Waiting for I LOVE YOU to return

When we started, those 3 words I loved hearing from you, I love you.

Before we end a phone call I loved hearing you say those words, I LOVE you.

As we wake up in the morning and before we go to sleep at night I loved hearing you say those words, I LOVE YOU.

Time changes everyone I guess because you say it less until there were no more of those 3 words I loved hearing from you.

Little did you know every night when you sleep I whisper those 3 words I loved hearing from you, i love you.

I wait for those words to return to me, AND "I LOVE YOU" TOO.

RETURN TO ME THE I LOVE YOU I'VE LONGED TO HEAR YOU SAY.
