⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Min Soonmin was born in Seoul, South Korea to a Korean father and a half Korean, half Italian mother. Soonmin was to be the second oldest of three children. Growing up, Soonmin was very close to her family. When she was old enough to walk, he woul often cling to her older brother (Moonbi), folloing him around everywhere. As they got older, Soonmin and Moonbi became very close, even to the point where they would call eachother their best friends. For as long as Soonmin would tag along with her mother whenever she would take Moonbi to his dance lessons. She would contsatly beg her mum to let her do dancing like her older brother and finally was allowed to when she was four. Soonmin was upset when she found out that she couldn't be in the same classes as her brother due to her skill level, so even with her young age, Soonmin (with the help of Moonbi) worked as hard as she could and when she as five, she finally was abe to move up to the same class as her older brother where she started to develor more of a love for dancing.

When Soonmin was six, her youngest brother, Hoonbi was born. As Hoonbi grew up, he started to cling to his older sister and brother, just like Soonmin had done to Moonbi. As Hoonbi was growing up, Hoonbi and Soonmin would often play around with him, even dancing with him. When Hoonbi was five, he joined the same dance school as his older siblings and became even closer to Soonmin and Moonbi. When Soonmin was twelve, she was sent to an international middle school (Her father thought that knowing English would help his children in whatever path they were to take after they finished high school), where she ended up joining the dance club. It was the first time she really felt fully free when dancing. She opted to stop taking dance classes to continue dancing with her friends in the school dance club. Eventually, some members of the dance club decided to form a dance crew called Magik! The members of the crew performed at school tlent shows and participated in some small scale compititions. The crew continued well into the final year of middle school for the girls when they decided it was time for the crew to end.

After Soonmin had moved onto high school (at the same school) she started tagging along with her brother to a small dance studio owned by a girl who had just graduated high school. Though the studio was mall and only a few people attended, the had a strong family feel that kept drawing her in. Soonmin soon became an active member within the small studio community. She would often head the right after shcool, completing her homework at the studio before she would dance (otherwise her brother would get mad at her). It was during her first year at highschool and first year at the dance studio where the owner, Junghee had overheard her singing and encouraged her to start positing covers onto the internet. Junghee and Soonmin would often post videos with Junghee playing the guitar an Soonmin singing. The two would often perform together at Soonmin's families cafe.

When Soonmin had graduated high school, she took a job at her mother florist store, a coreogerper job at Junghee's dance sstudio and entered university as a dance major. During this time, Soonmin had started to gain a following from the covers she started to post on youtube, ending up with a couple thousend subscribers and Junghee's small dance studio had bloomed into a large studio with many members. When 2016, rolled around, Junghee found out about the auditions for Blooming Girls and convinced Moonbi and Hoonbi (who was now also a member fo the dance studio) to help convince Soonmin to audition. It took a while but Soonmin finally gae in and agreeded to enter the auditions. So with Junhee helping her with her vocals and song choices and Moonbi and Hoonbi helping her with her dances, she was ready to audition.

→ Mother, Silvia Minhee Min ⋮ Fourty-eight ⋮ Owner of a florist store and cafe ⋮ Kind, loveable and happy ⋮ Soonmin has always been close to her mother. She has always loved and ssupported Soonmin through any and everything.

→ Father, Min Youngho ⋮ Fifty ⋮ Retired professor and owner of a cafe ⋮ Odd, loving and messy ⋮ Even though Soonmin's father was busy when she was younger, he would always make time for his children one way or another. He is one of Soonmin's biggest supporters when it comes to her singing.

→ Older brother, Min Moonbi ⋮ Twenty-five ⋮ Choreographer and worker at the family cafe ⋮ Charismatic, charming and open ⋮ Soonmin has been close with Moonbi for as long as she can remember. The two were always around eachother and shared a love for dancing. The two spend almost every day together even up until now. Soonmin can not think of a day in her life where she has not seen her older brother. They often spend most fo their time teasing eachother, even when dancing.

→ Younger brother, Min Hoonbi ⋮ Fifthteen ⋮ School student and the Min families resident ray of sunshine ⋮ Cheerful, messy and relaxed ⋮ Soonmin is close with her Hoonbi like she is with Moonbi. Hoonbi joined the dance studio that Junghee owns and Soonmin and Hoonbi became even closer through that. They see eachother almost every day and soonmin feels protected over him... even if he is taller and stronger than her. He is still her little brother.

→ Soulmate, Ophelia 'Lia' Smith ⋮ Twenty-one ⋮ University student studying biology ⋮ Loud, smart and kind ⋮ Ophelia was Soonmin's forst friend she made after entering middle school. From the moment they met, the girls have been joint at the hip. Ophelia was the one that decided to form a dance crew with Soonmin in middle school. Eventhough Ophelia does not dnce anymore, the girls are still as close as ever.

→ Best friend, Moon Junghee ⋮ Twnety-three ⋮ Owner of a dance studio ⋮ Aloof, calm and daring ⋮ Junghee has been a big part of Soonmin's life ever since the start of high school. Soonmin is very thankful to the older girl for creating such a wonderful dance community. The two often hang around eachother and end up mucking around when they are meant to be doing other things.

→ Close friend, Nam Minwoo ⋮ Nineteen ⋮ Cafe worker ⋮ Shy, witty and loud ⋮ Soonmin and Minwoo met when he started to work at Soonmin's family cafe. The two became close after working together a few times. They get along well and can always be seen laughing together in the cafe.

→ Close friend, Ahn Maeri ⋮ Eighteen ⋮ Dance intructor ⋮ Confident, cheerful and messy ⋮ Soonmin only met Maeri about a year ago, but the two became close quickly. They discovered that they both share the same style of dancing and bonded over singing. Maeri and Soonmin often just lay arounf the dance studio before, between and after classes.

→ Acuaintance, Kim Seokjin ⋮ Twenty-four ⋮ Member of BTS⋮ personality ⋮ Soonmin met Jin through her brother, Moonbi after he had helped corograph one of BTS' dances. Moonbi and Jin are very close, best friends you could say. Even though Soonmin does not see Jin much, the two get along just fine.

→ Idol, Hong Jinyoung ⋮ Thirty-one ⋮ Trot singer ⋮ When Soonmin had started singing, there was someone she always looked up to and that was Hong Jinyoung. Soonmin has always been interested in trot music and one day she wishes that she will be able to become a trot singer as good as her idol, Hong Jinyoung.

Soonmin has been dancing since the age of four and has been very active within a dance studio from the time she entered high school. She never took any vocal lessons but has had help from her friend Junghee. Soonmin also has a youtibe with a humblr following of a few thousand subscribers. All in all, Soonmin has only been profesionally tained in dancing and never in vocals, but she still maintains go skills that she has improved over time with her covers.

Hello! My name is Min Soomin but I am also known to some as May! I am a twenty year old dance major, florist and choreographer from Seoul!

⟪ WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO COME AUDITION FOR BLOOMING GIRLS TODAY? ⟫

It's because of my brothers and friends that I have coeme to audition. They encouraged me to come and audition for Blooming Girls today! If it wasn't fot them, I don't think I wouldhave thought to come today.

⟪ WHAT SONGS HAVE YOU PREPARED FOR YOUR AUDITON TODAY? ⟫

I am prepared to sing 'Hellelujah California' by Luna Shadows and 'Broken Doll' by Miwoo and I am also prepared to dance to 'Worth It' by Fifth Harmony and lastly there is another song I am prepared to sing, it is a trot song called 'Cheer Up' by Hong Jin Young! I am hoping that it can be my sort of secret weapon if I make it into the last round.
