cha seongmi is a bubbly female and she's always pretty cheerful. it might be due to her young age or her youthful nature acting up, but she's extremely energetic and happy, and is always there to lift up the mood. her liveliness often brings excitement into a room, and her social nature always gets everyone talking. it's easy for her to talk to people, even people she doesn't know, and making friends comes easily to her because of this. she's pretty outgoing and people ask her how she knows so many people, but the answer lies in her friendly and social nature. though she indeed comes from a rich family, seongmi doesn't flaunt it off at all. she's a rather modest person, and is pretty humble about herself. she doesn't talk about her finances publicly and she doesn't exactly go around seoul declaring "i'm a rich gangnam girl!", and instead prefers to keep it on the downlow. seongmi is pretty obedient though; she listens to her mom and dad and doesn't do anything against their orders. she listens to orders pretty easily, and her brother likes to playfully call her a "good dog" because of that, regrettably enough.

however, cha seongmi is quite an indecisive girl. she's pretty picky about what she wants, so choosing something can get pretty difficult for her. even in a restaurant, she usually only sticks to things she's familiar with, so when she saw that she wasn't familiar with anything on the capteavating menu, it was kinda shocking for her - and honestly, she had the hardest time choosing something until seokjin came along and helped her out. seongmi is also a very competitive person, and tends to think of everything as a competition, whether it be a sporting event or something academically. that's probably why she scores so highly in school, but even then, there's one person that she had never been able to beat: her brother. he was better at her than everything and was probably the foundation for her overcompetitive nature, but even up to this day, seongmi is a pretty competitive gal. she tends to be inconsiderate as well. since she grew up with a golden spoon in and there's also the fact that she never heard a "no" when she was growing up, she doesn't exactly pay attention to other's feelings as much. her main focus in on her own, and she inconveniences others a lot, quite frankly. if she was cold, she would demand for someone's jacket; if she was unhappy, she would make someone cheer her up; regardless of what someone else felt, the only thing she'd be concerned about would be her own feelings. also, due to the fact that she'd always been babied, seongmi is quite dependent with others. she relies on others for emotional and physical support and depends on other people to do things for her, instead of her doing it herself, and overall, just isn't independent at all.

SEONGMI GREW UP AS A PRIVILEGED CHILD, AND SHE NEVER HEARD A "NO" WHILE GROWING UP, so now she's slightly spoiled and throws a tantrum whenever she doesn't get her way. although her childhood was quite boring, she can proudly tell you that she can toot a good tune on a flute and slap a good melody off of a violin because of her parents putting her into music school, even though she quit in middle school, but that's not really an achievement when her brother was better than at her at everything and her parents always paid more attention to him because of that... no, she's not jealous... pff, why would she be? seongmin is seongmi's older brother and he's the one that always overshadows her. he's smarter than her, incredibly more talented, and he's just plain perfect. seongmi gets a little salty that he receives all the love from her relatives, and she always feels like she's in his shadow, and feels a competitive edge to be better at him in something. despite that, they share a pretty decent relationship and even though they don't look that much alike usually, their weird faces look exactly the same. / fc: yoo kihyun

when seongmi first met mei, she was terrified of her; she was quite blunt and somewhat astigmatic, and seongmi had never met a japanese unni before, so she was kinda intimidated by her?? but after getting to understand her more, seongmi realized that she was kinda bad at talking to girls and now, seongmi tries to make conversation with her, but then it ends awkwardly most of the time, whoops.
kim seokjin (18), the beacon of light
when seongmi first came to capteavating, she was perusing the menu because she got hungry, and after telling him that she didn't know what to get three times already, he suggested the green tea frappe and the kimchi carbonara. she was a little iffy about it, but ordered it and loved it. after that, she always talked to him about her problems or whatever because he's just such a great dude.
kim namjoon (18), cool idiot??
he's one of the oldest boys, but he is actually super embarrassing - it's not even real how embarrassing he can be. namjoon tends to make silly jokes and starts silly conversations, but then he'll start saying dumb things and let's not mention that he's prone to breaking things easily?? he's just a mess, but that's okay because we all are - and it's ok because seongmi thinks he's interesting to talk to.
min yoongi (18), rip is he dead or sleeping
seongmi first thought that he was kinda aloof and standoffish when she first met him, so she didn't particularly like him, but as time went on, she kinda realized that he was just super lazy like wtf yoongi. other than that, they're not really close, but at least he knows her name right?
jung hoseok (18), bless his heart
aside from his lame puns and the ugly faces he makes when he eats, seongmi thinks that he's a really cool guy. she loves hanging out with him because he's just really chill and he always makes everything fun, so how could you not love him? when seongmi has nothing to say, hoseok really knows how to bring up a topic that gets the conversation going.
park jimin (17), omg how can you eat so much,,,
every single day seongmi's at capteavating, she just wonders how jimin can just eat so dang much. maybe it's puberty or maybe he's just having an after school snack, but seongmi can never see him without food out of his mouth. other than that, seongmi enjoys his presence because wtf he's just one of a kind - in a good way, of course.
kim taehyung (17), spontaeneous
seongmi can't seem to understand taehyung whenever he's being spontaenous, but most of the time, he's pretty funny, so seongmi just goes along with it. he's an enjoyable guy to be around and even though he acts like an idiot sometimes, taehyung is actually a pretty smart dude that helps seongmi with her work sometimes (but most of their relationship is just seongmi half-crying, half-laughing at taehyung).

PERSONALITY jungkook, despite his young age, is an independent guy that everyone loves. his friendly nature is like a warm welcome, and making friends comes easily to him because he's just so relatable to everyone. he's an observant person and he can easily make out when someone isn't feeling good, and bless his kind heart, because he always tries to cheer them up or talk to them about their problems. he's always there for everyone, even if he's not exactly close with them. he tends to be quite reserved himself, though, and doesn't like talking about himself all too much, so he's a little "mysterious," per say. he's also prideful, since he just knows that he's good at everything, and because of that, jungkook tends to get a little overcompetitive at times - and when he loses, he usually sulks by himself for a while.

history seongmi and jungkook had a relatively interesting meeting, to say the least. truth be told, seongmi was interested in jungkook; not because he was cute, but because he seemed to have so much fun with the apgujeong boys at capteavating, and seongmi wondered what it would've been like to hang out with them. she first went to capteavating for its good music and nice dishes and drinks, but then she saw the apgujeong boys, and it's now become an interesting hobby to see how they interact whenever she's taking a break from her homework. they seemed like they were having so much fun and seongmi was slightly jealous; she wanted to have fun too. despite that, she just got back to homework because she thought it would be weird if she suddenly butted in and tried to join in their fun, so she just watched them from her table because it was just funny to see their antics. however, one day, she spotted him in the grocery store, and she was about to say hi and introduce herself until she stopped and realized that she was wearing day-old mascara and just threw on the first thing she saw, a.k.a. she looked frumpy as heck. seongmi awkwardly backed away, but then someone tapped on her shoulder, and when she looked back, it was a round guy that looked like he was 30, and seongmi was freaked. what the heck was he doing tapping her shoulder? well, it was a mistake to back away from the capteavating stranger because the first thing that the round teletubby said was, "wow sorry to be a creep, but you're very beautiful." seongmi uttered out a "haha thanks....." and walked away to the vegetable section, just in case she needed to beat him with asparagus, and welp, would you look at that, the teletubby followed her.

"uhh... no i'm with my boyfriend." omgomg i don't have a boyfriend pls.

and that's when seongmi randomly grabbed the person next to her, and whoops, it just so happened to be jungkook, who was holding a head of lettuce in his arms. having a random girl grab onto his arm shocked him, but before he could say "what are you doing?", seongmi blurted out, "this is my boyfriend, so leave me alone!" the round teletubby awkwardly apologized and walked away, leaving seongmi standing awkwardly next to jungkook. she apologized for using him to be her fake boyfriend, and he just goodnaturedly accepted it, and before seongmi could turn around and leave, he asked, "hey don't you go to capteavating?" seongmi was shocked that he recognized her because she didn't particularly do much there and she didn't even realize that he noticed her, but she nodded anyways. after a large grin and a "oh, i thought i knew you from somewhere!" from jungkook, he introduced himself and seongmi did the same. after that encounter, seongmi went to capteavating the next day, and instead of sitting at her usual table alone, jungkook joined her with a big smile, and even though it shocked her, she didn't exactly hate it... it was quite the opposite actually.
relationship out of all the apgujeong boys, it's no surprise that seongmi is the closest with jungkook. it might be because of their previous encounter or the fact that they're both first years, but seongmi feels a lot more comfortable talking to him than the others, but that's probably because jungkook is so easy to talk to, also. after having small chat at her usual table, jungkook was quick to introduce seongmi to his friends, whom she somewhat got along with quickly ("who knows, they're kinda crazy.") though they aren't particularly close, jungkook and seongmi feel close enough to wave to each other whenever the other enters the cafe, but seongmi never dares venture off from her usual table to sit near him, though she's not sure why. usually, she'd be quite friendly and mingle with people she had just met, but with jungkook, she felt awkward and never dared to go up to him. however, jungkook started dragging seongmi to where he and his group usually sits, and tries to include her in the conversations as well. seongmi clicked with everyone pretty well, despite the awkward moments, and slowly, she started ignoring her usual table and instead, wandered off to where they happened to be.
after a brief while, seongmi found it easy to talk to all of the boys because they are all just so nice and funny, especailly jungkook. the pair clicked when she forgot about her awkwardness, and after jungkook got her kakao, it just spiraled from there. truth be told, she had never felt so close to someone in such a short time the way she felt with jungkook. he just had a way of making someone feel like they could open up to him, and seongmi liked it a lot. after a long day including her perfect brother and her imperfect self, she messaged jungkook and ranted about everything: how perfect her brother was, how she felt like she was his shadow, how she wonders if she could ever catch up to him, etc. it seems like jungkook is good at everything because he listened to her intently and offered some advice (which warmed seongmi's heart honestly). his advice didn't seem to strike a chord with seongmi, mostly because she didn't really understand the "he's not as perfect as you think he is, you know?" talk. what does he mean her brother isn't perfecT? Has he even met her brother? seongmi was surprised at his question, and at first she answered with a "lies!" very loudly, but after time progresses, she slowly starts to see that her brother really isn't the genius that she previously thought him as. it might've been jungkook who opened her eyes (but who is she kidding, he definitely was the one to open her eyes to the truth), but seongmi felt shocked. how could her brother, who was so good at everything, happen to not be good at everything? seongmi was having a crisis, but luckily for her, jungkook was pretty supportive and checked up on her constantly. it was funny to seongmi; even though jungkook was the same age as her, she never realized how mature he was until then. it was actually kind of strange, but very endearing in a way.
after her whole brother ordeal, which allowed seongmi to be more self-aware, the pair have become really close. however, seongmi often became bashful towards jungkook, and even more so the closer they got. for some reason, he just looked so cute and he was so easy to talk to, and he was such a helpful person, and what's not perfect about him? seongmi didn't want to think of him as "perfect," like how she thought of her brother, but it was true; jungkook was perfect in every way, and oh goodness what is this intense beating from her heart whenever she sees him? (but yes, they end up together!)

questions & comments hello hello cries i feel like the quality of my apps have like plummeted?? idk maybe it's just in my head,,, sweats,, but i hope you appreciate the icons that i found of the bts members and i hope you like my changes to the layout hehe. tbh i feel like i was all over the place w this app but yolo right?? cries im a mess rn but i hope you like seongmi?? idk i tried to make her a cute lil kid that's like,,, unaware to her lil' flaws and she's like a shadow to her brother??? cause she's always had everything in life so she never had to be self-aware i guess welp. so i think that meeting the apgujeong boys (esp jungkook) has made her more aware of herself bc idk like their presence just makes her think about herself a lot (like why am i friends with them? why do they like hanging out with me? stuff like that) and idk i would like for her to realize that her brother isn't perfect at everything and seongmi was just jealous of him bc he seemed like he was, if that makes sense??????
