I Want to Learn Mandarin

Hi there! So just like what the title reads, I'm writing this to talk about this one desire I've been holding in since I was in high school.

I want to learn Chinese Mandarin.

I don't know why but I think Mandarin is getting important recently. I'm not a native English speaker, so right now I can speak two languages; Malay and English. And I'm thinking of learning Mandarin as my third language. I've actually been loving to learn it since long time ago. It's just that I don't have enough time to take Mandarin lessons.

I'm having final exam atm. After that, I'll be kind of free starting from December till August 2017. So I think I need to start learning Mandarin during that time.

So... I've been wondering if any of you guys here who can help me with this. I don't mind if you volunteer yourself as my Mandarin teacher. I'd love to, in fact!

You might be questioning why can't I just learn Mandarin from YouTube or websites that provide Mandarin lessons. *sighs* I actually try to but it fails to attract me. :(

So... yeah that's it! I hope I'll get good response here. If you're willing to help me even just by giving advices or recommendations, I don't mind. Your comment is appreciated. ;)

Love, PinkBlossom_97

Hey~
I'm glad that you're interested in learning mandarin! Since I'm a native speaker, I'd be glad to be of any help you need.
Pro-Tip: Usually one half of the character is what gives the character its meaning. The other half influences the way you say the word.
I think the way you learn the language is quite important. Rather than just sitting there and staring at textbooks, I'd recommend learning pinyin first. Then you could try reading some chinese books with both the characters and pinyin, and get familiar with sentence structure and grammar.
I hope this helps!
