Being someone who rarely speaks, Shisae gives off a 'cool' or 'chic' presence to those who don't know her well. No one could mistake her as shy or timid because she doesn't hold herself in such a way, and she tends to speak with her actions or her expressions instead of her words for reasons unknown to both her and the people around her. However, she's always been a quiet person since childhood, never really seeming to relate to the others around her that were her age. Many times, people will mistake her for not caring or being nonchalant about any and everything. In reality, Shisae can very easily be empathetic, though she isn't likely to do anything about it. There are times when her empathy will lead her to become compassionate to others, helping when she can and doing things for others rather than herself. For the most part though, she tends to keep to herself, and she would rather not mettle in things that don't concern her. She's an observant person, and she can easily read people, being astute, but that it would be against her personality to take action on something unless someone else brings her into the situation first.

Being astute also allows her to understand many things about the world that most people try to ignore or avoid for as long as they can. Because of this, she's had a melancholic soul since she was young, her intelligence working against her happiness. Her sense of logic keeps her from being hopeful towards things, and her sadness only seems to grow as she gets older and wiser. This isn't something she ever speaks on aloud, but her eyes hold an intense sorrow that many seem to ignore. People only ignore this because of what Shisae exudes more than her desolation: sensuality and haphazardness. Her sensuality is all in the way she carries herself and 'speaks' to people (with looks and actions), though it could refer to her uality as well. She isn't the type to get shy when mature topics are brought up or y outfits or concepts must be done, and she embraces them fully when she must do them. Her being haphazard comes from her being noticeably all over the place. Maybe it's because she doesn't seem to have a set of moral and personal rules for herself, letting the wind blow her in any direction that seems like a good time. Those close to her are often confused because she is logical enough and smart enough to know the difference between right and wrong, but she doesn't have enough faith in the world to care about the consequences either way.

Background

Being born a younger sibling usually turns out very good, very bad, or somewhere inbetween for children, and for Shisae, it turned out very good. Her parents neglected her in favor of her older brother, Heedo, because they were more accepting of a son than a daughter. In return, Shisae avidly hated her parents, only loving her brother her whole life (this still remains the case until she grows close to the others girls because of her lack of friends). This also may have caused her chaotic lifestyle, which can't really be called rebelling as her parents didn't ever or will ever care what Shisae does with her life. She's been used to doing what she wants, and it's something that is stable for her despite the fact that it's very random to everyone else. The only other stable thing in her life was Heedo, who only loved her as well. Their parents were too hard on him, and it caused him to actually rebel, following his sister's footsteps. On her 12th birthday, a family member bought her and her brother matching iPods (along with a bunch of annoying matching sibling outfits that they ignored) stored with a bunch of popular music. Before this, they never really acknowledged music before, and this is when they found their second love. Singing was something they didn't really care for, both being able to hold a note but neither wanting to take it further than that. Instead, they found themselves enjoying the rapping parts of the pop songs and connecting more to the R&B and hip hop style songs rather than the (at the time) more popular bubble gum pop songs that were mainstream. Rapping and copying dances and writing lyrics gave them more of an incentive to ignore everyone else but themselves and music.

At the age of 16 and 15, much to their parents' disdain, both Heedo and Shisae auditioned for LOEN Entertainment and were filtered into the sub-label, GH Entertainment. When the label became an independent label under LOEN, they started putting together a boy group and moved Heedo from the small, general population of trainees to a five-member male group. Shisae sunk deeper into her sadness upon losing her brother to his group mates, who he started to show love for as well, and she stopped speaking completely when Heedo debuted in 2014 with B.I.G, though she was proud of and supported him. Originally, after showcasing her talent at a mid-year trainee showcase in 2015, GH wanted to add Shisae to their unpopular girl group, TINT, as an added member, but she refused to sign the contract, wanting to do more than become just an 'extra' member for a barely known group. So, ignoring everyone (even her brother since he was busy with his group and activities, despite them being an underrated group), Shisae delved completely into training and writing lyrics for herself (as well as partying at night to further ignore the common elements of life), her main goal to debut as a solo rapper and dancer. However, with the growing amount of trainee survival shows taking place, she finally decided it was time to grow herself a fanbase before debut, and she asked her company to send her in to one of these upcoming survival shows, the first of which being \/s.

Training

Company: GH Entertainment.
Backup Company: H2 Media (with the background that she changed companies after her brother's debut to ignore him).
Trainee Years: 4 years.
Trainee Life: The first two years were spent in the 'general population' of trainees, which was only about 15 people, male and female, and she and her brother trained together for the most part. She cared nothing for singing, but everyone was forced to take at least one vocal coaching session a month, which she fulfilled without complaint and did the minimum for. She had rap training with Gaeko of Amoeba Culture (another label under LOEN) and Miryo of Mystic Entertainment (another label under LOEN) and dance training with LOEN choreographers. The second two years were spent training alone, in the hopes of becoming a solo artist eventually, dropping her vocal session and taking on more dancing sessions to enhance her dancing abilities even more. She eventually had to stop her training with Miryo, but she increased her sessions with Gaeko, learning the beginning steps of producing music, so she could not only write her own lyrics but take part in making her own music as well.

Why was she chosen for \/s?: Shisae was chosen for \/s because she wouldn't stop badgering her company about getting onto a survival show, and she auditioned (first to her company's managers then to \/s producers) with her own material: a track that she produced with the large help of Primary (of Amoeba) and Gaeko, her own voice singing the backtrack for the chorus, rapping live for the producers, and dancing with four backup dancers for the chorus and dance break of the song, which was choreographed for her song by her dance trainer to show her skills.
