I feel like I need to let out some of my emotions concerning this matter, so I guess I'll start by trying to sort out my messy feelings here.

I first became a Kpop fan through Bigbang and 2NE1's music, then starting to fall in love with other YG artists as well as listening to other groups' music. I am now a proud Kpop fan, although I still remain loyal to YG Entertainment (as you can see from the fanfics I've written so far at AFF hahaha). Yes, as a VIP-Blackjack, there has been numerous disheartening moments, including outbreaks of scandals, unending hiatuses, and never-ending waiting for the return of our idols.

However, nothing compares to hearing the devastating news of Minzy leaving 2ne1. It is such a shock that I'm still unable to accept it. I would have expected this from SM or other agencies (sorry if I offend anyone with this statement, but after seeing the leaving of members in DBSK, Super Junior, EXO, f(x), Girls Generation...well, I stand by my statement), but never, ever from YG, who I had believed to love and value their artists like family. As most YG fans know already, in order to produce the best of the best music, artists and fans alike have to endure longer periods of waiting than others. When Seven and Gummy left YG, I was as heartbroken as anyone else, because YG family actually did mean FAMILY to me. But to speak from their perspective, if I was a celebrity that could not put out music or works, I would be very frustrated and wanting to find an agency that can promise me that. So I understand and respect their decisions.

I admit Minzy is not my bias, but I love 2ne1 as a four-member group, because without any one of them, they would not be 2ne1 or reach the status they have reached today. I love Dara, CL, and Bom, but without Minzy, 2ne1 ceased to be 2ne1 to me, and YG is no longer the warm, caring family I had believed it was. I wish all of the girls, including Minzy, nothing more than the best for their future, but I am no less heartbroken at this news.
