— there is a reason why dabin and dain look so alike, it's because they are identical twins. many people have a hard time telling them apart because they look exactly like each other. it's like kwangmin and youngmin but instead there are no obvious differences for they are an exact replica. unlike most koreans who have fairly pale skin, dabin and dain have failry golden skin which is a golden glow that gives them a healthy look. they aren't necessarily darked skin like hyorin or kai but you can tell they aren't pale. dabin has double eyelids that are prominent that came with her naturally. they accentuate her foreign light caramel coloured eyes that seem to be pretty big and get's bigger slightly bigger with circle lenses. her hair is currently a dyed light brown with her hair being up to the end up her . her hair is naturally thick, straight, and dark brown but the company is made her dye her hair along with giving her a beach wave hair do when dain followed suit and also dyed her hair the same colour. adding on to hair, her eyebrows are also a light brown to match her hair which is a pain in the since she her roots on both her head and brows are growing back. regarding her brows, they are in the natural shape that koreans strive along with being naturally thick with the rare trim to make sure they maintain their shape (if that makes sense). her lips are plump, thick, and soft as they retain a pink hue to them. she has a sharp jawline and high cheekbones with slight baby fat still stuck to them. to add to their looks, they both have a scarlett johansson nose, thin yet sharp noses. of course, dain also looks like this which makes it to tell the difference. heck, they are even the same height and weight along with making sure they do their make-ups the same way to ensure that no one can really tell them apart. going to length, the only difference is the location of their birthmarks which is covered by make-up so no knows of this. dabin's is located in the back of her right shoulder while dain's is located between the crevice between her . from there, they are both equally thick regarding their lower body and feminine / petite regarding their upper half. they have slim fingers, slim yet muscular and thick legs, and well just a slim figure in general. both dain and dabin are naturally pretty which is evident. ironically, you can say they are both are equally pretty since they are literally copy and paste with no mistake except for the placement of their birthmarks.

— thanks to kalon, both sisters were models prior to debut but what they modeled help shape their fashion tastes. unlike her younger sister, dabin has a more cut edge, clean, sharp, cool and chic fashion. this doesn't mean she doesn't wear casual clothing but rather likes clothing that is edgy or really daring. she likes things that look good on her along with clothing that helps build her confidence. in some ways, many would say that her style fits that of her position seeing how they are grungy - hipster like. one would say something that would come off tumblr due to the fact that it looks really good and clean on her despite the aura of vintage and retro to it. in contrast to her sisters's, you could say that dabin's is more boyish and casual than dain's fashion style. to be honest, with dain, dabin would be a fashion queen since she can slay anything even if it's not her style preference. but at the end of the day she really doesn't care since a majority of her clothing is identical or the couple part to dain's clothing. when she is twinning, they wear all types of clothing for the clothing really didn't matter except for the fact that it helped keep them as one and confused the public as to who is who. the irony is that they share a closet so they tend to wear each other's clothes and it doesnt matter since they are the same size. however, there is a special section for the twins in their closet that is their specific fashion clothes they like and treasure.

• outgoing - when she is with dain, dabin is naturally outgoing that it seems as if she is naturally like that too when she isn't around her sister. she is always in the center of attention regardless if it's bad or good. attention is on her but she can't help it since her actions / personality is full of charms that catch the eyes of others. on top of that, with the ease that two have with making friends, it's no surprise that they become popular / well known. it could also be that identical twins aren't common. she is a natural born chatter box so she is considered the mood maker or is the one to always talk first which comes in handy. also, she isn't one to shy away from new situations as she is willing to tackle it unless it's too hard or something bad. mainly she is willing to do it as long as dain is with her / got her back which is a majority of the time. to add on to her spunky self, dabin isn't afraid to be noticed and is very vocal / always speaking up if she doesn't agree on something. naturally, not many people see her outgoing personality as a bad thing most of the time but it is a bad thing. her outgoingness can also be considered cocky in which she tends to not know when to shut up, making her hard time work with especially when she is not with her twin. on top of that, a majority of their friendship are not close bonds except a very few people that the two have personally / mutually allowed into their little world. part of it is because they have too many friends but never have time to make a deep bond and part of it is because they don't really know them well, like them enough, or trust them to actually call them true friends. another thing is, her outgoing personality goes hand to hand with her troublemaking instincts. there is never a dull moment but that's the problem. there is no silence, only noise which makes it hard to focus or even relax at times. of course, dabin is more on the extreme side of crazy rather than dain in terms of their outgoing personalities which is why she tends to clash with people more than dain. it doesn't help that she will vocally voice her opinions with no filter but that trait will be later explained. in conclusion, dabin is a fun, outgoing, charismatic troublemaker who has a lot of people loving her and a few hating her.

• humorous - going off her troublemaking side, dabin is humorous and loves jokes, pranks, and anything that she finds funny / will garner laughter from others. it makes her seem kind and nice in a way since she is always the once to make others laugh even though they may be stressed out or having a hard time. it's nice sometimes too to have everyone included and not secluding someone. in a sense, her humorous personality gives off a friendly vibe to show that she actually isn't really that scary. but sometimes her humor may get out of hand from time to time. obviously dain and dabin don't have the same humor but for the sake of being one, the two pulls pranks and insult / make fun of others in good manners. unlike dain who knows when to stop, dabin will continue on to the point that it actually hurts or frustrates someone. humour is good in light of you are a good person to have fun with since there will never be a dull moment with you. however, dabin's jokes don't know when enough is enough as sometimes her humor can be crude. thankfully people have brushed it off, dain fixed the situation before it got out of hand, or dabin apologized for her actions but at the rate dabin is going, she will need to tone it down. she may sometimes joke add jokes in a wrong situation, reuse a joke way too many times, make fun of someone and hurting their feelings, stepping the line by going too personal, and injuring someone (only small injuries like small bruises). that's why many people love her since she is funny but can get restless when she doesn't stop or learn that respect is also needed.

• hot headed - now a majority of the traits that dabin has is also that of dain. yes, they are actually different when alone and they actually show you their true self. however, they mainly do act like each other in terms of personality (if that makes any sense at all since im bad at explaining). dabin's hotheaded personality is actually a trait that dabin and dain do not share at all. surprising? not really from what we read so far, dabin is more on the outgoing yet sensitive side while dain is more on the outgoing but shy and also calm. moving on, dabin has a short temper and can get mad / upset real quick. as i mentioned before, she is hard to work with along with getting along with at times or for people who aren't use to her / don't like her at all it would probably be in general. her temper is one to be scared of in the moment but to be forgotten when done. she get's mad easily when things don't go as planned or someone does something she does not like. her hotheaded has lead her to say some rude words along with lash out to the person she is upset at which has caused hurt. with this jyp stated that she needed to control it or he will personally remove her from it. but who could blame her since she was a teen going through puberty at the time. despite that, dabin tries to curb it. in some ways she is like jaebum regarding her temper. it's getting better but she still gets pissed off pretty easily. the good side to this is she doesn't bottle up anything so she doesn't really have any emotional stress. also, she is willing to ask for forgiveness to those she has hurt with her anger as she knows that even she has flaws. other than that, she normally tries to curb it which is a 50 / 50 seeing how it works from time to time but she loses it from time to time.

• stubborn - she doesn't admit that she is stubborn most of the time but knows that she is stubborn. it's ironic but that's beside the point here. in some ways, it due to the fact that she is slightly arrogant seeing how she refuses to get any help only she realizes that she needs it or someone forces their help on her. in fact, if she doesn't agree with it / like, she refuses to listen / do it. this has caused her to clash with others even adults. because of this, she sometimes misses out on opportunities that could have came her way if she listened or just had done what they said should be done. another problem is that since dabin tends to turn away any help, many people don't give it to her again or feel like ever giving her advice since she refuses all the time. thankfully there are a few people in live who care about her genuinely and always help her despite her initial refusals. this lead to another problem to which dabin isn't really able to learn or advance sometimes because of this. in general, it doesn't really affect her skills or training but it does tend to affect the respect along with the relationships she builds around her. many people look up to dabin and even though she isn't perfect she should try to fix her bad habits. she doesn't really care and is naturally stubborn if she doesn't agree or like the statement. because of this, it has led to petty fights and lost of credible respect towards her. on the other hand, her stubbornness is good as she doesn't know when to back done and will fight for what she believes is right. this not only goes for believes, views, and others but also her dreams and goals. on top of that, she isn't easily swayed by the harsh world and it's poison which is good because she is rooted. in general though, dabin isn't stubborn only when she doesn't like the idea at all. she is a reasonable person who will try to comprise unless she thinks her ideas are absolutely better along with not liking anything at all.

• childish - dabin is childish in comparison to your average doe. she is the center of her own universe (of course with dain, duh), is insensitive to others, get upset when things do not go her way (this one is no longer a problem as she has outgrown that), irresponsible, unreasonable, and only obeys concrete authority (also no longer really does this since jyp and dain taught her to be respectful). the problem is that dabin never had a role model growing up because the world she grew up and saw was harsh and painful. she only had dain, who looked up to her. there was a lot of pressure and without any proper scolding and guidance in her life, dabin hasn't been able to mature. some of it could be that it is her personality along with how she is mentally thinking. dabin tends to be self-centered which results in her wanting things to be done in her way. it's caused some tension regarding music and ideas / plans for the groups future. with dain's help, she is learning to realize that not everything can go her way and is learning to be more open and accepting. adding on to that, she really doesn't care about the others around her. you can't really blame her since she only has a small amount she trust and may be the only people she will ever trust. it doesn't help that she has a hard time making genuine friends which is why she is insensitive. not only to her feelings but to others around her (sometimes even to the people she cares about). the throwing a fit and being respectful to certain authoritative figures was something she struggled with as a trainee. with caring trainers and jyp guidance, she outgrew that and is now more mature in those aspects. however, that doesn't mean that she is completely mature. that is dain, not dabin. dabin is still childish and still learning to grow into maturity. this childish personality isn't all that bad as in some ways makes her seem innocent which can be charming and useful at times.

• selfish - the cons of being selfish human being are you would not be liked by most of the people, there would be not much friends of you, you will feel like being alone mostly in your life. most of the people will misinterpret your introversion as your arrogant. the pros of being selfish person are there would be less drama in your life, you will not feel much mental pain, when you start behaving like you just don’t care anymore about anyone, you will always remain away from worthless gossip going on around you, people will tend to be more attracted towards you when they come to know that you don’t care about anyone. this is the exact case for dabin, who is a selfish person. of course this should be obvious as she tends to keep her friends to herself and not like to share them even though she knows that they have every right to choose what they do and who they befriend. she tends to be selfish since she fears that everything that she knows or has will be gone and no longer there like a dream. even though it's not good to be selfish most of the time, you can't really blame dabin. her selfishness also isn't the typical all eyes on me. it more of a selfishness as i want my sister all to myself along with my friends and parents. she wants to the love and friendship and doesn't want that taken away from her. hopefully it makes sense to you.

• distant - despite being close with a few people and etc. dabin is actually quite distant. she she seems to be there but at the same time isn't. deep down, dabin is bitter at the world along with scared to show her true self and let herself go. she has seen the evils of this world so the only thing she can do is keep dain by her side and be distant from others. as a result, the two are usually always seen with each other and you will never hear them talk to anyone a lot or mention anything about their problems, views, opinions, or anything that has to deal with themselves. this is why they are emotionally detached to others resulting in the fact that they don't care of others and aren't afraid to drop them if they get bored or have no interest. this is a good trait since the two are very closed off and don't let others in which means less hurt. the downfall to this is that their world only consist of her and dain and no else. it's too small and people change so without those nets, if something ever happened between her and dain, dabin would take a hard fall. it's hard to explain but think of it as a cat. you don't choose them, they choose you. even when they do, it's like you are a mere toy and they don't see you as anything because they are lost in their own world and won't let them get near you. when you do, they either retaliate or runaway. in this case, it's a game that was already set up for others to lose since the two don't want to get close with the world.

• blunt - dain is the nicer twin and knows how to sugar coat her words along with being careful of what she says. dabin is the exact opposite as she will say whatever comes to her mind and be very straightforward with it. being brutally honest, dabin isn’t as sensitive as others and offending them can be easier than you think. what's is that she might not be trying to be mean, but her honesty is coming off as harsh and rude. that's why people tend to that she does not have feelings. people often go to her with their problems and ask for advice despite her unfiltered thoughts and tongue. it also helps her regarding friendship and work since she is known for doing her job right, leading to a lot of success. even though she may be hard to work with, she gets the job done. there’s no hesitation, the job gets done quickly and done right. that doesn't mean that she is absolutely great and all. as stated, her honesty has tend to come off as harsh and rude which doesn't sit to well. on top of that, she doesn't lie even in her compliments that can cause a lot of hurt feelings. but she means in good manner and doesn't do it for the spite of the person. she is the type of person who doesn't see the point of dragging something that can be done quick which honesty is. again, jyp has threatened that if she doesn't hold back her tongue from time to time from saying something brutally honest, she may be pulled of the team.

bAckground

• only two minutes apart, the twins were inseparable. when they were young there mom told them that when dabin was born, she was clutching onto dain's hand. of course the twins really don't believe that but the believed that the were attached to each other since the womb years. it wouldn't be a surprise if that was true as the two were almost together and united in everything. they had each other growing up, due to their wealth being on the lower half of middle class families it meant that their parents had to work almost everyday resulting in the lack of family activities and memories. they were identical twins in every aspect and the only way that their parents and others were able to tell them apart was the different clothing that they would be made to wear when they were younger. they two didn't mind being unable to be identified by their parents or the people around them because they were twins and they looked and acted similar in many aspects. in fact, it made them grow even closer to the point that one would think that they were lost in their own world and others around them were merely toys (which is true).

• as children growing up, the two mainly kept to themselves and only friended themselves. they never really allowed others to come play with them until dabin (around the age of four/ five) decided to create the game of guess the twin. this was because everyone wanted to play with them and when they did, they would always call them by the wrong name which irked them. it didn't help that their own parents did it too which caused even more hurt since it seemed that people didn't care enough for them to take the time and see the difference along with realizing that they are different and unique and not the same person. because of this, the two started to become a lot more mischievous since their love of pranks, games, trouble, and just anything with causing havoc became a hobby. despite their tendency for mischief, the two were able to stay out of trouble along with maintaining good grades earning them to be in the top 5 in all of their school years. many people suspected they cheated or were bribing the teachers to give them good grades. the sad truth is the jokes/mischief is just for the sake of being liked, garnering attention, and 'making friends'. in reality, they don't care and would rather be quiet and go on with life but there is no fun in that. on top of that, they don't want to burden their parents any further as they know that the reason why they are struggling is because they weren't prepared for a child and when it turned out to be twins, their life took a toll. through out life, the two were close as sisters and shared many struggles, happiness, sadness, and everything in between. it was tiring and lonely for the two girls, they were the only two that could identify themselves from one another and everyone else expected the two to act nearly identical.

• when they hit middle school, almost everyone was dating. the two never found interest but with their looks, it was no surprise that they had many guys had crushes on the twins. in their second year, the twins ended up liking a guy together, even though he couldn't tell them apart. when they were to confess to him, they overheard him talking to a friend and jokingly said to a friend that he should just date both of them at the same time to avoid the confusion. it cut them deeply which cause a crisis for the two. no one will or every try to realize / recognize the two are very different which is pretty obvious. as a result the two lashed out and decided that if the everyone was going to be like this, might as well give it to them. for the rest of middle school years, the two would come to school acting as identical twins were normally thought as, same clothes, same hair and nearly identical actions and speech styles. no one could tell who was who and were confused as to why they were like this by the way that the two were acting. but the twins were sick of the way that they would be mistaken even when they were trying to be different. the twins in a way become more cold and numb to others and were only secluded to themselves.

• this was evident in high school when they stopped pulling off pranks and were quiet, talking to no one expect to each other. as life continued so did the habit the two develop of breaking the hearts of boys that showed interest in them and asked them on dates. if a guy showed interest in dain, when asked to go on a date, dabin would go instead without any notice from the boy and the opposite would happen if dabin was asked instead. by the second date, Dain would go and "confess" to the boy that she actually wasn't dain but instead was the other twin. she would proceed to telling the boy that her sister showed no interest in him but rather she liked him instead, after the confession she would ask the boy if he would date her instead. to which the guys almost always replied with a 'yes' at this point, dain would call her twin on her phone and proceed to saying "did you hear that? he said he'll date you" before getting up and leaving the guy stunned at the trick and insult.

• the two slowly opened up again and continued to do thing throughout their high school years as well as pulling simple pranks on teachers and supposed friends alike. to the two girls, they were the only two who truly understood one another and because of this, they shut out anyone else who tried to become buddy buddy with them because others couldn't even get past the differences of their appearances. during one of the dating games, dabin got scouted by a representative of kalon entertainment for modeling. getting home, she showed it to dain who was interested in trying out, but with a twist. make the company think it's only one girl that would be attempting to be a trainee instead of two.
