Ugh...Summer.

TOTAL RANT COMING YOU REALLY DON'T HAVE TO READ IT

But it might explain why my updates are coming so slowly (I'm sorry Neo readers of How the Stars Came to Be I promise I'm trying)

There's nothing that I want to do more than write my stories until my fingers start to fall off from hitting the keyboard so much throughout the day. I miss the feeling of getting lost in your own story, telling it for the first time as you think it up and immersing yourself in the world and the roles, letting it flow through you easily.

I'm sure many writers are similar in this fact but--I need to be comfortable to be able to let those ideas flow. And now that summer is here and the weather is 30C+ (90F+) I literally...can't. It's too hot. (and I don't have AC eAe)

And so I'm saddened because I'm roasting in my bedroom waisting time distracting myself with video games, and waiting for the blessed cold of night to come. Honestly I just want to sleep all day until the heat goes away and then wake up at night when it's cooler but obviously I need to be a functioning adult who's awake during the day and ugh. UGH.

Summer.

Of course the option would be to write at night right? hahaha...the issue is my head is clearer in the morning after I wake up and less full of everything, so it's much easier to work and write from the time I wake up until about lunch time. Once the evening comes, I start to settle down. Maybe read a bit and chat with some people online, watch a movie...it's not prime writing time. So I'm losing it all to heat.

Honestly, I'm going to try waking up stupidly early from now on, regardless of how much sleep I get so I can take a nap during the peak heat hours and hope I wake up when it's cooler. Honestly if I can manage that I can probably get some work done.

4 AM, get ready, because here I come.
