once mirae graduated from high school, she moved back to seoul and continued living by herself in an apartment in shinchon. mirae began attending yonsei university in the music department, majoring in music composition. her grades were above average. she has learnt a lot and improved her skills in composing and producing. at this time, she also met ryu sungmin or cjamm through her best friend sooyeon who is a dj. he found mirae interesting so he asked her out. they dated 8 months before breaking up because their schedules never matched and it became harder to see each other. they broke up on good terms and remain good friends to this day.
when mirae was 22, a video of her performing in hongdae went viral. somehow, her singing atlantis princess from boa became popular, yoon mirae saw the video and looked her up to ask her if she was interested in joining divine records. at the same time, she had offers from a few other companies like pledis and jyp but mirae, being a fan of yoon mirae and tiger jk, decided to go ahead and sign with yoon mirae's record label. jay park also played a part in her signing a deal with the record label, encouraging her to show her talents to the world. her dad was incredibly supportive of her as well. it was a choice she would come to love and never regret.
