Coloring Medium: D' Artist Craft Pearlized watercolor

Remarks: I need more practice with water control. Painting with watercolor is different from applying a wet brush over an area colored in with watercolor pencils. Just happy that the paints are shining shimmering pretty.  I will shade this with my color pencils; might doodle inside the spaces too. For the background, I want to do a galaxy but I would practice first on another sheet of paper. Black is so messy as you can see in my other WIP below.

Remarks: I originally planned on just using my watercolor pencils. For some reason, the brush was holding up more water than it used to -_- The black bled through the yellow in the beak of the toucan in the right that I had to cover it up with my soft pastels. The more I tried to fix it, the messier it got.

The same is true with the toucan on the left. I even lifted off some of the paper on the lower left part of it's tail when I was erasing.

It was so frustrating. Nothing I ever did seem to go as planned like my previous colored pages.

... like my life an hour ago...

I made a mess out of my job interview last Tueday, 2pm - the same day we announced the giveaway. I berated myself for a day and a half for how stupid I was...

I tried to keep my mind off it through coloring and discussing  the details of the giveaway with the other cactus, aleric. (Thank you fellow cactus for bearing with me.)

I even had a Rick Warren podcast marathon because I couldn't  handle it on my own, I needed encouragement. I needed to forgive myself and accept what happened to move on. 

The more I listened the more it was easier for me to accept it.

And then... I got the call.

I'm hired, guys!

LOL

I'll be busy again ^0^
