PERSONALITY ☆ 

Yeon Hyun hates to see people struggling so she tries to be as helpful as she can possibly be and is always willing to help in any way she can. She is also very protective of everyone even if she doesn't know them. She feels more concerned about other people's feelings and problems more than her own. When she thinks she’s made a bad decision than she starts to feel upset. In her family, she is the youngest but she is more mature than her older brothers so they nicknamed her mother. Yeon Hyun likes to keep things clean and when there is something that is even slightly dirty than she feels the need to clean it. When it comes to money, that is no problem for Yeon Hyun. She knows how to earn and manage money wisely.

She doesn’t think she is pretty and no one has ever told her except her parents and her best friends but she doesn’t believe them so she is very insecure. She gets excited easily and loves to have fun. She is filled with energy. Yeon Hyun is never satisfied with her work so she always works harder to make it better but it always harms her in some way. She was once practicing the new dance for the group’s debut but she couldn’t get it right so she practiced for 6 hours straight to try and perfect it but she ended up fainting from dehydration and fatigue.

BACKGROUND ☆ 

Yeon Hyun’s parents met in Gwangju when her mother was on vacation and her father was on an investigation and they ended up getting married and having 3 kids there. They named her Yeon Hyun but her father calls her Hyun-Ae. After Yeon Hyun turned 6, the family decided to move to Mokpo since her mother missed being there. Yeon Hyun grew up with 2 twin older brothers, TaeHyuk and JinHo. TaeHyuk, is studying to become a police officer just like his father and JinHo, is a college student who is trying to become a professional photographer. Her brothers are very protective of their sister since she’s the only girl. Yeon Hyun’s father used work as a police officer in Gwangju but later got transferred to Mokpo to move with his family. Because of this she looks up to him since he works to protect people. With her love of baking, her mother opened up a bakery in Mokpo that’s pretty popular. Her mother taught Yeon Hyun how to cook, clean, and how to take care of her and her brothers for whenever she would have to come home late. This is why her brothers call her mother.

Yeon Hyun started singing and playing instruments when she turned 9. Even though she was young she took playing/performing seriously. When she was 10 she started performing in her mother's cafe to help boost business and gain experience. She ended up helping her mother earn double of what she was earning before she started preforming there. This went on for 5 years until she turned 15. One day while she was performing, a scouting agent from Big Hit saw her performing while ordering from her mother’s bakery and decided to let her audition. Yeon Hyun passed her audition and went on to train for 5 years until the company finally told her that she was going to debut in their newest girl group.

He loves his family more than anything and loves to mess around with them. He always makes time for his family even when he is really busy with work. He is very protective of his family but knows how to give them their personal space.

Yeon Hyun didn’t want anything else to happen to SeoLin since she hates fighting and violence so she vowed to stay close to SeoLin to protect her. They ended up staying close friends all throughout middle and high school and were inseparable. They still keep in contact and hang out whenever they both have free time along with Hyungmin

He always asks her for help on his college work and asking her about advice on girls. He may seem like he’s just annoying and trying to bother her but he is actually sweet and caring. He would always put a lollipop in her bag when she wasn’t looking to make her happy and brighten her day. He still does this whenever they meet up nowadays and it always manages to make her day a little better.

He later released the news about the couple which brought many diverse reactions from the fans about the two dating.

- "Is Hyun-Ae cheating on Suga?" | False | Yeon Hyun's brother TaeHyuk came to Gem Girl's showcase to surprise her  and show his support and she was so happy that she kissed him on the cheek and wouldn't leave his side since she hadn't seen him in a while. The press caught them together after the showcase and were quick to make a story about it.

PERSONALITY ☆  Suga is a sweet, dorky, quiet yet loud, protective, crazy, weird, and lovable person. He comes off as cold to some but he just likes to be quiet sometimes and let others have the fun. But he does likes to goof around and play with his friends sometimes but in the end is really hard working. He loves music with a passion and loves to compose music. He is kind and loving and to Yeon Hyun is the best person she has ever met. Suga doesn’t really know how to express his feelings that well to people and he isn’t a fan of skinship either but when it comes to Yeon Hyun he will make an exception. Suga loves to be surrounded by those that he loves and cherishes which includes Yeon Hyun.

RELATIONSHIP ☆  Label Mates and Dating.

HISTORY ☆  Even though they were in the same company, Yeon Hyun didn’t get to officially meet BTS until they came in to check up on the trainees during her 5th year of training and to watch them as they practice. Yeon Hyun was very nervous to meet them so she knew she was going to mess up in front of them. While watching, the BTS members noticed that not only was Yeon Hyun messing up but so were some of the other trainees. Since this was at a time where BTS didn’t have to promote they decided to do one on one help for the trainees. Simple to say that when it got to the time where it was one on one time with Suga that she messed up even more than normal. Yeon Hyun doesn’t really know how to rap, she is more of a singer and dancer than a rapper. She told Suga this and yet he was insistent on helping her learn. They exchanged numbers after that and would work hard together to help Yeon Hyun learned. 
It failed but Suga found out that Yeon Hyun is very talented at writing lyrics and composing. So he switched to teaching her the elements of composing instead. This brought them closer together since it was something they both love to do. This continued for a while and Yeon Hyun finally got comfortable around him. Yeon Hyun got so comfortable with him that she started doing skinships with him. She would hug him randomly when she came up with a good lyric or she would lean on him when she got really comfortable in her seat. At first she could tell that he was uncomfortable with it but as time went on he would be ok with her doing it. There would also be those rare times where he would do it back to her. Like him putting his arm around her when she would lean on him.
From the time that they first started one on one training it was already 3 months past and BTS were having another comeback. This meant that the training together had to stop.  On the last day of their training together, Yeon Hyun thanked Suga but they promised to meet up and compose together even after Gem Girls would debut.
Suga and Yeon Hyun both knew they had feelings for each other but they would never go against the company’s 2 year dating ban, so they kept their feelings secret. Soon enough Gem Girls were put together and they debuted. A year had passed after Gem Girls debuted and they were having a comeback for their anniversary. BTS were finishing their comeback schedule and for a week had to promote with Gem Girls. After their first performance for their comeback, Suga and Yeon Hyun met up so that he could congratulate her. When they met up they had an awkward air around them since they were keeping their feeling from each other. This pushed Yeon Hyun to push back her nerves and admit to Suga that she had a crush on him. Suga smiled at her and said that he had a crush on her too but they couldn’t be together because of the 2 year ban. They both agreed that if they still liked each other after the ban was lifted then they would talk about it. So they waited for the time to come.
After Gem Girls’ 2 year anniversary of their debut, Suga and Yeon Hyun met up. They talked about their feelings for each other and decided that since the ban was over that they would start dating. They immediately told their company about the relationship to avoid any future conflict. The company told them to keep down about their relationship since both groups were so popular and they didn’t want to cause conflict with the fans. So they kept their relationship a secret from the press and kept their dates to walks at night in small parks, in the recording studio, and in the dorms. Even though they tried to keep quiet about their relationship, Dispatch caught the two of them while they were on a date in the park. Suga, Yeon Hyun, and Big Hit agreed to release an official statement confirming their relationship. Of course there were many diverse reactions from their fans about the relationship. But majority of the fans accepted the statement since they could tell that Suga and Yeon Hyun really liked each other. From then on their relationship continued and their feelings for each other grew.
