Oliver Jung
"you are an independent mind in this universe that can do anything and everything you have ever dreamed of"
//// Looks aren't everything, but sometimes they are important ////
face claim / Krystal Jung
backup / Wendy Son
Height / 168cm
Weight / 48kg
appearance /
► Olivia has pale skin and soft features. Her hair is a long, reddish-brown shade with a soft texture and slight wave/curl. She wears her makeup rather simply, maybe some eyeliner, mascara, and a light coat of lip color, but nothing too fancy or special. She had very much a model's face- her resting face is rather plain and emotionless, but she does have a sweet smile if you can get it out of her. She has kind, warm eyes with an eyesmile that convey all the emotions that the rest of her face won't give you at first glance. You can see into her soul through those dark eyes of hers. Her ears are simply pierced, one on each lobe, nothing else. No tattoos either. Other than earrings, her jewelry choices are just like the rest of her style: simple. She wears a small diamond necklace that was given as a gift to her from her grandmother when she was young and she never takes it off. She also wears a collection of rings, one of them being her mother's wedding ring (her sister wears her mother's engagement ring. It's just a small piece that she left as a reminder that she's always watching over them). She wears rings mostly becuase her father wouldn't let her wear them when she played, but since she swears she won't touch another piano with a 50 foot pole, she's making up lost ring-wearing time.
fashion sense /
►Her style consists of clothes that are way too big for her with neutral or earthy tones. She gravitates towards, greys, army greens, brown, navy, white, and the occasional or light pink. She values comfort over style, but hey, she works it. The only time she dresses "up" is when she is forced to by someone else, so her "fancy" style is reflected of whoever it is that dressed her. If it was for example her father who dressed her it would be something such as this while her mother would have picked something more feminine. Her dear friend, 001, would probably dress her something more like this or this, and the boo would probably dress her as Leia-y as possible without being obnoxious (as a joke obviously). The only time she gets an honest opionion on how she should dress is from her sister Kris, in which she helps her find actual | flattering | clothing that she doesn't wear all that often, but at least likes.

elaboration /
► Olivia is one of the most responsible people to walk the earth. She has gone her whole life being diligent and nothing will ever strip her of that. She is also quite independent. Being an introvert, she'd rather spend time alone, thus making her quite an independent soul. While she does like the company of a select few people, she often does not ask for help on anything from anyone. She's self sufficiant on her own and if for whatever reason she can't do something on her own, she feels weak and that she's being bothersome. That being said, she is incredibly kind. If you have gained her love, she will put your needs before hers no questions asked. She rarely thinks of herself before others, and it's times like these where you have to remind her that she needs to take care of herself first. Olivia is also incredibly gifted and bright. Piano prodogy (like it or not) AND super intelligent. What kind of an alien wiz kid is she? She's always hopeful that there is a plan for her. Her life has been all over the place but she does believe everything happens for a reason. She has the heart of a child so she's always hopeful that everything will work in the end, even though sometimes it seems like nothing is going her way.
► As we know, she is terribly introverted, but that's not always a bad thing. Introverts gain their energy from being alone and large numbers of people drain it. She loves her alone time, which sometimes makes her seem like a buzzkill or a loner. Some people think that since she is very remote and quiet that she's self-centered, when in reality she's the exact opposite. (think how lots of people viewor used to view I think he kinda escaped that perception a bit Leo from VIXX. If you're familiar with VIXX that is). Despite her hopefulness, she is still closeminded at times. Once she sets her mind on something it's hard for her to change her view on it, such as musicians as people, or how gross dry toast is. idk someone stop me. She is also quite critical for this same aspect. She is critical of both herself and others at times, though she doesn't mean to be. Lastly, she is definitely sensitive and submissive. Like I said above, she puts others needs before her own, so if someone were to boss her around or tell her to do something, she will. No questions asked. Often times speaking out to her is just bothersome so she doesn't ever do it. Then, in turn, all her repressed emotions and feelings have bottled up over the years and although she never shows it to anyone, she is very sensitive, and eventually she's just going to burst.

background / (Narrated by Olivia)
► On May 4th, 1994, a baby girl was born in the city of San Fransisco, California. Oliver Noel Jung: Great granddaughter of famous pianist Christian Hamilton, granddaughter of his famous pianist son Oliver Jung, and finally daughter of HIS famous pianist son Nicholas Jung. But more importantly she was the daughter of Jennifer Jung, loving mother of now two beautiful daughters. I'd share with you the story of how the two met, but long story short- they probably never should have. However, their relationship started out well. They both loved each other, as couples do, settling down in Jennifer's favorite city. She was studying at FIDM in San Fransisco and he took a break from his performing and touring to focus on composing. A few years after they tied the knot, thier first child was born. Christian Iris Jung. I bet you can tell who got a final say on the name. As soon as his not son was born, he insisted on trying for a boy- literally doing all the dumb things the internet tells you to do like have her eat certain foods and stuff, but alas- they had another girl. And I guess that's where I come in.
When my mother insisted since she already had two beautiful girls, she didn't want to have any more children. Honestly dad wasn't too happy with that so he instantly started teaching Kris how to play. Let me just say, even as a 18 month old child- I could tell that she needed to stop playing hot crossed buns and never touch a piano again. He kept trying to teach her to play insisting that she would keep the legacy alive. It wasn't until 3 years later when I climbed up on the piano stool and tried to play one of the songs he had been trying to teach her. It had always looked like fun watching. I mean, dad looked so passionate when he played and Kris and I would always love hearing the music. That's when I made a mistake. Sitting on that stool at age 4 I started poking at the keys. 30 minutes later I thought it sounded about right, and began playing what I had heard him playing the day before. Obviously it wasn't perfect, I mean I was just barely over 3 feet tall and still learning how to write out my alphabet, but it was good enough to make my dad run downstairs when he remembered that Kris had gone grocery shopping with our mom. Let's just say Christian got lucky.
The next year, dad had somehow convinced mom to leave her long-time home of California and move to France. There, they sent Christian away to school while I stayed home and learned piano. There was this nice lady named Suzy who came to our house and taught me everything Kris learned in school, but only after a few hours of maths and french lessions, she was dismissed and I was drilled more on the piano. I was always jealous that Kris actually got to learn in school, not just enough to pass by and then play the devil's music. I mean at the time I still thought the piano was a beautiful thing and was proud of my talent, I just wished I could do more. Every day when my sister came home from school and my mom asked her what she learned that day, I sat in awe listening about all the cool things she found boring. I would have killed for the chance to sit in a classroom. I would beg her to tell me more, and then proceed to ask Suzy if we could learn about obscure topics that my older sister was learning about in school. The more I loved academics, the less I enjoyed piano. An activity that I had once found beautiful now put me in my own personal hell. Because I would have rather been learning how to solve equations. I know, I'm lame, but information is invigorating.
The more I wanted to grow, the more my father would make me play. After all, I was the next legacy. He blamed my "free spirit" on my mother. Said my mind shouldn't be a priority. Openly stated that he wish he had a son. That's when my mother drew the line, and at age 13 we hightailed it to Seoul. Long story short I got to finish schooling in a normal environment. Graduated top in my class. However after I graduated, I didn't know what field I wanted to go into, what I wanted to study, et cetera. Kris was still living at home and helping mom with her business so I decided to help out too until I could figure it out. I really just had a passion for learning but what is a general degree going to do for me in the long run. Even though I wasn't pressured to play piano anymore, I felt the overwhelming need to do something to help my mother. No she wasn't going to force me to study business or fashion to continue her business, but I felt like I owed it to her. I put my education in the back of my mind and helped her out instead. A few years passed and we were sitting on either side of her hospital bed. Christian bawling her eyes out as I silently cried.

A little over a year later, here I am. Staring at an email I recieved from my father, expressing condolences and apologies, asking for me to come back to Paris and learn the art the right way versus the selfish way he was teaching me. Kris, on the other hand, convincing me to leave Seoul and follow my dreams, whatever those might be. I thought about just giving up, going back to Paris and at least making something of myself that others could be proud of, but as I stood in the airport in front of my gate, I heard an anouncement. "Final boarding call for Melbourne, Australia, final boarding." I turned around looking at the gate behind me, I don't know what came over me but it was final boarding. My last chance. I ran to the counter, shoving my ticket in the lady's face, asking if there were any available seats on the flight and if there was any way I could trade in my ticket. The event is all still a blur, but somehow 13 hours later, I stepped foot in Australia.
relationships /
► Father / Nicholas Jung / Piano prodogy. He is a famous concert pianist in Paris, France. The talent continues generation after generation, and he is the last one want to stop it. He believes that the Jung legacy must live on forever. When Olivia was the 'gifted' one of the two sisters, he essentially shoved piano down . As soon as Olivia was old enough to start education, he moved the family out to France to "culture" her, and have her practive music there. While her sister was sent to school during the day, Olivia was homeschooled so that she could spend as much time practicing piano as possible, in hopes of her acceptance to Conservatoire de Paris to finalize her legacy. He hired an in home teacher/tutor just for this purpose. It wasn't until the pressure on Olivia got out of hand that he and Jennifer filed a divorce. She then packed her bags and took her two daugheters to live with her in Seoul.
► Mother / Jenn (Jennifer) Choi / High end fashion designer based in Seoul. She is the kindest person to ever exist and wants the best for her family. Separating from her husband was the greatest decision of her life. She was able to quit her day job of being a stay at home seemstress and tailor and move to Seoul and start a real business for herself. She definitely did not become an overnight sensation, and she's not a household name, but she did work heavily off of commissions and design for a lot of well known people. She was having some health problems so they knew it was probably coming eventually... She passed away about a year and a half ago.

► Older Sister and Best Friend / Krista (Christian) Jung / Krista was able to comfort her sister when she got bullied when she was little for having a "boy's name" becuase she went through it too, also given a family name that doesn't doesn't quite make sense. Olivia calls her Kris, and Krista calls her Liv. They are the best friend kind of sisters. They tell each other everthing, have late night discussions, know every little detail about each other, and all that jazz. They got especially close after their mother's passing. It's honestly pretty hard living in Melbourne without her sis by her side, but she knows that she's always just a phone call away. She is super sweet but also tells it like she sees it. She's very playful and is quite an extrovert.
► Friend and Housemate / 001 / This is the character selected for the 001 plotline. I figure these two would have an interesting dynamic together being pretty opposite personalities, but I bet they'd have at least one thing in common. They became friends because (lets just say idk that the plot numbers are also their "room number" in the house. Like as if when they signed a lease together for the house the rooms were numbered. idk probs not but just go with it for the time being) their rooms ended up next to each other. 001 made it his/her priority to introduce his/herself right off the bat and make sure that they became friends. No use living next to someone you hate, right? Turns out that opposites attract and although thier personalities clash, they did end up liking each other.
► Friend and Housemate / Min Eunhye / She's the reason she found the house in the first place. Olivia got on a plane to Melbourne in the airport not having a clue where she was going to live. She figured she would stay at a hotel or something for the first night and spend the entire day there researching apartments. In her search she figured an apartment of her own would be expensive, and saying she had just booked an impromptu fight and hotel she didn't have much to go off of. She began looking for people in need of roommates versus looking for a place to live and came across Eunhye. She emailed her, thinking she didn't have anything to lose, and the next day she was signing a lease. If it weren't for Eunhye she'd be living on the streets so she's pretty thankful she came across her. She's also really sweet and playful and reminds her of her sister in a way.

► Coffee / None of that overly sweet stuff though. She can't drink it black but she can't add more than 1/2-1 pack of sugar.
► Harry Potter / She would secretly read them at night since she had very little free time outside of schoolwork and piano practice. She's a Ravenclaw. Her sister is a Hufflepuff. Oliver (as in the dude down below) is definitely a Slytherin.
► AUs / She's not really a writer, but she will sometimes just look up AUs on Tumblr and other forums (especially the soulmate ones). She thinks that they fuel the mind and creativity.
► Le Petit Prince / Her (French) grandmother read her the story when she moved to France. Since then it's become her favorite story since childhood and holds it close to her heart. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.

► Simplicity / it's as simple as that.
► Knowledge / becuase knowledge is power
► Comfort / soft, loose clothes, a warm towel after getting out of the bath, wrapping up in a plush blanket right before going to sleep, and finding comfort in others: all good examples tbh
► Being in control of her own life / becuase I wanted it to get deep at the end

► Mornings / thus she likes coffee.
► Playing the piano / she also wants to vomit everytime she hears one of her fathers songs. Like if she's in a tranquil environment where they're playing some classical music and one of them comes on she will get up and leave no questions asked.
► Bugs / any bugs. Like butterflies give her chills.
► Lipstick / it's too flashy for her. Even the neutral tones. She'll just stick to chap stick.
► Crying / she never cries. She hates the feeling of crying, she's only cried once in her life other than when she was a baby- when her mother passed away. (but as she's gotten older and met more people, she's seen herself become more emotional and she honestly hates it)
► Spicy foods / she's all for flavor, but if something's too hot it just ruins a dish for her.
► Being out of control. Period.
► Periods / seriously why do they exist. If she wanted to be bleeding and in pain every month she might as well just stab herself in the stomach.
Habits / ► "being a stick in the mud" / courtesy of her dear friend 001
► Cleaning / she's not one to clean up other's messes, but she will clean and organize every surface of her stuff when she's stressed.
► Playing with her rings / this is a huge one. SHE ALWAYS PLAYS WITH THE RINGS ON HER FINGERS. Touching them, twisting them, taking them on and off. All. The. Time. ESPECIALLY if she's nervous or doesn't know what to do or say.
► Being blunt / she's really kind and rarely speaks out against anything, but sometimes she says what she's thinking without realizing she's talking and it comes out super rude and then she feels bad for like the entire day

► The desire to play / I know, I know she doesn't want to touch a piano or get within 100 meters of one, but whenever she does see one, occasionally she feels the longing to go and play it. She never will because she doesn't want to ever go back to how it was. (but she doesn't realize that she hopes in the future she will muster up the courage to play again)
► Getting nervous around boys / boys make her anxious. She's never had a boyfriend nor really cared to have one. They've just never really been a priority for her. Like she would be able to live her life happy with or without a man. HOWEVER- if she does find a boy mildly attractive in any way then she has a little bit of anxiety trapped inside her.

► Learning new things / literally in her free time she will learn theories or concepts that she didn't already know. what a nerd.

► Watching movies / she's more of a movie person than a TV person. Netflix is her best friend.Oliver get ready to chill.
► Hanging out with her friends / but only like 1-2 friends at a time, normally Oliver or 001. Because more than that would be considered socializing and she's not about that life. Or catching up with her sister even though she's not physically there. Skyping is nice.

► Since her birthday is on May 4th, she's always been given the cheese of "May the 4th be with you on your birthday!"
► In all honesty she has a decent amount of knowledge on Star Wars but has never seen any of them (until meeting the Oliver, the dork below)
► Her room is the cleanest in the house.
► The colors in her room are almost strictly white, with small neutral color accents. All her bedding and furniture is white, with the occasional wood finish and photos around her room. She also has some fairy lights strung around her headboard.
► She has a plush fox like the one from Le Petit Prince that she's had since childhood. Her mother stitched it up when she wouldn't stop talking about the story as a girl and gave it to her. She proudly puts him on her bed amongst all her white pillows and blankets.
► She has a pretty okay singing voice. She practically never sings. Ever. But with her knowledge of music and pitches and stuff she can carry a tune. Even then, her favorite song to sing is "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins.

Christian found both of the dresses after her mother died and didn't tell Olivia becuase she thought it would be a nice surprise when she did get engaged for her to be able to wear her mother's dress on her wedding day.

Reason for move / I explained this above but I'll sumarize it again. A year and a half after her mother passed away, she was going to move back to France to live with her father and take up paino again. UNTIL she decided screw that I'm going to Melbourne because the plane is leaving and I feel like it's a sign. So she ended up in Austrailia. And she decided when she was there she was going to live her life how she wanted to live it. New country, new me.
OCCUPATION(S) / every character needs a job. If your character studies, put that here too and be sure to include what they study.

► See a koala, because what else would you do in australia that you can't do in France or Seoul?!
► Feel at home. She's moved around so much and experienced so many different places that she's called home. She wants her new home to truely be her home. She'd love to finally know what that's like.
► Take a day to be a tourist and just go exploring (probs with Oliver because he's nice and a dork so he'd totally do that with her. Knowing him he'd go all out too and bring like cameras and bucket hats with sunglasses and hawaiian shirts and stuff to be obnoxious)

final words / OKAY I THINK IT'S ALL DONE! Sorry for all the trouble! It's finally done! I've been way too busy these past few weeks I swear. At least I got an A in my Geology class and am all packed for school! Thank you SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much for the extention I loved this app and I love these characters way too much. Please let me know if I accidentally missed something! Also I got really passionate writing certain parts of this if you couldn't tell. Thus these apps take me freaking forever... Sorry. Also I honestly feel so attacked right now because James used to be my bias in Royal Pirates, but now Moon's just so freaking cute and GGGGRRRRR.
