How do I get my inspiration back?

Basically, I've been prowling in aff for a while because my classes have ended for junior year in college. However, I'm quite stuck staring at an empty word document for a few days now. Yeah I can still write random things, but the spark isn't there anymore.

So the big question is: How can I get my inspiration back?

Should I do another 30-day challenge where I have to write a minimum of 500 words a day, or should I let this 'blank' stage pass?

If I do the latter, I might end up not updating Shifted this summer, and that's my goal. Seriously, that fic is killing me because I shouldn't even be worrying about it!!!

It gets really frustrating sometimes, and Shifted is not my only problem. I've tried reading more stuff and watching good movies, but I'm still stuck.

What should I do?

[just rambling as usual ._.]

I'm in the same place--or similar. I just haven't been able to write. I haven't been watching kdramas for about the same amount of time, also. I guess my entire life has changed. It's so weird.
I hope you get back to writing, or at least find something else you enjoy. =)

I've been having the same issue. I went four+ months without writing anything because I just... couldn't. my best advice to you is don't force it. if you force yourself to write, you're most likely not going to be happy about the result in the end.

Just poop out the words. Even if what your writing feels stupid and like no one would read it, just write whatever is on your mind, even if the idea seems dumb. Then just keep poop writing until you start writing something that you actually kinda like. Being blocked but you just have to keep pushing and pushing.

I've been there before and it totally when you're stuck in a perpetual state of writer's block. I suggest you chill for a while, drink a nice coffee/tea, read a good book or watch a BL movie or listen to piano instrumentals, and be hella inspired. I'm pretty sure you have a lot of ideas in mind, too. Try to share it with a friend who's fond of fanfics. It helps! Don't rush, though. It takes time to get the muse back. I hope everything goes well for you because trust me it's a battle.

You should just take it easy. Writtng is a creative process so it takes time. You shouldnt force it too much. Try listening to some songs, read the lyrics get yourself in good embience or mood then slowly eventually inspiration will come to you. You just need to make sure that your mind is calm :) All the best

you are most welcome.
lmao honestly, if you really need inspiration, binge on gay films, ty angst films for teenagers, and go through the pretentious aesthetics of tumblr.
