ivy league, top marks, valedictorian- being the best is the only thing they've ever known. they don't know how to stop themselves from spiraling over the edge- perfection exists, that it is soemthing attained and no matter what they do, they never seem to attain it.

quite possibly one of the most high strung and anxious ones amongst them- stemming form a lack of discontenment (bred by the enviroment in which their parents put them in) the general expectations of them from perhaps the entire world, etc.

odd one out- for the sole reason that their parents don't care and frankly, neither do they. unlike the rest of the family, the level of manipulation forced upon them remains relatvely little, maybe because of the fact that their parents are always off jet-setting to a different continent every day. they may seem to have everything in life and so it poses the question- why are they here? but if you'd look a little bit more closely, you'd see that what they really wanted was love- just like the rest of them.

out of everyone in the family they have, they are perhaps the most laidback and carefree. moodmaker, party person- possibly. and unlike others, they don't experience manipulation so much, but they do crave love immesely. 

every school has one- the charity case, otherwise known as the scholarship kid. what would be a school for the upper crust with essential scholarship kid treated poorly?

but not all scholarship kids have charming, devoted families. their parents know a a thing or two about taking chances and making the best out of it- but at what cause? intense pressure to do well, and to mingle with high class all for the sole purpose of surviving- even if that means going to the end of the world for a chance to sit at the popular table. after all- contacts, are what get you ahead in life. 

lies breed lies. it's the unviersal truth, set in stone since before history.

some called it a coping mechanism- they called it survival instincts. to be thrown into aejung prep is similar to being thrown in the middle of a shark pit- especially when you're a late transferee and everyone's seems to have their own cliques and people are too y and parents are too pushy- and you just shut down, completely. stone cold.

BROWNIE POINTS they have one best friend who knows them completely (bonus points if they have a blooming relationship and you can hear the sound of the ice melting!) + high intelligence characters with IQ isolation would defintely fit this suggestion!

cynic- someone who counts the years until they leave this self proclaimed hellhole. even then, distant from the rest of the group- more of an observer than a talker.

you wouldn't really call them a squad, or a group of friends. then again- you wouldn't even know of their existence. amongst the graduating batch of aejung, there exists the secretive inner circle- where last names and where you rank on "forbes asia top 100 richest list" doesn't matter. it's where the family that these people have been robbed off, go off to find a new one. 

people always say that blood is thicker than water. only- they've been getting it wrong. "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." friendships formed through choice are stronger than friendships formed through blood.

that's a quote the inner circle is fully aware of.

empty shells- these suggestions are merely empty shells waiting to be transformed. ok wait, i'm getting too prose-y now lol. anyways- some of these suggestions might be too cliche, or underdeveloped- but that's why they're suggestions. feel free to use these as a guide or directly as a plotline, but i intended them to used more as a guide. and remember- the inner circle may be a family, but even families have tempermental children or ice cold older sisters.
