NCT: First Listen
Alright, so I checked out NCT U(what is the U?) 7th Sense and Without You
7th Sense was really good, not my usual style, but definitely good. It's got this smooth hip-hop feel, and it's definitely worth listening to more. I'm not quite sure what the concept of the music video is, but I'm a tad bit spacey at times and I tend not to pay close attention until I've seen it like, 6 or 7 times. I'd would recommend this song to anyone unsure if they want to check out NCT and I'll probably listen a few more times, although it's not something I'd put on replay.
Without You has a more upbeat sound, but sadder(???)(this is supposed to be a music critique and I don't know how to describe music BLEGH). I actually prefer this one to 7th Sense, and I'll probably listen to it more than a few times. Again, I didn't pay much attention to the music video(though I glanced at it and swore I saw Xiumin. I did not.) so I can't say very much to that, but I did notice that it seemed to have more of a storyline to it. This is the sort of song I'd make my brother listen to in my car while I try to sing along in gibberish(not all of us can sing in Korean).
All in all, NCT sounds pretty good, I'm not normally huge on SM groups, and I don't think I'll get overly into them, but I'll probably keep up with their music and you should check them out if you haven't.
Special thanks to: chaanyeolah and longassride who commented on my last blog entry How To: Blog(yes I am going to link everything) and told me that YES I SHOULD CHECK OUT NCT(paraphrasing here but it's close enough).
Message me if you want me to check out anyone else! I'm always up for good music(that includes *gasp* non-K-pop). I'm going to try to make this "music critiquing" a thing for me. Or, y'know, if you just want to talk. That's cool too.
Breejen out!
