Shining Shimmering Splendid Gift ^0^
It's here ~^3^~
I didn't get to open it because my sister being my sister had to check if I really received the correct item. Haha. The package arrived at her office ^0^
My #teambahay (#teamhouse) prize from the Rizal OCC - the pearlized watercolor set of 12 colors by D'Artist craft ^0^ Tada!
The pans remind me of eyeshadow - the ones my sister own that I scrape off with a toothpick to brush over my clay pieces ^^"
(heh, I'm so excited I couldn't wait for tomorrow to do a photoshoot)
I am so impatient to play with it so I made a swatch. I tilted this in so many different angles just so my point-and-shoot could capture the shimmmer.
I prefer light colors and was so happy that the first swipe of the brush was so light and even. But I had to add a second layer if I want the colors to show haha.
For some odd reason, the violet and fuschia don't shimmer that much. And the black one doesn't have any shine at all 0_0
I spritzed some water on to the individual pans before dipping my wet brush on them. The pans are dry and not moist like my Prang. For the other colors, I just dip and then brush. When that didn't work with the three pans, I let the brush soak in more of the paint.
I will try again tomorrow evening and see if I could get the black to shimmer.
Of course, I had to try it in one of my coloring books. I chose Animorphia, because its paper holds water pretty well.
Weee... Shining shimmering splendid! There's no bleed through. So for the Butterflies page, I will use this watercolor ^0^
So happy ^0^ I'll start with this set before I move on to the artist quality pearlescent sets that are so expensive I might be scared to try them.
There will be another blackout tomorrow from noon onwards. So I'm out of reach. But as always, just leave a message if you need anything :D
