Unexpected
3 missed calls from my mom...
I call her back only for her to walk into my room crying because the man my sister has been with for the past 10 years died right in front of her in their living room.
My sister is 3 years younger than I am and she is experiencing something so unexpected and she's alone to go through this. We live in the middle of the country, my sister is in DC. She has no one with her now. His parents finally made it to the hospital after hours of trying to get ahold of them. My sister has been sitting in a room with her dead boyfriend not knowing what to do next and I feel so helpless because I can't be there for my sister. My parents are flying out this evening to be with her so I'll have my other siblings to take care of until they come back. I wished there was more that I could do than offer consoling calls and texts. I've never had the best relationship with my sister, but she doesn't deserve to go through this alone right now and so soon. He had just proposed to her a couple months ago. I still can't believe this is happening.
If I could just have some positive vibes and thoughts sent her way, I would greatly appreciate it. I know there is stuff going on in everyone's lives but if you could take just 10 seconds for a small prayer or thought it would mean so much to me.
