ARE YOU A MAN NOW?
We started awkward
You won’t talk and you seldom smile
Always putting a barrier so no one will become familiarize to you
Then we let it be
But you continued to come
That’s when the bridge started to burn
You let us come in
But it was never easy
There are times you still hide on your shell
There are times you won’t let out a single word
Yet we worked that out
I didn’t expect it but you became my companion
A brother that I will cherish forever
You’re so sweet and gentle
And the way we talked it’s like we’re blood related
It goes on and I thought it will stay like that
But then you suddenly changed
I don’t know why
Is it because of the hormones?
Someone told me; maybe because he’s growing older now
Maybe he’s maturing
Is it really because of that?
Is it really because of your maturing body?
Or is it something else?
I don’t get it at all and sometimes I’ll find myself wondering
“What have I done this time?”
Whatever happened to you, I will always miss that boy
Who will reach out my hand and smile at me.
