Family Background [Umma left us, etc.] :  She was born in California, Los Angeles.  She was an only child and lived with her parents.  They were pretty high classed and Sunye was treated like a princess.  Though, she was spoiled, she was able to control herself and never developed a y attitude.  Her mom never approved of her being an idol.  Sunye's dad was actually the one that supported and helped her.  How did Sunye get to Woollim?  At first, she was planning on trying out for StarShip Entertainment, but she didn't get accepted.  She never gave up, though.  She's the type of girl that would do anything to achieve her goals and to never give up.  A few months after that, Sunye's school was holding a talent show and she was performing in it.  She danced and sang at the same time.  From there, she got scouted.  They had to persuade her mom and eventually she approved.  Sunye moved to Korea and started a new life there.  { Her parents still lives in California }.
