1. Why was Asianfanfics created?

Jason created it for his girlfriend. But I believe there was also a sat note about this story?


2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?

I don't know, but apparently it's April of 2009?


3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?

I have to admit I haven't read any of this fanfics yet ^^'





4. How long have you been on AFF for?

For four years now. I joined in March of 2012.


5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?

It was green and I liked it a lot. So far I still haven't switched to the new layout... Somehow AFF belongs in green for me and I like the old layout a lot. :)


6. How did you find AFF?

I wass looking for my bias' pictures on google (or was it even the OTP already?) and then I happened to stumble upon this website.


7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?

I don't quite remember, but I think I wanted to leave a comment. Or maybe there was a story I couldn't read because I wasn't a member yet? I think one of those two made me join in the end.

9. What was your first username?

I've never changed my username.


10. What was the first story you read on here?

The author deleted her account... But I think it was an EunHae fanfic where Donghae was a merman? I've read several of her stories, so it might have been a different story that I've read first. I only remeber I've really liked her stories and I'm still sad she left.


11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?

I don't quite remember, but I think it was mintykyu...


12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?

My first friend on here is said to be 'SHINsUpaKB2isst', but I'm not talking to her anymore... My first real friend on here was actually mintykyu and we're still in contact :)


13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?

As the main author, I have 14 stories, 9 of them are complete. But many more are planned (especially with the help of friends).

17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?

Currently probably 5/10? It used to be a 10/10, but currently there are weeks when I don't come to visit at all and other weeks when I go on every day.


18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?

Writing (or at least intending to do so). I also chat with people and read.


19. How do you spend most of your karma points?

I don't spend them...


20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)

I hope I will have enough karma points one day to advertise! But Kpop merch would be awesome, too!!!


21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?

No, I haven't.


22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?

I haven't done this either.


23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?

i like pretty much everything. :)


24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?

When I first tried the latest layout, it wouldn't save the story automatically, so that's something I preferred a lot about the old layout. I don't know if it has been fixed, though...


25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?

More tags! Haha! It happens so often I'm running out of tag space but still have a few more things I'd like to use.


26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.

I guess under other circumstances I might go for blue as well, but somehow AFF belongs in green to me... I'd love to see the old layout again, I remember I really liked it a lot!


27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

-UglyPinkMachine-, Angel110, and mintykyu (even though she's hardly ever on here...) I guess I can also count LoveToCreatexox, even though I'm mainly talking to her on RPR and not here.


28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?

I guess it would be really nice to get to know my commenters better.


29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?

Obviously, I'm really grateful for my subscribers and even more for my commenters. They've always kept me going, even though I wish I had more people commenting... Nevertheless I'm grateful for the ones who do comment.
I'm also very grateful for mintykyu because when we first started talking in April, that is because I've made a blog post and she was the first to answer. It was simply me asking questions about America and she answered all of them as good as she could. Somehow we've never stopped talking since then..
Angel110, because she was a great help corrupting me :P I don't think I would have really gotten into the world of roleplaying if it hadn't been for her. She was also one of the people who made me join RPR.
I'm also grateful for MyeolchiHyuk because lately she's comment on every single one of my chapters and that really motivates me. Thank you so much!
I'm also thankful to all the authors who decide to share their stories and creativity on here. Without you guys, this place would be really boring! You're great to talk to and give everyone a huge variety to indulge ourselves in. Thank you very much!


30. Who are your AFF inspirations?

Currently they're Troublemaker and -UglyPinkMachine- :D Troublemaker simply give way to a lot of ideas and possibilties you don't have with other OTPs. And -UglyPinkMachine- are the greatest writing partners I've ever had. They come up with a lot of ideas as well and our mindsets are just so similar... I'm grateful to live in the same village they do because it makes meeting up easy a lot of times and we can share our creativity. We're also working on a huge story right now that I hope many people will like!


31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?

For me, that would be Too Late. It's an EunHae fanfic I've kept going since 2012. If I wasn't as lazy as I am, I should go over it again because there are a lot of typos in it, things I phrased incorrectly because I was (and am) still learning. But this story means a lot to me. It's also my longest one.


32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?

I really like "Unstable" by kieligirl. It was also one of the first fanfics I've ever read and I can recommend it to anyone who's into and also some angst and romance. It is very well and clear written and just perfect!
I also really like a handful of LadyVamp's fanfics like "Seoul Society" or "Rock Star Dreams" (sadly, she's never finished the latter).
And definitely "Trace Of Your Smile" by ELLYxLoVe22. The story is sweet and perfect and exciting.


33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?

Since I read fanfics from quite a few authors (and lately don't read a lot in the first place), I can't really answer this one... I think it's much easier to answer the 'favorite stories' question!


34. If you could put a star on another user's fics/threads, which one would you pick?

I couldn't decide whether to pick "Unstable" or "Trace Of Your Smile". Both of them are plainly wonderful!


35. If you could have any username you want, what would that be? (Did someone already take the username you wanted?)

I was thinking about changing my username to "Evelyn-Everdeen" instead because that's the name I usually use on the internet, but a dear friend told me to stick to "Evelyn-Chan", so that's what I'm doing. I'm very happy with my username. :)


36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?

Perfectly Imperfect. Because no matter how good you are, not everyone will really like it as much as you want them to. So it may seem perfect to one person and bad to another. Plus, I believe the majority of the people here are still (and maybe always will be) in the process of improving their writing. Something that may have seemed perfect then will seem imperfect soon and yet oftentimes we keep those stories up.


37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?

There actually is none... (I'm having a boring but happy life on here :D )


38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?

Meeting Angel110 and mintykyu! I think both of them will be friends for a lifetime.
This site also gave me the chance to improve my writing.


39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)

My OTPs have become more and I've started getting into more and more bands while I was here.


40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?

I would like to try the designing or coding sometime, but so far I'm still leaving that up to others who are much better at it than I am and, if necessary, go visity a shop. ^^


41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?

That old things matter and real life not always just as much. I meet people on here who want to throw away old stories because they think they're bad or because they feature OTPs who are not possible in real life anymore (for example because Kibum and Hangeng have left Super Junior, because Super Junior's Sungmin got married, because Tao, Kris, and Luhan have left EXO, because Kai and Krystal are a couple now...). But I think there are always people out there who might still be interested. To me, even if someone leaves a band, they are still in a way part of that band. And fantasy should not be bound to those kinds of things. I wouldn't delete my account here or my stories because even if I may not come back to AFF someday, there might still be people interested in my stories, find motivation in them... I don't know. But I would never delete anything here and I hope for somany others that they won't either.


42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?

My few stories? Or maybe the comments? I think it would rather be the comments...


43. What are your current AFF goals?

That maybe one day people on here will know my name, just like 'LadyVamp' is a name everyone seems toknow. But I'm not sure if my goal will ever come true.


44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?

I think it would be cool if people could meet up in certain towns in the countries they're from. But if all members could make it... Then I think Seoul would be good because many fanfics here are about Korean idols. Plus, it's close to Japan and China. On the other hand, the US would also be good, because the majority of the people here know English, so it would be easier finding our way around, and I think, judging by the countries people are from, the biggest part is from the US (already simply because it's such a huge country).


45. AFF is celebrating it's 7th year and is continuing to grow thanks to our admin, Jason. Do you have a message for him?

Thank you very much for still finding time to take care of this website and for having created it in the first place. AFF means a lot to me and I'm very grateful it exists and I am able to be a part of it. Thank you for fighting for AFF and for not giving up on it.
