What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.

Last March 20, I asked you guys for suggestions on how we can celebrate AFF's 7 years. aleric (another cactus) came up with this idea because it seems like AFFers love doing this tagged quizzes so what better way to spread the happiness, right?

BECAUSE... Oh yeah, I'm a member of team cactus. Not going to tell you~

Five years and six months. I'll turn six on September ^^

It was black and white, and the AFF logo has swirlies in them.
6. How did you find AFF?
Google search of course. I have encountered anime fanfics first. And I had no idea kpop fanfics exist until a facebook friend posted a Leeteuk (Super Junior) fanfic in her notes some time in June 2010. This opened up a whole new world for me as I started searching for Super Junior fanfics in facebook. Most of those I found were written in script form with blanks in place of OC names. It's not what I'm used to reading so I asked google. I was specifically looking for Super Junior fanfics and it led me to several blogs in Blogger and Live Journal. AFF wasn't the number one search result at the time. So I was just happy to have stumbled upon it three months later (September 26, 2010) in another one of my searches.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
I mentioned in #6 that I found AFF because I was looking for Super Junior fanfics to read. But during that time, I was also writing my first Donghae fanfic. I was too shy to post it in my facebook so I contemplating on creating a blog for my fanfics, until I stumbled upon AFF. I didn't have to think hard becauseI finally found a place where I can 1) read kpop fanfics 2) post my own kpop fanfics here and most importantly, 3) remain anonymous.

10. What was the first story you read on here?
I checked my subscriptions list and the first one I subscribed to was Boss Nichiren's Zero Day Diaries. That can't be it. I'm pretty sure that it's a Super Junior fic, a oneshot, I'm positive.
11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?
SUJU4LIFE. She gave me my first comment ever in AFF haha. Back then we didn't have the reply feature in comments,so I replied by posting a comment in my own fic.
12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
sthyme. We talk whenever she drops by here. I confess that I'm not good in keeping contact with people once they leave AFF.
13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?

I came up with this question (self-serving question) and it's because I want to have an AFF KPOP MERCHANDISE STORE where we exchange our kp with goodies.
21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?
YES, just recently. All of them BTS music videos. I should have done so years ago when you could get kp by posting a video in the gallery.
22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
YES. My first time was chaotic. (The tagbox was chaotic too though if you're not used to several people talking at the same time). I haven't frequented it lately and the last time I visited, I didn't recognize any of the cbox users... And you know how easily you get ignored when they are busy talking to each other ^^
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?

24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
At the moment, it's the story upvote feature. This is confusing for me too because I have nothing against that feature until it was manipulated by authors and upvote shops to rig our feature system. At least before, I am certain that the featured fics are actually liked and read by many. So maybe my least favorite thing in AFF are upvote shops and it's customers xD I don't know how we could change people's minds, convince them not to use upvote shops or create these shops because what weighs more is their goal to be featured.
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
(Did we really decide on just one, aleric? Pahaha!) The multiple-delete button/option for wall posts. I'm a sentimental person and deleting is very hard for me to do. But this would be extremely helpful for users who were spammed ^^
(I also want the delete option in pms, delete a single pm and not the entire thread. Oh and a TAG CLEANER - if there is such a thing - to delete misspelled tags, redundant tags haha. Also an option for shop owners to mark their shops/threads as OPEN/ACCEPTING requests and for users to be able to filter those shops that are OPEN/ACCEPTING)
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
Currently using the default blue theme. I like the black and white and green themes too.
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?

29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
kpopartory (poptart) - She's my enabler. She supports everything that I do here in AFF. I would have tried them nonetheless, but it's nice to have a friend who is always there.

BAHAHA. Imma keep it to myself because if I mention it and you recognized who it was I was talking about then... well.
38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
My creativity was unleashed. Having an outlet or a place to dump everything I create or attempt to create and have like-minded people support me encouraged me to create more, to improve.
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
Yes. I started with writing, than dabbled on a bit of poetry, played with Photoshop as I learned to make graphics and gifs (which is vital during my kiliel shipping phase), coded simple HTML layouts for the Layout Market. Now I'm into polymer clay sculpting, watercolor painting and coloring ^0^ From SuJu to BigBang to EXO and at the moment, BTS, Winner and Mamamoo.
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
Then it's between the applyfic and roleplay communities for me...aha... (aish, don't get me started with a new activiry >_<) Applyfic I guess.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
Being an AFFer taught me how to deal with different characters; to be more accepting and empathetic. I could say that AFF helped build my character.
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
My AFF guides ^^; (I know I helped a lot with them)

43. What are your current AFF goals?
To update KIS every month, to finish CC this year or as soon as possible... to write more because I haven't been doing any writing lately -_-

In a cruise ship! This ship would dock in all the ports of the world and our last stop is South Korea.
