BACKGROUND : tzuyu is the daughter of a rich family. she was born in Taiwan and they migrated to Korea when she was 5 years old.
she grew up as an only child. because of that, she has a very lonely childhood, with only the dolls and the maids as her playmates. as a child, her parents
started enrolling her to different classes; piano, violin, dance, voice, ballet, advanced maths, science, etc. she has a hard time making friends for she is very shy.
she also grew up bearing the surname "chou" which means she was taught to always be elegant just like her parents. growing up with that perspective,
she thinks she has to please everyone. she's very conscious of what others think of her. she thinks of the possible consequences
before doing or saying something. to her, everyone's perspective of her matters a lot because if she can't please everyone then
she doesn't deserve to be called a "chou". she's also a model for her mother's clothing line.

dahyun is her childhood friend, the daughter of her parents' business partner. dahyun, unlike tzuyu,
is very expressive and doesn't mind what other people think of her. tzuyu envies dahyun for that
personality. nevertheless, they like dancing together and singing songs off-tune.
Minatozaki sana - bestfriends
sana is someone tzuyu and dahyun met in 3rd grade. as a japanese transferee, sana had no friends
and because tzuyu knew the feeling of having no friends, she befriended her. together, the three of them became
the trio everyone envies. tzuyu and sana likes to visit dance studios and practice their dancing.
park mina - friend
tzuyu and mina were groupmates in a project once. when they found out that they both love dancing,
they hit it off quickly. tzuyu looks to mina f0r advices and help whenever she has problems or
just wants someone to talk about dancing and life in general.
jeon jungkook - friend
jungkook is someone tzuyu can relate to. they both like to hide their real selves in favor of impressing
people. they also bonded over their love for dancing. jungkook and tzuyu help each other to
realize that being perfect doesn't mean anything, it just makes a lot of people jealous of you and contributes
to having people who hates you.

jimin points out that tzuyu is a fake and always picks a fight with her. tzuyu ignores her but every taunt actually
hurts her. jimin is the daughter of her parents' rival company but she isn't afraid to show who she really is.
jimin is the one who makes tzuyu realize that why does she need to pretend when her friends and boyfriend
would accept her for who she is even without being perfect?

to be proud of her. she slowly comes out of her shell and shows who she really is. she won't be afraid of what others say about her body
or her looks or her skills or her brains. she's slowly loving herself, perfect or not.
CONCLUSION : she won't care what the others say about her anymore. she comes to the conclusion that
she simply cannot impress everybody because some people will always find faults in her, but what matters is what she
thinks of herself. and when she admits that, she happily graduates high school and attends university with her boyfriend.

play the piano as she sings. he becomes enchanted by her voice and decided to enter the practice room she is
in. they stared at each other for a few seconds before tzuyu became embarrassed and tried to leave the room
but mingyu doesn't want to let her go so he asked for her number. at the end of classes, he asked her out to have coffee
and they started getting to know each other from then on.
RELATIONSHIP : they are a sweet couple. they like doing things for each other on special occassions. they are also very honest
and trust each other very much. they know each other's insecurities but they accept and love each other for who they are. mingyu's protective
of tzuyu and doesn't like to see her sad. tzuyu's clingy to mingyu and gets jealous easily so mingyu stays away from girls and is very loyal to
tzuyu.
STATUS : dating
HOW HE FINDS OUT: When mingyu finds out, it was a turning point of their relationship. they had their first big fight where
tzuyu locked herself in her room for a week because she thought mingyu was disappointed in her. she thought he would leave
her and find someone else who doesn't have a time limit. mingyu tries to talk to her but she refuses and mingyu explodes,
storming to her room to have a descent talk with her. at first, she is reluctant but she finally hears him out. mingyu tells her that
he is not disappointed and wants to help her realize that it's okay to not be perfect, because he loves her just the way she is. TZUYU CRIES
AND THEY MADE UP, BECOMING EVEN MORE CLOSER AND OPEN TO EACH OTHER.
ENDING : mingyu proposes to tzuyu on their last year in university. with dahyun, sana, and jungkook's help, the proposal became successful
with tzuyu saying yes and crying tears of joy. they live happily and still very much in love with each other. they adopt two pet dogs because
tzuyu likes them and they go to work together where tzuyu is a dance teacher and mingyu is a producer at a famous company under the chou's.

always perfect. when tzuyu pulled away, mingyu realizes it's now or never and confesses to tzuyu. she accepts him and they started dating.
