seem cheerful but she is not cold either. Zoey likes to be around people she loves and love her, especially with her team mates. She values them a lot. For her own self-assestment, Zoey thinks that she is religious, dreamy. Zoey has a wild imagination when she was young. She likes to dream about her as a princess and having a prince with white horse, she even pour every of her imaginations into drawings. Zoey likes to pray. She is raised a Christian. Even when her mom and dad failed to give her a right example of living in Christianity, she still loves and believe in God. She will remind her mom and dad to go to church, lead prayers before meals, read bible, even going to church with (some christian members) when they got the time to do so.

Secretly, Zoey dislikes to share her meal. She is fine spending money for her friends but if she is told to share what is hers, she will share it half-heartedly. She has never confessed about this, but she wants others to share their food without asking her to share her food. And she is easily bored. She likes challenges and being entertained.

BACKGROUND :
Zoey was born on 12th June, in a millenium year, 2000. She was born and raised in Shenzhen, China to a pair of young parents. Because of the one-child-policy in China and a busy pair of parents, she got no siblings. Zoey's dad is a freelance architect and her mom is a tailor that works in a famous boutique. Ever since she was young, she was baby sitted by her dad. When Zoey was 3, she always cling to her dad. She wouldn't want to go anywhere without her dad because she felt awkward with her mom. When her dad should go out for work, her mom would stay at home but Zoey chose to play alone. 

As the only child, her mom wants Zoey to be perfect and better than them. At very young age, her mom asked her dad to teach her Chinese letters, basic English and Maths. When she entered elementary, she was introduced to a lot of courses. Her mom enrolled her in ballet, piano, and painting course. She was not interested with anything and failed in all courses except piano. Because of her tight schedule, she failed a lot in her studies too. Her mom was so mad. She then received punishment to get at least straight A-s in all subject. 

When she was on grade 3, she watched MTV Kpop Explosion on television. The song that made her fall in love with Kpop was TVXQ's Mirotic. She then dug into k-pop deeper. She admired TVXQ, Super Junior, BigBang, Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation a lot. Because of that, she told her dad that she wanted to quit ballet and join a sing&dance course instead. Her dad was worried she would got beaten up, but he convinced her mom to let Zoey learn what she likes. 

She was really happy when she got the permission to learn singing and dancing. But her mom let her join with one condition, she could not fail or embarrass her mom, plus she still had to get straight A-s and continue piano and painting course. One day, her mom knew that she didn't made it to be in a main performance group. She was just a back-up dancer. Her mom was so disappointed on her and it saddens her. Because of that, she worked hard on her other course (piano lesson) and she got to perform as an opening star. It made her proud of herself because she could make her mom and dad happy.

She was having a summer holiday break from all courses when she was found by PLEDIS Agent staffs in China, asking if she could sing or dance. 11-year-old young and innocent Zoey said yes happily. She had no clue about entertainment agencies, but she handed out Pledis Entertainment's name card to her dad. Her dad thought it could be a good opportunity to let her child to be trained by a professional, so the next day he secretly brought Zoey to go for an audition. Young clueless Zoey sang her favorite song by TVXQ, Mirotic and showed them some free-styled dances she learnt from her course. 

Her dad was really surprised when he was notified that Zoey passed audition and she could start being a trainee after getting both mom and dad's legal permit. After months considering, Zoey got the permit from her mom and dad. She then was sent to Korea by her dad and she started her life as a PLEDIS Entertainment trainee.

+ As a trainee, PLEDIS made her learn rapping. She did great and is positioned as a rapper
