pokemon go is actually boring when you can't be bothered to go outside

There's a lot of hype for this game, and I swear every one I know with an iOS device has it. I've been excited for it, but it's been a few weeks since I downloaded the game, but I think I may have expected too much from it. I just found it boring. The good things I guess is that while I was in the neighbourhood with my brother, we met people who were also playing the game, and I love how pokemon go is encouraging kids to go outside and meet new people. But my nearest pokestop is so far that my parents won't let me go there.

But after going outside for a few days and catching a few pokemon, I didn't feel the same as a lot of people did when they played? At least compared to the nintendo pokemon games, pokemon go isn't that fun for me. I don't know if it's because I live in a small town or something, but all the pokemon in my area are so basic. I have these kids getting excited and arguing over a weedle and a rattata. The only pokemon I was excited over for was meowth, but he was in someone else's house, and I wasn't going to just knock on the door saying "excuse me sir/miss, but there is a meowth in your backgarden and I want it." :'^) But for the times when I go out, all I keep coming across are weedles, pidgeys, pidgeottes, zubats etc. Battles aren't that exciting either. To be honest, I think I just live somewhere boring which is why the pokemon are so boring. The sea is like five hours away, so any water pokemon is zilch, which . I think I'll just stick to the other pokemon games, but I'm all for it for people being encouraged to spend time outside.

But one more thing, if you are playing pokemon go, please be careful because I've seen so many kids crossing the road while looking at their phone screen. And try not to get lost either.
