wheein could be the most silent person on the earth, not to be exaggerating but that is the truth. however, if her other members; solar, moonbyul and hwasa, are together with her, she can be that someone who dances along the railing of train; a wild wheein, that we sometime can see during on-cam. her reason is that her friends are just as crazy like her.

 

being the only child in her family, she is really sweet to both her parents and showers them with cute aegyo in every chance she gets but she can be scary too. it was just exactly that one time that she disobeyed her parents and they scolded her with some harsh words and being a young blood was one of the reason too, she immediately flipped their small dining table and walked out of the house. till this day, her parents could not bring themselves to bring it up.

 

⇒ during on-cam

 

even moomoo knows that wheein is quirky and funny on her own good. the other members claimed her as the mood-maker of the group as she is so funny and lively just like she had a good nap right before filming. she gets cautious of her surrounding as well even during filming as she wants everyone on the set to laugh at her jokes so she gets stressed about that sometimes.

 

⇒ wheein gets pretty much anything that she asked for as the only child in her family and she was grateful as her parents were very nice towards her and never fought on daily basis. however she got scolded by her father the most as she did not get flying colours in her result during high school because she concentrated on singing but she bore the scolding and made a desicion that she wanted to be a singer one day. she begged her parents but it was to vain but one day, her mother came up to her and said, "go and be someone that you want. appa and omma are right beside you."

 

during trainee years, she was bullied rather a lot by the other trainee-mates under the company before she entered the company she is under now. it was all because of her short height and her sharp nose that seemed to be 'done' by a professional but since she had a great mentality, she nicely assured them that it was not a fake nose and in the end, she left the company as she was very stressed out from the bullying. she then entered rbw entertainment and practised hard every single day to be a singer.

 

and now, after all those tiring, stressful, sometimes exciting, trainee days, she becomes one of the members of mamamoo along with her middle-school-bestie; hwasa. at first, truthfully, she was not expecting that they will be this big in the industry and according to an article that she accidentally read, mamamoo becomes big with their great stage perfomance and great voices along with raps and the constant fan-service for their moomoos.

 

 

 

  

⇒ cousins

wheein is cousins with the drummer of cnblue, kang minhyuk. she had mentioned in an interview before that she have two cousins that she is very close with and one of them is minhyuk. minhyuk adores her as his cousin and thinks that dimple on wheein's right cheek is cute and likes to poke it. right after mamamoo's debut stage at kbs music bank, minhyuk who was already in mamamoo's waiting room, surprised wheein with a lunch set for all the other members and the staffs of rbw entertainment.

 

 

  

 

⇒ childhood boyfriend

 kim taehyung, one of the vocal line in bangtan boys, was wheein's childhood boyfriend and only their family members and group members know about that. they went to the same kindergarten and liked each other company and as a six-year-old it was a big thing to have a crush on someone. they would share they lunch box together or drink from the same bottle for the rest of the day until one day, taehyung had to move to another city because of some family stuffs. therefore, both of them made a pinky promise to never lose contact with each other and will meet up when they are old enough. they never did but taehyung recgonised wheein on the stage when bts and mamamoo were performing together. they became

 

 

 

  

 

⇒ partners in crime.

 wheein had vowed that she did not want to lose solar, moonbyul and hwasa in her life ever, she even said once that she would not know what to do if one of them is not right beside her. they have seen wheein in her best and worst, even knew wheein's deepest secret. wheein once said that she did not want to force a friendship to happen and she is already comfortable and happy with a small group of friends.

 

 

trivia / 

⇒ wheein can be a total different person after taking a long shower. hwasa has been always pointed it out but the former shrugged it off, saying that she is naturally that way. she could be totally in pissy mood before taking a shower and excited afterwards and vice versa.

 

⇒ wheein has a love towards reptiles and she had a snake pet during her 8th grade. it was all because she thought that the snake could take care of the place she was staying after hearing a shaman telling her about it. another scary fact, the snake disappeared and could not be found anymore.

 

⇒ despite being a reptile lover, wheein hates any animal with furry hair; cats and puppy. she accidentally jumped on solar's back after the latter's puppy, ding ding, strolled around their dorm one day.

 

⇒ although she is already 21 years old, she still have to drink at least a sip of hot milk before sleeping. it is habitual, she claimed.

 

⇒ wheein cried herself to sleep during her trainee years which last for almost 4 years. after that secret was broken out by moonbyul to the public, she said that she rarely parted way with her parents as the main reason for her cries.

     

FOUR / how are your relationship with the other members of mix?

⇒ we are still in the phase of getting to know each other better but things has been hectic after our first fansigning event so we are still kind of awkward among the other members. however, i'm so happy to reunite with taehyung and i think rather a lot of our fans know about our friendship.
