confidence is what mercy is lacking and her indecisiveness supports that. sometimes she can't decide even the simplest thing (for example; does she wants chocolate or candy?). when things get out of hand, she would immediately snap like a breadstick. she would curse a lot and be brutally honest with almost everyone. but EVENTUALLY SHE WOULD REALIZED THAT HER ACTIONS ARE SOMETIMES ARE A LITTLE BIT TOO FAR THAT SHE WOULD PROMPTLY apologize a million times.
BACKGROUND : mercy was born and raised in los angeles. her father is a native english speaker (he was born in america) and her mother, on the other hand, is a native korean speaker (she migrated from south korea a few years back). hence, her fluency in both languages. she grew fondness of the ocean as her father frequently drove up to malibu for a quick splash. she also loves to surf and bathed herself under the sun. she was sure she would be living her dream as a professional surfer who has a beach house near the ocean but shortly after her 13th birthday, her mother died after a long fought battle with cancer.
her father griefed over the death of his beloved wife. he was even more devastated when he found out she was pregnant with their second child (which would have been a brother to mercy). he decided it was best for both mercy and himself to leave the bittersweet home he had known for so long and flew back to southkorea. mercy couldn't understand why they had to migrate and she felt as if she was forced to leave all her dreams and her friends behind (being a teenager filled with mixed emotions and wonders doesn't really help her here) despite of her depression following her mother's death.
at first, she hated to be in a country that feels so foreign under her skin (although she knew this is where her mother was proudly borned and raised). she was a rebel throughout her early teenage years but it was short-lived until her father gave her a letter written personally by her mother for her 15th birthday. the letter brought tears to her eyes and a great void inside her as she knew she misses her mother so much.

TRAINEE life : during her first year of training, she had struggles in trying to adapt to her new environment. she was a heavy sleeper and sometimes, she slept through her alarm and arrived late to her trainings. she also had some difficulties in managing her own finances. she remembered how she solely depends on ramen in a cup sometimes for a whole week until her allowance is given. she admits that she lacks in dancing and she was quite a slow in catching up with the instructor. she always earned a glare from her dance instructor everytime she messed up her moves.

personality : a bad boy with a seducing smile. the words from his mouth are both sweet and menacing in a good way in which no woman (with the exception of some) could resist. he is known for dating out with a lot of female idols and it always ended up going down the rough road. although being infamously known for being a casanova, he has a soft spot for his nieces and nephews. he loves to listen to their stories and likes to tickle them to make them laugh.
History : mercy first met him when they were kids during one of her family's picnic at the malibu beach. she was building a sandcastle by the ocean when suddenly all her hardwork was blown away when a soccerball flew at her direction and into her sandcastle. eli ran up to mercy only to see her returning the ball with tears on her eyes. eli felt guilty as he was the one who kicked it and toss it to his friends. eli offered his help in rebuilding the sandcastle in which mercy gladly accepted.
ever since that day, they became best friends. needless to say, eli has already begun dating the girls around his age while mercy just shook her head in disapproval whenever she saw him with different girls.
after the death of mercy's mother, eli was heart-brokened to hear that mercy was going back to south korea. he was begging for her not to go but there was no turning back. he thought he would never see her again. but somehow, fate brought them back together. as soon as he saw mercy walked out from a grocery store, he ran and hugged her tight, saying how much he misses her. it took mercy a while to realized it was eli and hugged him back with tears in her eyes.
they started dating shortly after mercy's 17th birthday. eli is 24 at the moment. people were saying things about them but they didn't care. age is just a number, they thought. but when mercy began to receive hates and threatening blackmails from eli's crazy ex-girlfriend, eli knew he needs to do something. he knew it wasn't ok by the scarred looks on her eyes everytime he asked about her day. so, he cheated and their relationship lasted for six months.
relationship : everytime they met, whether backstage or accidentally encountered each other in between performances, eli would always receive a sweet smile from mercy (she couldn't stand being mad at someone she loves) and that's it. eli felt a pang of guilt swept in his heart, wishing mercy would give him another chance in rebuilding their love.
