Hi dearies!

It's been too long since I've last written a blog here in AFF but I dunno, I guess I just had to put my unsolicited two cents on this issue.

Meaning, the one about who deserves the award more for the upcoming awards nights since it's already the end of the year.

At first, I saw this post in tumblr that screen capped two tweets from fans of a certain group (not naming anybody though) and telling that EXO (or was it EXO-Ls? sorry I don't remember correctly) to rot since their bias group deserves to win the album of the year this year

My first thought was if the criteria for winning the album of the year is sales alone, I'm pretty sure that EXO has the largest sales, physical and digital sales combined (please do correct me if I'm wrong)

In that premise then why would people stop EXO from winning?

But if it wasn't, well okay. TBH, I'm not as much of a fan of Lucky One/Monster and Lotto compared to Exodus and Love Me Right because I liked the songs from Exodus more than the album this year

So I guess it's okay if EXO won't win if there is a technical aspect in the criteria. And I'm not going to claim that I know how the panel who decides the winners decides.

Then it is a fair game for everyone, right?

But what I don't like is that there are some people who are trying to put other people's bias group because of this and because of that.

Who are we to judge who wins and not?

Sure, the fans do a big part in this awards since we are the ones who buy their albums and go to their concerts and votes to portals who asks us to vote for our bias group/artist

But what we can't do is to measure the other groups' capacity to win awards

And to bully those who are bullying our fandom and our bias group

Like OMG

haven't we learned yet?

but then, maybe it's just that there really are people who can't learn. sigh

I'm not writing this to defend those EXO-Ls who are stepping over the line. I've read in a comment section that there is a specific EXO-L mentioned that is kinda wrecking havoc in twitter. Though the commenter has said that we EXO-Ls go savage on any group that poses a threat to EXO, the thing is other people from other fandom also view us as the bad people

The hate between fandoms just grows and what do we get from it? Instead of all us kpop fans uniting to support all the artists, some are adamant on bringing others down.

If you wish your bias group to win, then support them with all your might and spend all your spare time voting for them and cheering them on instead of going to all social media platforms bragging about your bias group and bringing others down. In all fairness, there are too many groups that have excelled this year so may the best group/artist win right?

The awards are just a bonus for all the hardwork that the kpop artists did but if they don't win, then there is still next year and more chances to share their music to their fans and everyone who cares to listen. Awards may put glitter and glam around the artist's name but their worth is measured by the effort that they put into their art and profession.

And do you know which fuels this effort?

It's us fans. The support and love that we give them is what drives them to better themselves and enables them to reach their dreams (if I may be so dramatic).

They don't need fandom wars . That just causes unnecessary stress.

So yeah.

I wish all the groups good luck and Imma go and vote for EXO and so should you. :D

(or whoever your bias is ^^,)
