What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
A guy (Jason) created aff for a friend of his who loved to write but hated the old site that she use to write on because it use to always crash on her while she was updating her fanfictions. As a good friend and because he had time on his hands (?) he created AFF to suit her fanfiction writing style. (I think I read this somewhere)

I didn't care much for it at first (moo-lawn insisted I create an account -.-') but within a few years I started to get on more and more until I got addicted to it. I use to play TinierMe all the time and when they closed that down (RIP T.T) I went on out of sheer boredom at first.

Broke the scale, 100/10....god this is embarrassing, it's like my addiction to get on the site and start scrolling or writing or fix something idk. I stay up late at night doing hw and scrolling through the site. My attempt at a semi-haitus to fix my addiction failed miserably...T-T
18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?
Review, Applyfic stuff, Write, Read, Practice Coding...whatever I think is interesting.
19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
I don't. I give them away, not sure why they're so coveted...
20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
Um, if we were able to turn it into real usable cash that would be amazingly cool. If not...well I guess to buy clothing. If we could, I would be coveting KP's too.

23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
The simplicity of it all, it's not overbearing with special gear/effects or anything. There's alot of things I love about this site and I'll list them all if you don't mind reading like, an essay's worth. The site has all of what you want (the stories) placed right there in the middle of the page and the ad's are pushed out to the corner's or sides of the page where they don't bother us. I love the fact that aff's notification's are old school and require you to refresh the page in order to see it, it gives me a sense of idk tranquility? I like the fact that you can open multiple tabs all about aff (even blog or story posts) and it acts like seprate little websites. The graphics, review, and layout shops as well as the distributation is amazingly cool here, I mean...unlike other websites, the sale of that is an actual thing that you can take credit for doing. Most other writing sites have a strict coding policy and we're not able to make layouts but on here we have fanmade video's, covers, singing groups, etc.
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
The fact that the stories don't automatically save right away as soon as you type them. That and the crazy amounts of drama and shade that gets passed around, but it's whatever.
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Hmm.....I think I would introduce....a tiny interactive plant or pet? I mean, I know this is a writing site and all but hey, all writers need their 50 cat's or dogs and maybe even a few overgrown plants. Something like the little doggy that followed us around the screen, something that's slightly interactive but can also be put away if the user doesn't like it. Maybe even have it be able to greet other users who visit your page? Idk just something to get us to be more friendly.
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
Instead of a color I guess I would want it to conform to the seasons, something for summer, spring, fall and winter...and probably using color schemes in pastel or a light and breezy type of feeling.
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?

29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
I'm greatful for the few nice gems out here in aff. Not everyone is mean, and also the few great stories that I'm able to find.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
The amazing writers who get noticed and also the hidden writters with a ton of talent that don't get noticed.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
None, I haven't competed any of them and wouldn't consider them as amazing unless I liked the outcome of the story.
32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
Stories, I loved would have to be Bittersweet, Trapped in a K-Drama, Tales of a Murderer, Deceptive Realities, Fatal...this is just a few.
33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?
I don't favorite authors, I favorite the stories. They have tons of ideas, I just might like one of them.

I've gotten engaged into a ton of fun shops and unique applyfics
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
I guess I use to be so interested in writing stories, but now it's branched off into applyfics, reviewing, minor coding, and also reading.
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
Roleplay, I just have no idea how it works or what your suppose to do. I've thought about trying just once but I've always chickened out.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
Just becasue your a kpop fangirl or guy doesn't mean that you can't achieve great things. You can make lasting friendships on here, get a book published, and even grow from some of the conflicts that arise.
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
um....I haven't done anything to cause an amazing contribution....yet.
43. What are your current AFF goals?
Finish at least one of my stories and get my applyfic story up and running oh and also successfully continue to run the shop that I have been temporarily placed as a co-author for until the owner comes back.
44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
NYC, Hollywood, California, or Florida...We could go to korea town in NYC and the big apple and also shop, there's a ton to do in hollywood (Disney flipping Land), and there are a ton of amusement parks and beaches down here in florida.
45. AFF is celebrating it's 7th year and is continuing to grow thanks to our admin, Jason. Do you have a message for him?
Oh, well...if he does take the time to read all of our messages then I just want to say thanks. Greatly. Idk if this website seems like childplay to you or not (since a majority of the users are teen girls or use to be teen girls), but I feel like it's helped us all to grow and expand our horizons. We can get so much support on this site from strangers that we have probably never even met before, close bonds can be made and sadnesses can be remedied. The staff and support team does more for us than we bargained for or even expected, and the minimal amounts of changes added to this site makes it peaceful. We all need to say thanks for planting this little website that grew and grew into the strong community that it has become today. So....thanks.
