Ely Lon was the perfect friend that you just want to frame in your love life because he will always be a crucial part of it as soon as you meet him and he will never be forgotten. Never seen before until later in your high school years, he stands out to you. He is clean-cut and kind of worldly looking, but something beyond that draws you to be close to him.

When you come up to converse with him, he seems ecstatic to respond. Foreign and yet so relatable, he helps you and comforts you. You never experienced lasting feelings for people you meet and yet even as you develop unstable relationships and destroy them he is always there for you. After a couple of years, you can say you understand him the best and that he is a reliable person that comes around to pick you up after a few weeks of an aftermath of a break up. He always has an endless supply of ice cream and romantic comedies to watch. Unknowingly, you began to regret that you never ask any of your friends to help, and that you never tell them about Ely. He tells you that he is moving once you released all the secrets you kept under the sheets of tissues.

Ely is never seen again by you until a fateful day, after you had numerous falling outs with your close friends; and they are being all super silent. It was a well-deserved silent treatment because you let them know that you are moving to Antarctica for a year promptly, on a research expedition. You then notice he looks the same as from before and inquire how he seems to be looking well after all those years.

He states that he is just independent and strong, but reality is that he is lonely.
