Personality:
Elizabeth often has a smile on her face and tries to be portrayed as a happy person, but she has a habit of keeping the smile on her face even when she is unhappy, which can cause her feelings to be stuck inside of her. This can cause her to have breakdowns occasionally, and sometimes they can be so bad that she cannot move from her spot. She often prefers to care and help others instead of them helping her, and she is often the first to want to help people with work and things. But her feet are just a little too big for her body(she is a size 9) and she will often trip over her own feet. She also has an uncanny ability to hurt herself in small but painful ways, so when she goes through a day without getting hurt she feels extremely proud of herself. Although she’s not the most stubborn person in the world due to her kindness and conscience, she can be very stubborn when she deals with things she does not like. She has a natural instinct to do cute things, like resting her head in her hands cutely or simply acting that way.
Elizabeth is a bit naive, which can sometimes cause her to make mistakes or trust the wrong people, but she always overcomes them in the end. Her confidence level is, well, not the highest and she tends to be very quiet around people she is not comfortable with it. But she enjoys making people laugh, and to her one of the best things in the world is being able to make someone laugh until they can’t breathe. Her dream would be to become and singer if her piano does not lead the way to success. She has big dreams and simple dreams at the same time, and both of them mean the world to her, but she doesn’t like sharing them with other people because of past experiences with family. But because of her personal misfortunes, she has become a person who can handle a lot of mental beating down before she breaks.
Finally, Elizabeth loves to daydream about practically everything. She is often lost in thought during her more boring classes, but has a talent for still picking up all of the important information so her teachers don’t mind most of the time. Elizabeth can also be sassy and sarcastic, but its always in a joking and humourous way. She is also the type of person who can easily do diys that many find impossible, from cute nails to holiday decorations.
Background:
Born as a healthy child to Thomas and and Annelise Fredrick, Elizabeth was a healthy baby girl. But when she was little, Elizabeth’s parents didn’t do the best job of taking care of her. Her father quickly left her mother when he found out she was pregnant, although they were already married. She simply tells herself that he didn’t want kids at the time, not paying attention to other factors that could have been a part of it. Often times when Elizabeth was little, her mother would simply leave her at home alone with just a toddler piano and go out instead of caring for her child. But the neighbors knew this and they would often come over after her mother was gone and care for Elizabeth. Once every few weeks after she turned four, her father would stop by and visit her and at least attempt to get to know his child. But by then, her parents were divorced and she never really got to spend large amounts of time with him.
Elizabeth had no idea she had a brother older than her by 7 years until her grandmother came to visit and brought him along. Being a twelve year old boy at the time, he took surprising interest in Elizabeth and they quickly grew close. By the time she was five her grandmother would come over with her brother, James, and each time he would beg for her to come live with them, as he was living with Grandma because Elizabeth’s mother was even less capable of taking care of a child when he was born. On her sixth birthday, her grandmother gave her an actual piano, and Elizabeth loved it at once. She had grown up so far being fascinated by her toy one, and having a real one was like a dream come true. Elizabeth had only two constant friends from kindergarten to sixth grade, and one of them abandoned her once seventh grade was met, breaking Elizabeth’s heart and leaving her to fend the beginning journey in a school filled with strangers alone, due to her other friend going to a private school. But no hard feelings, right?
Her mother, for an unknown reason, hated her little girl more and more as she grew. At the age of seven, Elizabeth was sent to go live with her grandmother, and unluckily for her, she was finally at the age where she understood that her mother despised her. But as long as she could take her piano with her, she believed she would be fine. As she grew, her brother never stopped adoring and caring for her(except for the little fights they had infrequently), and when he had to go to college, Elizabeth was very relieved to know he would be going to one close by and was studying child psychology. By the time she was twelve, her mother stopped contacting her altogether, and Elizabeth finally realized that both of her parents had rejected her as a human in their own time as her father’s visits became less and less frequent. She poured herself into music, and when she wasn’t doing that she was reading her favourite books over and over and delving herself into the kitchen. She found kpop and k dramas through a friend(which she had very few of) when she was thirteen, and she soon realized once she entered middle school that she could never be normal like the other kids.
She found success, though, through the music program at school, and soon started to perform piano concerts in the auditorium whenever the students needed a break. Her anger and sadness towards her parents could be let out through the keys, and her love towards her grandmother and brother could be heard in the notes. Her music was hers and hers only when she played, and she grew upon that her entire life(so far).

Best Friend // Lucia Barraza // 16 // Lucia introduced Elizabeth to the world of kpop, and they have become even closer since. Elizabeth occasionally teases Lucia for being super short, but its always light and with a friendly air.
Best Friend // Jane Sonnischen // 17 // Jane was Elizabeth’s first close friend once she entered middle school, so she is very near and dear to Elizabeth’s heart.
Best Friend // Lotus West // 18 // Lotus has been close to Elizabeth since they had a conversation about cake in preschool, and Elizabeth has stayed loyal to her throughout Lotus’s family problems and mental health struggles. She is Elizabeth’s only friend that Elizabeth has been able to stay close to throughout her entire life.
Plotline: { The Pianist }
How did your character hear about Musically? : She was looking for music schools to attend once high school was over online, and she came across the school in Korea due to her previous searches about Korean idols and shows. She took immediate interest, and instantly went to her grandmother to tell her about it. Her grandmother happily encouraged her interest, and hope started to fuel Elizabeth.
How did your character get into Musically? :
Elizabeth quickly sent an invitation and letter to the school to come to her soon coming concert at the school, asking them to come see her and that she and the music director at her school(who happened to be pretty accomplished and well known) believed they would not be let down if they came. They quickly replied through email, saying that they were interested and the headmaster would be attending the performance, but to not be too hopeful because the headmaster was very hard to please. Elizabeth practiced non stop for the performance, planning to play her best piece and maybe a few more accompanied by her voice. When the night came, it turned out to be the best performance she’s had yet, leaving the headmaster very impressed. After the performance, he/she immediately pulled Elizabeth aside to tell her she would most definitely accepted into the school instantly, and information would be given to her soon. Although her brother wasn’t too glad to let her go, he was supportive and Elizabeth’s grandmother was the most proud of all.
When/How did your character find interest in music? :
Elizabeth’s mother often left her alone in the house with a small child piano, and Elizabeth quickly latched on to the notes and the instrument that would play them. She took lessons from her grandmother even before she lived with her, and quickly found a professional instructor when she moved in with her loving grandparent as she quickly advanced beyond her grandmother. Music was her friend when she was lonely, a way for her to feel her emotion without bothering other people and ultimately, her savior from the world whenever it hurt her. She loved it, and music loved her back.
How long has your character been playing his/her instrument? :
Twelve years!
Is he/she any good at their instrument? :
She enjoys playing and getting better at it, and her grandmother strongly believes she’s a prodigy(even if Elizabeth believes otherwise), so pretty much, yes!
How good is your character at playing his/her music? :
She wants to become world famous as an artist playing both classical and more modern music, her favourite music to write being love songs for the heart(pretty darn good).
How long does your character plan to stay at musically? :
As long as it takes for her to reach success or come to the point where she is able to reach her goals.
There may be a time that your character may have to leave musically, how would you like your character to leave? :
I believe the only way she would leave without being kicked out(being one of the ten people not to continue) would be if something devastating happened to her brother or she had the ability to achieve her dreams.

No. She wants to prosper at the academy, not be left in the dust by other students.

Appearance:
Elizabeth’s hair is actually golden blonde, and she has bangs swept to the left side of her face. Her hair is naturally wavy to straight, and quite soft with little volume. She likes to keep it long, usually down to a little above the middle of her back. Her eyes are also super blue with a pretty medium to deep colour. She has very pale skin, and a few natural freckles can still be found on her face and body(there isn’t very many). She's obviously has a pretty skinny body(but she still got those curves ya know what I mean).
Style:
Elizabeth like to wear large sweaters and cute dresses. Most of her regular shirts have cheesy phrases on them or are just fandom related. Her sweaters are many colours but each one only has one colour. Her dresses can go anywhere from a flowy sundress decorated with flowers to a vintage polka dotted fifties style. She has a few hats, consisting of a white thickly knit beanie, a classic sunhat, and two snapbacks(one baymax and one hogwarts designed). She occasionally wears necklaces and rings, usually having cute designs. Basically, her style is cute and shows off a lot of her personality.

First Meeting:
“Naega wae!” Elizabeth exclaims at the tree she just ran into, rubbing her forehead. She spins around as she hears suppressed laughter behind her. Seeing a tall boy a few years older than her watching her from a few feet away, she crosses her arms and pouts jokingly. He lets out his chuckles, walking over to her. “Are you okay?’ he laughs, checking your forehead for cuts. “I’m fine, you get used to running things after a while when you’re as clumsy as me,” Elizabeth responds, studying the person before her to find that he is very tall, has glasses, dark hair, and has one of the best smiles she’s seen in awhile. “I’m sorry, but I believe I don’t know you. Who are you?” she asks him, not recognizing him from anywhere around town. “Oh, I’m Jae,” he replies. “Ad you are?’ “Elizabeth,” you say with a smile. “Well, Elizabeth, would you like to show me around town? This is my first time in Kansas, and I’m afraid I’m a bit lost,” he chuckles. “Sure!” She says, she doesn’t have any plans today anyway and Jae seems to be a good person. As the day flies by, they grow closer over Elizabeth falling over her own feet ever so often and Jae getting ice cream from Sheridan’s on his forehead. At at least 8 o’clock at night, Elizabeth checks the time and is startled by how fast time had passes. “Oh, I’m sorry, but it seems to be later than I thought. I believe I have to go home now, but I hope I’ve shown you around well!” She waves at Jae as she begins to leave the shop they were exploring. “Wait!” he says. “Can I at least get your phone number? I don’t want to lose you as a friend.” Elizabeth turns around in surprise and nods. Writing her number on a piece of paper from her purse, she laughs and hands it to him. “I was hoping you would say that.” She turns and leaves the store, waving behind her as she walks away from the little store.
Interactions:
As in any good friendship between people who don’t live close together(Jae lives in LA), they kept touch through skype and text. Once Elizabeth got into Musically, she immediately skyped him, only to find that he was going to tell her that he had also been recently accepted. But it just so happens that one of the two wishes their relationship would go further now that they would be together.
Love Rival(s): I mean Jae’s pretty attractive so if another girl tried to start something with him I think that would be interesting, no matter whether Jae or Elizabeth wanted to take their own relationship further.
