towards her high school graduation, nothing had interested her college wise. not even a school of music could draw her in - it was too traditional for her liking, and she wanted something different. it was kevin who brought up the idea of the two of them breaking into the south korean hip hop scene. it offered more opportunities for them - and when hi-lite entertainment scouted them out online not soon after graduation, the deal was done. her parents worried, but they supported her endeavors most of all, and soon she and kevin had flown to south korea to start their music careers. they had to work jobs on the side while under hi-lite, still, but it was what they'd been dreaming of their whole lives. slowly but surely, yuri built her career up - she even met dok2, and featured on a song with him, before eventually changing her stage name to vesper and leaving hi-lite for better endeavors. by this time she was known as a popular up and coming artist, with a y and tough image to boot. she featured on a few tracks here and there, before mirae scouted her at a concert and gave her an opportunity to join her company, which yuri gladly accepted.

first meeting – the two first met at one of aomg's parties, as yuri is a close friend of jay's and loco's. it was jay's idea to introduce them to one another; after all, each had seen the other preform, and it seemed only natural to have them become aquainted when they already respected each other as artists. besides that, jay knew of their attraction to each other - the very first time yuri had ever seen sunghwa, she'd made it a point to mention how beautiful she thought he was, and sunghwa, though casual about it, had mentioned that he thought yuri was beautiful. thanks to jay's scheming, he'd managed to get them to start talking during a night of drinking and dancing in one of aomg's favorite clubs.
the two had quickly found a room towards the back that wasn't so painfully loud and there they began to talk, not for a few minutes, but rather for a few hours. they spoke on every subject from music to what exactly had led their careers to this moment, and it was sunghwa who initiated them exchanging numbers. they also wrote a song together that night, one about being in an unrequited love, scribbled hurriedly on the back of a club napkin. they instantly clicked; not only musically, but on a deeper level, finding that they shared many of the same thoughts and aspirations. it was jay who found them hours later, still talking, as the party died down and the bartender was giving the last call. truthfully, what jay had in mind for them hadn't involved so much talking, but that wasn't where they were headed. at least - not yet, that is.
they began to spend more time together, not only in the studio, but outside of it, too. it seemed they were the only ones oblivious of the other's affections as they fell deeper, but they needed to go at their own pace. for now, they continue to spend time together and stay in touch often, especially as sunghwa helps yuri with her new album.
interactions – sunghwa looks out for yuri often. it's nice to have someone show concern for her now after so long on her own, especially after being hurt yet again. they often joke around and always seem to have a great time together, especially at parties. she does a good job at pulling him out of his cool, quiet shell, and getting him to be a little more outgoing, while he gets her to chill out. they tease each other about many things, but it's always lighthearted and sweet. whenever she's upset, it really concerns him. they really do just seem to click, getting along very well, and can have deep conversations with one another. when one has a concern, they usually go to the other for advice or a listening ear.
conclusion – i feel like it would take something happening in yuri's life for sunghwa to realize how he feels about her. maybe killerstar shows up at an event and harasses her, or her father falls ill, and yuri is very upset and sunghwa is there to help her and protect her - but in the process, he realizes his feelings. i would love it if sunghwa was really protective of her when it happened, and that's how they end up together.
