My shipper heart...

Chanbaek will be the death of me. But they also give me life so idk anymore. Haha.

A fellow Chanbaek shipper, Alixias, is feeling down because her beloved dog passed away. 

To make her feel better, a wrote a short story.

Despite his busy schedule, Chanyeol makes sure to find time for weekend dates, and Baekhyun looks forward to spending the day with Chanyeol.

This time around, Chanyeol brings Baekhyun to a park downtown. There are quite a few people in this particular park, and the couple is grateful for that. Chanyeol and Baekhyun are walking hand in hand, enjoying the serene view. A while later, they settle in the swings, their legs swaying a bit. Actually, Baekhyun's legs are the only ones swaying because Chanyeol's legs are too long. 

What catches Baekhyun's attention is a couple running around the field chasing their son. 

What would it be like to have a family?

While Baekhyun is making himself busy by folding his laundry, Chanyeol calls to say he'll pass by Baekhyun's home after work. Baekhyun decides to cook something delicious for his boyfriend, because he's positive that Chanyeol is tired, and he knows that food never fails to make him happy.

Baekhyun enters the supermarket they frequent and proceeds to buy all the necessary ingredients for his kimchi jjigae. He still has enough time left before Chanyeol arrives, so he decides to stroll around the mall. He passes by the Home Dept, and he stops on his tracks when his eyes wander around the variety of furniture and appliances.

What would it be like to live with Chanyeol?

Baekhyun continues to walk around, then he spots a gray scarf on a clothing store. He imagines the scarf will look good on Chanyeol, or rather Chanyeol will make the scarf look good. Baekhyun giggles at the thought.

On his way out, Baekhyun passes by the jewelry shop where he accompanied Sehun and Luhan to buy their wedding rings. He remembers that a particular ring piqued his interest, so out of curiosity, he enters the store to check if the ring is still there. Much to his dismay, the clerk tells him that someone already bought the ring.

An hour later, Baekhyun's dish is ready and he's sits on the couch to watch a variety show. The doorbell rings not too long after, and Baekhyun skips excitedly towards the door. He's greeted by Chanyeol's loving smile and warm hug.

Chanyeol removes his coat and loosens his tie upon entering Baekhyun's living room. 

"Chan-"

Baekhyun pouts and rests his hands on his waist at the sight of his boyfriend sprawled on the couch, legs and arms spread out.

"Chanyeol!"

At Baekhyun's voice, Chanyeol sits up. "Sorry. What is it?"

"I have something for you."

Baekhyun puts the scarf around his boyfriend's neck, and he takes a step back to admire his work.

"I'll go to the kitchen to prepare the food."

Baekhyun starts to walk away, but Chanyeol grabs his arm, and turns him around. He sees Chanyeol's wide smile and he feels like melting.

"Why are you smiling like that?" Baekhyun puts a hand over Chanyeol's mouth to hide the smile.

Chanyeol gently removes Baekhyun's hand, he wraps his arms around his waist, and pulls him closer. He stares deeply into Baekhyun's eyes. 

"Will you marry me?"

Chanyeol then moves his hand under Baekhyun's chin, he angles his face and kisses him.

Baekhyun's expression is a mixture of shock and confusion. Realization eventually hits him and he hides his face in Chanyeol's chest.

Chanyeol wraps his arm around Baekhyun, and whispers into his ear,

"I love you, Byun Baekhyun. Everytime I look at you, I see my future. I can't wait to spend forever with you."

Tears slide down Baekhyun's cheeks as Chanyeol eases the ring onto his finger.                                      

He's happy because soon he'll be married to Chanyeol, and in addition to that, it was Chanyeol who bought the ring from the jewelry shop.

Baekhyun no longer wonders what it would feel like to be with Chanyeol.

Every morning, Chanyeol's face is the first thing he sees. He cooks breakfast for them, and he helps him get ready for work. When evening comes, they eat dinner together and talk about their day. They cuddle on the couch while watching a movie or any show in the television. He lays in Chanyeol's arms until they fall asleep. Then he dreams about him, and when he wakes up, he sees his husband's face again. 

Chanyeol loves Baekhyun more than anything in this world, and everyday, he shows his husband how much he means to him.
