Pressure. I work, study do most things better when under pressure. With that said, I'm probably not a good person to give you advice about studying since I cramp everything last minute.

My best advice is study smart not study hard. Tailor your study methods according to the subject. If you tell me what you are studying, I might be able to help better. Aja..aja...fighting!

If the subject is really, really not interesting, I use positive reinforcement. For me, I used to say, okay, I'm gonna do X problems for maths, then I can watch five minutes of my favorite anime, and no more until I do another X problems. Substitute with whatever subject you need to study and whatever is your preferred method of reinforcement, but make sure it's a small, constant reinforcement and there's a good ratio between the work you do and what you get in the end :)

After the exams you will feel relaxed not stressed and when u see the grades you will feel like your on top of the world! :)
