Overthinking

Hey you

I have seen that you can also write blogs on this page. Yass! So I'm going to try this.. Lol xD

I wanted to share something about some craps going on my mind right now. >.<

My crap for today: Overthinking

So first of all let us know what overthinking actually is.

Overthinking is simply thinking of such things too much. It is very simple to explain yet hard when you encounter it.

I have someone very close to me and unfortunately she had a problem with this thing and it to see her suffer with anxiety and depression.

Why does this thing (overthinking) happens to you?

1) It happens to a person who worries a lot about tomorrow.

Dude, Why worry about tomorrow when you are still living for today!? Don't fix your mind setting on the future. Yes, it is not bad to plan for your future okay? But don't take it like it's a requisite, you can do it anytime.. :)

2) When you are expecting too much.

Things happen even in the way you don't want it to be.... And you should accept it because it is bound to happen that way!

There are things that didn't go on your way and that really is depressing.. But hey! instead of thinking that "maybe it was your fault or maybe it should've been this way"; just think of the positive things that might come out upon that unexpected result. ;)

Definitely it happened so that you can learn something! ;)

3) No self-confidence.

Don't even try to compare yourself to others, they are not you! For example you have this so smart, rich and hot friend; there you go comparing yourself to that dude and thinking that "my friend is that smart and i'm not so they aren't gonna choose me." Woah, watch out! Every people is different from one another and definitely there are things that you can do but he can't and vice versa. :)

How to stop this crap?

1) You need to accept the fact that you are overthinking stuffs.

The first step to healing is acknowledging that you have a problem. If you feel like you can’t get out of your own head and over-thinking is stopping you from living a happy life, making decisions, getting things done, or forming meaningful relationships, then you have a problem. If you find yourself spiraling into negativity and depression when a bad thing happens, you have a problem. If your anxiety about the future is stopping you from enjoying the present, you have a problem. Burying your head in the sand or denying this reality will only make the situation worse. If you are not sure if you have a problem, ask your friends and loved ones to be honest with you, because they are usually the ones who will see it even if you cannot. (source: themindunleashed.com)

 2) Breathe more!

If our brains are wired in this ‘interconnected spider web’ where one bad event can trigger a tidal wave of negative thought associations, how can we break this pattern?

The first and easiest thing you can do is BREATHE. Breathing will relax you, calm you, connect you to the present moment, and ground you to Mother Earth. It sounds so simple but often when our mind starts to race to bad places, we become manic and frantic when what we need to do is relax the body and mind.

The breathing technique that works for me involves lying down and taking a two-second long deep inhalation in through the nose, followed by a four-second long exhalation out through the mouth. This breathing pattern increases the CO2 in the bloodstream, which can relax the body and calm the adrenal system’s response to the obsessive thoughts. Do this for 10 minutes or until the excessive thinking slows down. (source: themindunleashed.com)

3) Get yourself busy!

Have you tried doing things like excercising, hiking, travelling from different places, bonding with your family and friends or simply having a walk with your friends? Outdoor activities are the best to let go of such negative thoughts.

Or if you're kinda introvert person, you can just draw, paint, learn different languages, cook, bake, crafting. You'll never know maybe you will be able to discover your hidden talents! Wow! What a win-win situation we got there! :D

! I hope that this somehow help you! :)

Sometimes we have to control ourselves from overthinking. Because most of the time, overthinking of such things will makes us problems that are only base to our imagination that is not even a reality and Remember, Your Thoughts Create Your Reality so better make it a positive one! :)

Thank you for reading this piece of crap.. I hope it make sense.. ;)
