Joojin, contrast to Ken, is an introvert (a little like Leo). audacious. she can be a little rude and bold at times, not thinking about the consequences. unemotional. though if you get to know her more, she's also expressive. she's just, hesitant to reveal herself. too alert. being a leader means having to take cautions and choosing the right decisions and being able to take risks, turned her into an over cautious person. cold feet and uneasy. Joojin gets stage fright even though she's the leader (and is supposed to show a good example). self-conscious. Joojin, being the younger sister of Ken, frequently gets judged and compared to her brother. this sometimes upsets and frustrates her, since she wants to be able to make it to the top by her own efforts, not because she's related to Ken. persistent. very stern to her members. she sometimes can go a little overboard, like shouting at them if they slowed down in practice, or eat too much junk food (all because she cares for them and only wants the best for them). the way she expresses her care and love is different (just like how VIXX expresses their love by hitting each other). and because of that, she was often misjudged as a vicious fake leader. arrogant. if Joojin tells you to practice now, you better well do it before she drags you by your feet. spacious. you can often find Joojin at Pluto or planet loony.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

12 November 1995, Jayang-dong, Seoul. Little Joojin was born to a loving family of 4. Contrasts to Jaehwan, Joojin was the complete opposite of him. Introvert and untalkative. That's how she was even when she was a little girl. Though, sharing the same blood with Jaehwan means having similar weird 4D personality. Don't be surprised if Joojin and Jaehwan teamed up to annoy or prank their older brothers or parents. Joojin can also be a handful to her parents. Having huge stamina and energy in her childhood days, Joojin's parents enrolled her to a tap and ballet class, since they think it would help on spending her humongous amount of energy. At school, she was an introvert. But she did have a couple of friends. Joojin pursued ballet and tap dance from the young age of 4 until now. Joojin, like Jaehwan, particpated in many competitions, but dancing competitions. She won and lost here and there. Joojin found her love at dancing, and decided to pursue whatever career in dancing. Dancing is where you can see Joojin's other side ; serious, dominating and expressive. Not like a little awkward wallflower. At 7 years old, Joojin wanted to go to a dance class, so her parents enrolled her at a dance course. Now Joojin goes to 3 classes ; ballet, tap and dance. At home, is where Joojin's weird mischievious side comes out. Whereas Jaehwan majors in singing, Joojin was in dancing. The duo likes to perform in front of their parents and 2 older brothers. Their parents and brothers clapped and laughed (because they're just too cute and hilarious). Joojin was close to all her brothers, leading her to become a girl with a boyish nature. You can find her boldly climbing trees or playing in the dirt, chasing her brothers around.

In middle school, Joojin was a little more open thqn before, yet she still is a shy person. Despite that, you can start to notice  Joojin's leader like aura. She went to her school's dance club and choreographed the moves, effectively leading her team to win in a school dance competition. She also joined her school choir and school's pingpong club. Joojin was also her class president in her first year of middle school. Eventhough Joojin's quiet and awkward, she has a scary stern side. She was also part of the student council, and was a potential candidate as the student council president. In her 2nd year of middle school, there was a program for exchange students, where Korean students can go study in a foreign country for half a year. Joojin wanted to join the program, and chose Chengdu, China as her destination. Her parents fully supported her, and cheered her on. She passed  the test and qualification. A month later, Joojin went to Chengdu, China, with her fellow friends and schoolmates who also chose China as their exchange. There, she stayed with her Chinese host family. She attended a local Chinese school. Joojin can only speak basic Mandarin, previously practicing Chinese a month before her exchange in China (her school provided language courses prior for the exchange students before they go on their respective destinations). She cannot communicate that well with her Chinese classmates, yet they welcomed her warmly. In China, Joojin found interest in gymnastics. She was fascinated at how at such a young age, even younger than her, Chinese kids attended gymnastic classes, turning them super bendy and flexible. Eventhough some people say that Chinese people are harsh unemotional tigers when teaching little students, aiming for perfection, Joojin didn't care. She signed up at a gymnastic class during her time in China. And her teacher was kind, seeing potential in Joojin. Joojin stayed in China for 6 months before returning back to Korea. By then, Joojin gained another talent in gymnastics (though not the very best, she's a quick learner and is now a flexible human being). In Korea, Joojin continued her gymnastics by attending a gymnastic class in Korea.

In her third year of middle school, when she was just 15 years old, Joojin was captivated by rapping. She thinks that rapping is like a challenge, whether you can catch the beat or not. At first, she was amazed at how fast a human can sing-talk (rap's like a mix of singing and talking yet there's a beat to it). Joojin started doing amateur rapping here and there. It was out of tune and spluttery at first. But Joojin continued until she can match the beat with the rapper. Around this time, Jaehwan's singing talent have expanded. Yet Jaehwan didn't show any interest yet in being a future idol. Meanwhile, Joojin's love of dance (and rap) grew. Joojin quit her old dance class and decided to go to 1MILLION dance studio, attending daily dance lessons there in her first year of high school at the age of 16. When Joojin was a student in training in 1MILLION, she joined a more prestigious dance competition. One time, unluckily, she lost to her opponent at a dance battle. Tired, upset and frustrated at herself, Joojin was about to pack up after the battle ended when a WM represantive scouted her and offered her a chance at WM Entertainment. Joojin was surprised (she was like "uhm sir? I lost? why on earth would you be picking me? that girl was way more better than I am" on the inside). The represantive told her that she has potential, and encouraged her to audition at WM. At ths time also, coicidentally, Jaehwan also showed an interest in being an idol. Meanwhile Joojin was at a mental debate whether to audition in WM or not. Gaining balls, Joojin finally auditioned in WM, showing excellent dance moves and somewhat okay rapping. To her joy, Joojin got accepted. She became a trainee at WM for 2 years from 16 to 17 years old. During her time in WM, Joojin was still a shy person. She also met and have practiced with yet-to-debut trainee fellow B1A4 members. They were friendly and kind to her, still trying to initiate a conversation with her eventhough Joojin was shy and wasn't that talkative back then. Joojin was a trainee with excellent dancing skills, and she was appointed as B1A4's sub choreographer / dance trainer if their dance teacher was unavailable. During that time, Joojin slowly opened up and started to show her weird crazy side to B1A4. Though she was now close with all members, she conneted the most with the chic maknae, Gongchan. They were both shy yet have such clashing personalities. Chic vs quick-witted. They would bicker non-stop. When Joojin was 17 years old, Jaehwan later auditioned in Jellyfish, following his younger sister's footsteps and got accepted. Joojin was shocked at how easily her brother made it to Jellyfish (with his outstanding singing skills). She, along with her parents and brothers, encouraged and supported Jaehwan. Jaehwan was also part of a reality searching-for-idol (like produce 101) show called MyDOL. Joojin, with her family, would cheer and become Jaehwan's personal fangirls and fanboys (cheering him all the way from home). They would make it their schedule to watch Jaehwan in MyDOL. ("Joojin hurry up, Jaehwan will appear any moment!" "Aish, wait up. I'm preparing popcorn!" "Aigoo our son is on TV yeobo!" "Whoa daebbak, our Jaehwannie!" "Go my dongsaeng!" "YAS! Kill em hyung!" "Aish Joojin, don't call your brother hyung, call him oppa!" "Ew no Eomma!"). 5 months later Jaehwan debuted with VIXX. That time, Joojin was the first to become a trainee, Jaehwan later joining her. They both auditioned at different entertainments (WM and Jellyfish respectively) so not many people knew she was related to Jaehwan. 2 years later, Joojin quitted WM. She felt a little discouraged by seeing her brother's rising success (though she kept it to herself and would say that school became hectic if anyone asked her why she left WM).

Later on, Joojin was in a tired and depressed mood. She wanted to continue dancing, but her spark was gone. Her brothers and parents were sad seeing Joojin like that. So they encouraged her to try again. Joojin felt that her chances were slipping away, so she listened to her parents and sent her self-choreographed dance moves for 1MILLION video (from 0:00 to 0:53, she asked her fellow friends from 1MILLION to help video her) of her dancing and rapping (from 0:25 to 1:01) to Woollim Entertainment. She got acepted. In Woollim, she befriended fellow trainees (future Lovelyz members). She usually is not close to anyone, but in Woollim, she instantly clicked with Lovelyz. Especially Jisoo. Them two are like husband and wife, brother and sister. Scolding, bickering, teasing each other endlessly. Lovelyz were on the road to debut back then. Often, Joojin would help coach Lovelyz or do a duet with Mijoo. Alas, after a few months of Lovelyz's debut, Joojin left Woollim in 2014, after 2 years of being a trainee there. Joojin wanted to try something new. And she did a bold risk, auditioning in Jellyfish. Back then, people didn't know she was Jaehwan's little sister, only close friends. Jaehwan/Ken's success in VIXX resulted him in only being able to contact and come home a few times a month. Jaehwan just started his career in VIXX, so Joojin was careful not to cause any scandal that can turn Jaehwan's career crashing down. A few small gossips and rumours was made here and there (when she was in WM and Woollim). Them fake beaches can't keep their mouth shut, trying to match her face with Ken of VIXX. Though they have the same family name, most of ther trainees think that she's not related to him (cause she can't sing as good as Ken and they're both the opposite of each other). A rash decision, wanting to be as good as Ken, led her to carelessly audition in Jellyfish. Sadly, she wasn't accepted. Joojin realized what a stupid mistake she did, and promised herself to be cautious next time. One last time, Joojin finally auditioned in Antenna. And she got accepted. Now, Joojin tries harder, and won't give up, ignoring people's gossip that she's not as good as her bro. Watch out peeps, the shy wallflower is now a fierce tiger!

→ Father, Lee Hwangchul ⋮ 47 ⋮ accountant ⋮ kind funny stern loving ⋮ Hwangchul is a kind hardworking man. He also has a goofy side to him, a trait which Jaehwan and Joojin inherit. Though he might be stern at times (of course for his own kids' sake), he's also a loving father. Hwangchul didn't expect that both of his kids were going to have a career in an entertainment industry, but nonetheless he still supports Jaehwan and Joojin.

→ Mother, Song Mihae ⋮ 47 ⋮ restaurant owner ⋮ strict wise supportive caring ⋮ Mihae is a beautiful caring and wise soul, a mother whom Joojin loves very much. Joojin would always seek her mother's advice. Mihae is also the one who nagged Joojin the most, telling her to not come home too late. Mihae's pretty stern in the wellbeing of her kids. Despite that, she's supportive in the things that her kids chooses to do (as long as they're good)

→ Brother, Lee Jaehwan ⋮ 24 ⋮ idol ⋮ dorky weird adorable stern protective dependable loyal caring annoying ⋮ Like typical siblings, they bicker back and forth like grannies and grandpops. Just the very start of Jaehwan's  career, Joojin had to be extra careful in keeping her identity a seret. Majority of netizens and fans don't take very kindly to anyone who's related with their bias (especially if they dislike that person for no particular reason). Some people, who knew beforehand, either shut up and doesn't care, or they start talking behind Joojin's back. And they, the people who already knew, sometimes compares Joojin to Jaehwan, which upsets Joojin. Growing up, also due to Jaehwan's busy schedule, they're only able to meet twice or thrice. Jaehwan is, weird. No comment. He's weird and funny, and is such a cutie. Many of Jaehwan's weird 4D side got inherited to Joojin. But when Jaehwan starts singing, his passion starts to show. Jaehwan didn't knew that at times Joojin felt insecure and worthless if she's compared to him, who's now a successful singer. Jaehwan also didn't knew that Joojin was bullied by the small amount of people who knew she was related to him. Once Jaehwan knew, he felt bad. And pissed at them haters hating without any particular reason. Jahewan became protective of Joojin, but Joojin wanted to be strong on her own, but is grateful for Jaehwan's concern. From a glance, it seems that Joojin and Jaehwan aren't close. But to show how much you care and love each other isn't counted through how many "I love you"s they say to each other every day. It shows from how an older brother/ youngest son is worried on how his family, especially his younger sister, is doing even when he's busy. It shows from how the younger sister would secretly back up and defend her brother in social media whenever he received hate. So, Joojin and Jaehwan are definitely close. Joojin's close with all her siblings. Up until now, despite the distances, they're still able to cheer each other up and on. Joojin and Jaehwan sometimes call each other (first to ask how the other person's doing, then straight to annoy and tease xD). They're each other's pillars.

→ 2 older brothers, Lee Joyoung & Lee Jiwoon ⋮ 27 & 25 ⋮ professor & coach ⋮ funny encouraging annoying kind ⋮ They're like Ken 1 and Ken 2, except that they're more mature and wise. Though, Joyoung and Jiwoon likes to tease Joojin from time to time. Like natural siblings, they're very protective of each other. Hence Joojin dislikes it whenever netizens or Jaehwan's haters start badmouthing her family. There's no clear particular reason on why the Lee family was hated (why was Kim Juna from Produce 101 hated? What did she do). So the whole Lee family had to keep quiet, otherwise more hate will spread to Jaehwan who'd just started his career. Aside from that, Joyoung and Jiwoon are Joojin's adorkable annoying protective brothers of Joojin who to no end. They're also the ones who helped Joojin face her problems if her parents are not present. Now, Joyoung and Jiwoon are married and live somewhere else. Though they frequently visited and check up on Joojin back home (mostly to annoy her lel).

⟪ FRIENDS ⟫

→ Fellow trainee, Gong Chanshik ⋮ 23 ⋮ B1A4 member ⋮ sassy fab chic sarcastic suave fun protective dork ⋮ Joojin was always the lone wolf when she was a trainee. Its not that she has a resting face, its more because she didn't talk much. That lasted until she met the future B1A4 bunch. They both train together at times, and Joojin was sometimes appointed as their sub dance teacher. At first Joojin was reluctant. But eventually she startd to reveal herself, thinking having some friends wouldn't hurt. Joojin loves all B1A4 members equally, and would sincerely back them up if anyone started hating on them. Joojin though, synchronize most with Chanshik. The evil sassy cutie maknae who's confidence is bigger than the whole of Asia. Its like as if Joojin found a carbon copy of Jaehwan. Chanshik is that annoying cutie dork who's looks are so perfectly sculptured by God. Chanshik and Joojin are like the polar ends of a magnet. Whenever they meet, they always attack each other ("Wow nice hair Chanshikkie, whose money did you borrow again?" "Hmm what's that I smell? Oh yes your irrelevant opinion"). Chanshik's also Joojin's no 1 stylist, criticizing her for her poor fashion. He's like WM's fashion police. And Chanshik's not very fond of Joojin's love for rock bands. ("God what is that sweater? Did you get it from a dumpster?" "Haha very funny Chanshik, now get ready cause I'm gonna kick you all the way to Hawaii")(*Chanshik suddenly starts to fix Joojin's hair* "Ah wae hyung-*receives a glare from Chanshik*- I mean Oppa-*Joojin shudders*-I like my hair the way it is!" "Shush child, I thought your hair was a dead hedgehog"). Despite Chanshik's sassy cutie side, he's stern and kind. Whenever Joojin received too much hardships, she would go to Chanshik and relieve herself by letting out all her emotions. Chanshik can also give her good advice (besides than fashion advices of course) and both are protective of each other. Besides that, Chanshik's also gentle and wise whenever Joojin's in a crying-angry mode. Chanshik also knows that Joojin's the younger sister of Ken from VIXX. Eventhough Chanshik's now in B1A4, they still contact each other.

→ Fellow trainee, Seo Jisoo ⋮ 22 ⋮ Lovelyz member ⋮ kind caring mother-like silly adorable stern cheerful protective ⋮ After Joojin quitted WM, she went to Woollim. Here, she met the future members of Lovelyz. Its also where she met her desert fox-like unnie, Jisoo. Having left WM made Joojin felt that she no longer has any friends, even if B1A4 still contacts her, they're idols now and have a busy schedule. Thus, Joojin's a lone wolf again. Lovelyz future members started to befriend her, since they both train together. Joojin was reluctant to reveal herself again, she didn't want to be left alone again. But they were sincere and kind to Joojin, Joojin couldn't help but feel warmth in her heart whenever she's with them. Jisoo's the one who tried to get more closer to Joojin. Having received hate previously and went to hospital to recover from her mental shock, Jisoo understands what's the dangerous harm of hate and what it can cause to people. Jisoo somehow feels that on the inside, behind all those smiles, Joojin's hurting. Jisoo boldly told Joojin to quit with her facade game and just let everything out (*alone in the practice room**Jisoo suddenly entered* "Ah Jisoo unnie? Wae-" "Quit it Joojin-ah, what did them trainees whisper behind you again?" "-huh? Unnie...I...no..."). Just one single sentence, and Joojin exploded, right in front of Jisoo. Jisoo quietly assures her, rubbing and patting her back. From that day forward, Jisoo always invited Joojin to train, eat and play along with Lovelyz. She's like a big protective mother hen to Joojin. Joojin's also protective of Jisoo, now having known that she has previously received hate before. Jisoo especially dislikes it whenever Joojin has doubts about herself, mainy about how she looks, thinking (Joojin got affected and swayed by haters) she's not pretty enough to be Ken's sister. Jisoo would fiercely tell her "Don't force yourself to match the standard of beauty. Its your charm that matters. Didn't I tell you before?"). Besides that, Jisoo is Joojin's adorkable cutie unnie who shamelessly aegyo's her way up to anything. ("Unnie-yah, quit it with the pupppy dog eyes. I already let you have a bite of my ham and cheese sandwich" "But Joojinnie, Unnie's hungry~" "Fine Jisoo unnie, here" "Waaah daebbak! Thanks Joojinnie, didn't know you could fall for my aegyo that easily~ *winks*" "Yah Unnie!"). Jisoo knows that Joojin's related to Ken of VIX. Joojin's also the one who helped Lovelyz train for their debut, choreographing a small part of their dance. Jisoo along with Lovelyz, still kept in touch with Joojin despite them being idols.

⟪ TRAINING LIFE⟫ 
Exceeding Jaehwan by being a trainee earlier than him, Joojin's trainee life was of course, full of hardships (just like every other trainees). Joojin previously attended gymnastic, ballet & tap class, so her dancing ability was more developed than the other trainees. But she still trained just as hard as her fellow trainees. Having did ballet and tap since 4 years old, dancing since 7 years old (later joined 1MILLION at the age of 16) and gymnastics at her 2nd year of junior high school (14 years old), Joojin's quite a pro in dancing. And not forgetting her abilities to rap, Joojin's advanced in both areas. Her singing is average, somehow okay. Being Jaehwan's sister caused her to keep careful identitiy of herself, quitting if she felt like its too much. Training was hard for Joojin. She has to wake up, commute to school, and coomute/walk to her training company. And come back home late, sometimes even staying over at the dorm provided. And that doesn't include her school, dance, tap and gymnastics class. Repeat the whole process for 6 years. Its definitely tiring for Joojin. At first Joojin was scouted after she lost in a competition. Joojin was scouted by a WM represantive. There Joojin trained for 2 years. She quit, and even almost turned her back on the idol world. Joojin regained her spirit back, having received encouragements from her friends and family. So Joojin sent an audition video to Woollim, and she got accepted. Here, Joojin tried harder and be more serious. But alas, after Lovelyz debuted, Joojin felt that she was not going anywhere. She quitted Woollim and in a rash decision, auditioned for Jellyfish. Joojin was tired. She was the one who trained earlier than Jaehwan, she was the one who tried harder in training despite being good in dancing and rapping yet why are her friends and brother debuting earlier than her and having major success?. Joojin wasn't accepted to Jellyfish. Joojin was in a depressed stressed frustrated mode. She felt like giving up and letting go. Joojin felt that her hardwork wasn't enough. It took some time for her to gain back her fire. After never-ending lectures and encouragements from her family and friends, Joojin changed her mindset. She started to appreciate and be grateful for things, and be patient since success doesn't come that easily. One last time, Joojin auditioned in Antenna. To her joy, she got accepted. Now Joojin, fresh and ready to train harder and be more sincere in training and not give up easily, is giving all she got. Bring it on~
⟪ PRE-DEBUT EXPERIENCES ⟫

☪ Though she's good enough to be an instructor at 1MILLION dance studio, due to her busy trainee life Joojin is more of an experienced senior. 1MILLION gave her the chance of making a choreography for 1MILLION because she's one of the longer trained trainees who improved greatly eventhough technically she's just a student there, and she choreographed Apologies (0:00 until 0:54). 1MILLION later on post in on their Youtube account, not under Lee Joojin's name but a cover name ( Yoojung Lee) (again, due to her wanting to keep her identity and her family's a secret)

Her phone lockscreen is an embarrassing photo of fellow Berry Belle members sleeping (secretly taken by Joojin)(she loves her Berry Belle babies very much). Her phone ringtones to each member is them sneezing or laughing (whenever her phone started to ring while sounding like a sneeze / unique laugh, she'll know right away which member it is. and yes, she has every single members' sneeze and laugh)

☪On one incident, Jaehwan wanted to meet up with Joojin and have a sibling date with her (not an actual date, basically them two doing sibling things like watching a movie or eating etc. Like a meet up after a long time) but Joojin came late. Jaehwan was a little upset, and scolded her for being late. Joojin then explained in tears that she took the longer route to meet up with Jaehwan because she didn't want sasaeng fans (who were following Joojin) to know Jaehwan's location (inspired by Twice Jungyeon)
