What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
I think so that the creator's girlfriend had a more reliable place to post stories. Which is a very nice thing to do, and I wish I was that good with technology.
2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
Uh...something in 2009? I really have no idea!
3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?
DBSK? Super Junior? I do not know!
4. How long have you been on AFF for?
Nearly five years. I think I signed up last day of April or something in 2011.
5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?
Green! I like keeping it green.
6. How did you find AFF?
One of my best friends had an account
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
Well, the aforementioned best friend had just got me into K-Pop, and I was writing a lot of fics. I'd written fanfiction before, for books and the like, but this was uncharted territory and I was mostly keeping it to myself. I showed my friends (and on one memorable occasion, my youngest brother), but that was basically it. And then late one night, I decided to take the plunge and post.

I believe 31553, which I like, because it has my favourite number in it.
9. What was your first username?
ConfessToShisus. I've never changed it, I like it that much. I stole it from a roleplayer's ask box. I know, I'm a terrible, boring person.
10. What was the first story you read on here?
God knows. I think it was a QMi one. It may have been .
11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?
I've absolutely no idea! Wow. That is a question...I don't think I still speak to them, which is a shame. But people come and go, it's a pretty big site. ^^
12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
Weeeeeell, I'll say it's my best friends, but I'm fairly sure one of the first ones I didn't already know was golferox, and we still regularly talk, which is lovely.
13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?
Oh god. Ahem. I have 76 stories, apparently. I counted, and I'm not sure this is accurate, but I think 56 are completed. Please bear in mind, most of them are oneshots. I am not very good at finishing my fics. ._. Many of them do still have plans, though!
14. How many unique subscribers do you have?
I hate this question. Why must you ask me this! 1875. ._.
15. What badges do you have?
Three. I have the adorable penguin for four years, the great pioneer badge in which I am an astronaut (despite the fact I am terrified of space I still like the idea), and the cute fluffy friendly badge. Which is nice. I never knew I was friendly.
16. Have you been an AFF Gold Member?
Nope. I'm poor. Okay. I spend all my money on eBay.
17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?
Ten, I guess. I have a strange compulsion to obsessively check the sites I'm on, and I like talking to people. But not a lot of people seem to be talking to me at the moment, which is a shame, but probably good for me as I'm supposed to be working on my dissertation. >.> Yes. That.
18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?
Talk to people, and occasionally post. I'd love to be posting more, but I simply cannot commit to writing until May, when all of my assignments should be in.
19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
I do not think I have ever spent any. Oh, wait, I did, I sent some to one of my best friends so she could change her username. And now she's never on here. xD Not that it matters. I can still bother her in real life.
20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
If I could get merch, that would be awesome. I never buy anything any more, it's all too expensive. I do love the Chen lipbalm, though...not that I bought that. It was a gift. ._.
21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?
AHAHAHA no. I don't have the first idea how to edit, and also, you will never see my face. Not today, Satan.
22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
I think I've peeked at it, but I don't think I've ever entered it. I'm not really a chatroom type of girl. I prefer one-to-one talks.
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
How ing easy it is to post. Dear god, compared to ff.net and lj, it's piss easy. AO3's pretty good, though.
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
I suppose, for me, it would be subscribers-only. I don't see the point, and I think it's just a tool used by people to get popularity...which I don't get. I guess, for me, I just like people to be able to find my fics and subscribe if they like it. And comment. But nobody does that anymore. WHERE ARE YOU, COMMENTERS? GIVE ME LOVE!
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Um, probably an in-site beta service. There's a loooooot of horrifying grammar and spelling on here. And maybe I would also do a course on human anatomy and how actually works, as well as ways to combat misogny and weird ideas about uality and gender, but that's possible just me.
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
Maybe purple would be nice? I don't know. I quite like the green!
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
Hmm, well real life human friends excluded, I suppose golferox. :3 We've had a lot of fun chatting. I'll give a shout out to kagaki, bloodelfprincess, sweet_dreams, bougeotte, LemonCupcakes37, swabluu, eykdotcom, llmoreno, darkshoumy and hime-chan. We might not talk a lot now (or ever) but they've all been wonderful, and very supportive!
28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
I don't think there are any? I don't read a lot any more, to be honest (other than crack-reading, but that's a completely different kettle of fish, and one that does not make a particularly good person).
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
All the people mentioned above, as well as those who have left comments that kept me writing. I am grateful to all commenters/subscribers, but the ones who leave detailed comments have a special space in my heart.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
Er...I'd rather not answer that, on the grounds it might incriminate me.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
Hmm. Probably my Gossip Girl!au, which I am genuinely quite proud of. It is difficult for me to say I am proud of anything, but I put a lot into that, and it might not be my most popular au, but it's something I worked hard on, and adore thinking about. I love Gossip Girl anyway, but the story that started it all (Some Kind Of Loving) was so much fun and angst. The characters are all very special to me. A couple of new aus I have planned with Pandapop82 are also something I'm very excited about, but they'll likely be on other sites as we share the aus.
32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
I guess I don't read so much any more. I can't really answer this question.

HA. Too many things to list. Probably mpreg. I knew it existed. I didn't know how many people were into it. And . I though slash and were the same thing. I was wrong. But that's okay because now is part of my dissertation and I look smarticle.
38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
The support I have had for some of my fics.

Ahem. Well. I guess I like a lot of different groups now, though I don't write about all of them. And I stopped writing EunHae.

I'd like to be good at all the creative desigining and coding stuff, but that is not to be. I'll stick to the imaginary worlds in my head.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
Never underestimate how weird a fic is about to get.

A massive auditorium with a lot of popcorn for when the catfights start? I suppose something like Comic Con would be cool. Lots of stalls for all the different types of things like.
