PERSONALITY:

"Never push a loyal person to the point of not caring [Protective/Loyal]" || Jimin is very loyal to those who have earned her trust. Almost loyal to a fault. To her friends and people she deems as "family" she will stand by their side through hell or high water. When everyone else is against them, even if she knows her friends or family are wrong, she'll have their back and protect them if need be. Jimin would risk her life for those she is loyal to. She doesn't trust people easily, mind you. But, when she trusts someone, she trusts them completely.  But, her loyality isn't blind. If someone does something to lose her trust, it's probably the worst thing for that person. She'd no longer trust them in pretty much anything. And it's nearly impossible to regain her trust. Maybe not impossible, but very difficult. She doesn't instantly distrust or trust someone when first meets them. She gives the person time in hopes so she can see their true character. 

"I'm not a princess. I'm a goddamn Queen [Confident]" || If condifence is y, than Jimin must be ing gorgeous. Jimin has so much poise and grace that she practically appears regal. She commands attention with her presence. She lets the world see that she doesn't care what others think of her and that she doesn't compare herself to others. Jimin believes that confidence is more of an attitude than a state of being. If she does something embarrasing - trip on stage or something - she simply rolls with it and continues on like nothing happened. If someone addresses it, she'll simply respond with something like, "So?" She doesn't appear to be embarrased by anything and takes things in stride.

"A mind is a terrible thing to waste [Cunning/Wise]" || Jimin is smart and witty, a deadly combination if used right. She can manipulate people, rather easily, which is rather concerning. Jimin doesn't have a major problem in regards to using people as long as it's for the greater good. She's a tricky woman, using her smarts to work around the system when it's necessary and suits her. She can solve difficult problems by looking at them in a new light. She isn't a genius, but she's inivative. 

"I'm not a difficult person. I'm a constant ing delight [Funny/Sarcastic]" || Sarcasam is practically a second language to Jimin. She's as fluent with it as she is with Korean. She has a crude sense of humor. Jimin can have a erted mind and she doesn't try to hide it. She doesn't care who's around or who hears her, she'll say whatever crude or erted joke that pops into her head. Oh, you're offended by her off-handed comments? Well, too damn bad. She's not going to alter or pick-and-choose her words just because someone is butthurt about them. Her humor might be a bit dry, but it does brighten her day as well as others. Now, Jimin might not pick-and-choose her words, but she knows when it's best to not say what's on her mind. She had to learn to curb her impulses. Jimin is also the resident prankster. She enjoys messing with her teammates when she gets the chance. She doesn't do anything that's malicous or mean, but she does things that typically annoy or humor the other girls.

"We'll either find a way, or make one [Stubborn/Opionated]" || When you think of the word stubborn, you usually think of the phrase, "Stubborn as a bull". Well, they're going to have to change it to, "Stubborn as Jimin". Jimin stands by her beliefs. But, she isn't blindly stubborn. She supports her stances on issues with facts and reason. If someone presents contradicting information - credible information - she'll review and revise her stance. She has strong opinions and isn't afraid to voice them. But, like her sense of humor, just because she isn't afraid to voice, doesn't mean she always voices them. Jimin has learned when it's best just to keep shut.

"The important thing is to never stop questioning [Inquisitive/Curious]" || Jimin has always questioned the world she lives in. She finds things intriguing and interesting and she must know more. Mainly, it includes history and science. In her free time, Jimin is always trying to learn more, to understand all there is. Sometimes her curiosity gets the best of her and she can't stop until she's figured something out. But, her curious nature doesn't stop at academics. She's curious about what's going on at Rival and wants to know why this, and why that. And she will have her answers. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

"We all have a story we will never tell [Secretive]" || Jimin wasn't always secretive. She had always been good at keeping secrets for like parties and gifts, but it wasn't a lifestyle. But, nowadays, Jimin keeps things close to the chest. For obvious reasons, people outside of her bandmates don't know everything about her because some people just won't believe what she's been through. Also, she's had to keep up a facade around Rival Entertainment. Sometimes she has so many sides and different faces that she shows to different people, Jimin begins to wonder who the real her is. But, she's good at keeping each "persona" in order... most of the time.

"One day, I fear that you'll realize that I'm not as great as you thought [Insecure]" || Many people think that when Jimin mentions she feels insecure that she's just trying to get attention. This, in part, is why she never mentions it. Jimin also feels odd when she does have these insecure thoughts because she thinks that if she's confident she can't be insecure. But, nevertheless, usually when she's alone, late at night, she'll look at herself in a mirror and thoughts enter her mind like "You're not good enough," "People don't really like you" "Who would ever love you?" She would definitely correlate her insecurity with her secretive nature. She's really worried that others will desert her if she actually shows people her true and full self.   

"People may not tell you... But they'll show you [Observant]" || Jimin enjoys people watching. Just like her, people may not tell you something, but sometimes you can pick up on what's going on just by watching. Jimin can pick up on small gestures or microexpressions because, having performed them herself, she knows what to look for. Pair with this observant behavior, Jimin has a good memory and stores this information away until she has to call on it.  

"Be careful who you trust. Even the devil was once an angel [Cautious]" || As mentioned before, Jimin is very loyal to those who have earned her trust; however, earning that trust can be hard than it seems. Sometimes, people think they have her trust, but they may be mistaken. Rival Entertainment has warped her view of the world. Jimin thinks anyone and everyone is out to get her or use her. She doesn't let people see this worry however, and simply plays along.

"Age doesn't define maturity [Mature]" || Jimin is fairly young for society's standards, and sometimes, she certainly doesn't act her age. She's always acted older and after being "recruited" by Rival Entertainment, that was only accelerated. She's become very comfortable conversing with her elders that, sometimes, it actually gives her a headache when she deals with naive little girls. Part of that is simply because she's envious that they can still be naive. Jimin was forced to grow up way too fast and leave such childish behaviors behind. Now, you may be asking, "How can Jimin be mature when she's a bit of a prankster?" Well, her bandmates see this playful side of her. When she's with the other girls, Jimin feels like a weight is lifted off her shoulders. She doesn't have to be strong or mature, she can be the young adult that she never got to be. 

"One, two, three, four, I declare a tongue war [Flirtatious]" || Maybe it's because she grew up in a mixed household, but Jimin is not afraid to go for what she wants or be flirty. Some people will scold her for this, because it's not conservative or lady-like, but she doesn't care. Unintentionally, this aspect of her personality is very useful on variety shows and whatnot. Sometimes, people get tired of seeing these shy, bashful girls who have never even thought about kissing a guy... Let alone doing other things with him. Sorry, Miran. Jimin doesn't really have a style when she flirts. Some people are subtle, some are pretty blatant. But, Jimin caters her flirtatious advances to the situation. She's really good at reading situations. But, it should also be mentioned that, even when she's not flirting, it may appear so. Jimin is very comfortable around guys and gets along well with them. So, even her simply hanging out with any guy is often mistaken as flirting. Just because Jimin is flirtatious it doesn't mean she's just going around and flirting with every, single guy. If Jimin enjoys a guy's company and thinks there might be something there, she isn't afraid to make the first move or gesture. Though, Jimin wouldn't mind the guy making the first move or a surprise gesture.

On stage: On stage, hosts have given her the title, "The Seductress" or "Goddess". This is due to her very down-to-earth, not-so-naive/innocent act. She comes off as mysterious, but inviting. Her smile, as described by some host "can light the way through the darkest night". Jimin may have almost secretly gagged at that, but nevertheless. She doesn't come off as "holier-than-thou" and she's very earthy. Though she is beautiful and an idol, some fangirls feel that she's real (we won't spoil it for them that she has many personas). They feel this because she doesn't fit typical girl-group models. Though she's labeled as a "Seductress" that's not all there is to her. Fangirls can see she's not just a symbol and she actually has substance.

With bandmates: Her bandmates see, what is probably the closest thing to the real Jimin as there is. They witness all her flaws and issues. She still hides things from them that she deems is for their own good. Miran knows the most about her (roughly about 75% of what Jimin is) and knows most of her secrets, but not all. Just like she is on stage, Jimin is mysterious, but her bandmates don't question it. They've learned that Jimin does what she does in order to protect them or help them. Her bandmates are relieved when they see Jimin relaxing and playing around with the others.

BACKGROUND: 

Kwon Jimin was born on a warm summer day. She grew up in a loving family that consprised of her mother, father, herself, and her older brother, Junyoung. It gave her a different perspective on her world. Jimin spent most of her time as a young child with her brother and her mother. Her father, Yongchul, was always away at work. Isabella, Jimin's mother, fostered her love for foreign music and culture. Her mom would sing around the house and she would sing mainly in Italian and occassionally in English and rarely in Spanish. Having been a model before she married Yongchul, Isabella had travelled all over Europe and picked up on all their cultures. Anyway, Junyoung and Jimin, though having been raised in Korea, their household was very European.

Jimin showed interest in singing and dancing at a young age. Her mom supported her in anything she wanted to do. She began to take lessons and she noticed that she loved dance but she had a natural talent for singing. Doing all this though made her childhood busy. She was active in playing soccer - at least with her brother and his friends, singing, and dancing. Throughout middle school, her school hosted a play every year. And, deciding there wasn't enough on her plate already, she decided to audition her last year of middle school for the play. She happened to get the lead female role and it was a huge success. This gave Jimin such a rush and she decided to go into theatre when she hit high school.

One night during the summer between middle school and high school, on her way home from her dance lesson she senses someone following her. She had her duffle bag latched around her body and had tradded out her ballet shoes for simple flats. After walking a few blocks, and concluding that she was indeed being followed. Jimin thought she could outrun her pursuers due to the fact she was in top physical condition. However, she can't outrun a car. A van pulled up in front of her and as the door opened up, three guys jumped out and grabbed her. She was in the van before anyone else on the street could figure out was going on.

Jimin found herself strabbed to a chair in a very clinical yet dimly-lit room. Frantically, Jimin glanced around, trying to understand what was going on. She was still in her dance clothes, so she figured that was a good start. Soon, a woman made herself known. She had a radiant smile, but something about her eyes were off. 

"And you are?" Jimin asked, well, more like barked out at the woman. "Typically, when one asks for a name, they give up their own in return." "Oh, I'm sorry. I'd curtsey too, but, I'm a bit tied up." Jimin didn't know what was going on and she wasn't helping herself. 

Days stretched into weeks and weeks into months. Jimin had realized that what this woman, whom she learned to be Moon Mirae, wanted was to change her. To brainwash her. The older woman had tried various methods in order to break and subsequently brainwash Jimin. But, nothing worked. Jimin realized she'll never get out of this hellish torture unless she pretend they were getting what they wanted. It was all an act to her. 

She's soon released from the torture and meets Miran. Miran begins to try to explain to Jimin that she was brainwashed, but Jimin stops her short. "They tried, it didn't work. I know who I am, I know who my family is, and I know that what they're doing is wrong." Miran was surprised - both that she wasn't actually brainwashed and that she was able to convince Moon Mirae that she was. It was from then on, at the ripe age of fifteen, Jimin learned that life is just an act.

- Chocolate || What woman doesn't like chocolate?
- Strawberries || Jimin loves fruit - well, food in general - but strawberries are her favorite. However, she doesn't like chocolate-covered strawberries.
- Music || Jimin had already enjoyed music before Rival, and it's a part of her. It can express things that Jimin just can't say.
- Soccer || It's her favorite sport and at one point she considered going pro... That was cut short, wasn't it?
- Horror movies || She loves a good horror movie. It might not scare her in that moment or ever... - she usually stays up late that and she typically leaves a light on.
- Night/Moon || Jimin has always found something so magical and ethereal about it.
- Thunder/Lightning storms || Storms are just so powerful and majestic. Jimin enjoys watching as lightning to dance across the sky
- Marvel || Jimin is kind of a marvel buff. Her favorite character is definitely Loki
- TV shows || She enjoys sitting down and watching a good TV show and she has been known to binge-watch entire shows. Some of her favorites include: Doctor Who, Supernatural, Bones, Once Upon a Time, and others.

- Early Mornings || Jimin is not a morning person. At all.
- Humid weather || She may like warm weather, but humid weather is just disgusting.
- Bright lights || They simply irritate her eyes.
- Stupid comedies || Movies like Pineapple Express or Tropic Thunder. They're just lost on Jimin. She thinks they're stupid.
- Hot drinks || How un-Korean! She knows. She doesn't like hot tea, hot coffee, or hot chocolate.
- Aeygo || Jimin might be naturally cute, but she doesn't perform aeygo. It might be hypocritic, but Jimin doesn't mind - and even likes it - on guys, but doesn't like seeing it on girls.

- If she's embarrassed, Jimin doesn't blush. But she will smile widely.

- Jimin is actually concerned that she doesn't know who she really is. She knows she is Kwon Jimin, her parents are Kwon Jongchul and Isabella, and her brother is Junyoung. But, she's kept up some act or charade for so long, she doesn't know if her personality is even hers anymore.
- Many nights, Jimin wonders if her family is looking for her or if they think she's dead.
- Some of her favorite artists include a wide varitey of individuals and groups. These include: Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Maroon 5, Super Junior, Il Volo, Rise Against, Twenty-One Pilots, and BIGBANG.
- When it comes to dance styles, Jimin mainly focused on ballet and classical ballroom dances - Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Waltz, Quickstep. She used to do pointe - she still can - but it hurts her feet and she knows how damaging it can be. But, that's expanded over the years. Now, she's gotten into breakdancing, belly dancing, and contemporary styles.
- She wants to become a better dancer and really shine in that aspect.
- Her voice has been likened to Kelly Clarkson and P!nk.
- She has quite a range in reagrds to her voice.
- Jimin really wants to do a version of Grease the musical.
- Jimin wants to travel.
- She loves animals, but if she had to choose, she'd pick dogs in a heartbeat.
- Both her style and attitude are influenced by her Italian heritage and her love of American pop culture.
- She loves Disney movies. Some of her favorites are: Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet, Anastasia (yes, she's now a Disney princess), Hercules, Atlantis, Mulan, Aladin and Brave.
- Some movies that she loves, that aren't Disney, include: Princess Bride, Memoirs of a Geisha, V for Vendetta, Formula 51, The Losers, the Harry Potter series, the Lord of the Rings series, The Mummy, The Italian Job, and marvel movies.

- She either works out or does yoga every day for roughly an hour.

Isabella always supported Jimin in anything and everythin she wanted to do. She insisted on studies over everything else though. Isabella was sweet to her daughter, trying to give her the best life that she could.

Jimin doesn't know too much about her own father. He was always away at work or work-related functions. And then with her own schedule, she hardly ever saw him. She hates the fact he cared more about his company than his own family.

Jimin had loved spending time with her older brother. Sometimes, he saw it as a drag having his kid sister follow him around, but he loved her dearly and looked out for her. He taught her how to look out for herself. Even with the age difference, they were as thick as thieves.

Jimin and Miran work together in order to try and bring down Rival. Many times, they have to keep secrets from the other girls and this puts a weight on their shoulders. They understand one another's struggles and can communicate with simple gestures and looks.

SCENE REQUEST: 

✩ Jimin and Hyukjae on variety shows. Jimin being a little flirty on TV and Hyukjae becoming a bit embarrased and shy, but happy. 

✩ Hyukjae covering his mouth when he smiles or laughs around Jimin. She questions him about it and he eventually tells her that he's self-concious about his "gummy smile". She tells him she likes his smile, that it's handsome, and that he better not cover it again. He slowly stops covering his smile around her.

✩ Hyukjae begins to realize there's another side to Jimin that he hasn't seen and he begins to question her about.

✩ Jimin and Hyukjae perform a dance routine together. Perferably some form of classical ballroom dance.

✩ Maybe some type of scandal? Those are always fun.
