Girl Groups: Innocent or Creepy Ageplay?

Hey. So I was looking through this article (don't u ask about my title i did that bc yay i can actually do cool article names :D) and I saw many interesting points on there. Many us, as K-Pop fans, have constantly shed light on, whether it be through contributions like articles or comments on YouTube. The infamous: y vs. Innocent. Which one do you usually prefer? I could honestly care less, as long as the song is good, then it's an A+ for me!

But what do you think? In 2015 we got many girl groups debut with a innocent concept. Last year, there was many girl groups that I didn't not follow through debut, but the ones that did have 'innocent' concepts.

Some I can give you are: GFriend, April and Oh My Girl. All of which have debut with an innocent concept.

And I am going to be blunt with you. I did not listen to their singles. Mainly because I didn't want to (but I did? I really just kept forgetting!) but I did look at GFriend's. Everyone has the idea that they get their first single, Glass Bead, from one of my favourite group's, Girls' Generation. There are many similarities, but I did liek Glass Bead, but their album was not my cup of tea, nor was their last two singles. I have not looked at April or Oh My Girl but I do like their music videos (from what I've seen). They seem interesting!

I always seem to fall hard for girl groups. I love girl groups. It doesn't even matter if they stick to one concept, or do both. I tend to like both.

But what I tend to befall on is Girl Groups in school uniforms. And school uniforms usually indicate that whoever is wearing them is probably in high school or is playing off as one.

There are so many girl groups that have done the 'school uniform' concept. I could name a few.

But there are some I am iffy on. My favourite girl group is Apink, and they've obviously done school uniforms:

But what bothered me the most was f(x) and Red Velvet.

SM has never really been one for putting out their younger idols. Krystal was only ualized (a bit) in Chocolate Love, their collab with SNSD (which I would've made f(x) do the cuter concept and SNSD do the y one. Come on! Only Victoria was over 18!) but not really after that. Yeri is not (totally) ualized, however, Automatic is a bit of debate. At least she wasn't in Be Natural, right?

I tried thinking on when did these groups have worn school uniforms for their official music video concepts.

This wasn't totally official, but they are in school uniforms.

I am quite sure these are school uniforms. But Victoria and Amber are setting me off. \

And I am not really sure if I should call these school uniforms or sailor suits? It seems most likely to be sailor suits since their logo is quite 'sailor-esque' but I am not sure.

The only ones that have that I can actually tell you is 2NE1. But I am not totally sure. Huge doubt on myself. And yes, even 4minute has done it.

Unless this is not 4minute. I can't see that well because it's not high resolution.

I was thinking EXID, but they have worn school uniform style clothing, and I'm not sure if it should be counted. It wasn't official and LE doesn't seem to be but the others sure do.

Well, whatever. School uniforms (I think) look really cute, especially the school uniform style. And we can't stop erts from thinking weird things. As long as they don't act upon it.

However, as a challenge, I would like you to find a group (other than 2NE1) that has never done a school uniform concept! Or if possible, find 2NE1 wearing school uniforms! Just put a link the comments.

I also found this photo while looking for Red Velvet photos:

basically , i don't really care or follow the flows and recent debut of any groups but i have to say Red Velvet is a group that gives out the vibe of every side , still waiting for them to show their dark/hiphop style.

girl groups... this is just my personal opinion, but I've never particularly liked a lot of the more innocent concepts that they do... there's nothing wrong with doing innocent schoolgirl concepts and stuff like that, but I would prefer something else... I prefer y concepts to cute concepts and above all, I think I would like it a lot better if girl groups could have actual, hardcore dances to go with their songs? not that some of their dances aren't tiring and don't require a lot of talent, but I would like to see more girl groups have harder dances that don't involve them dancing in heels... maybe the concepts that bts, got7, and vixx do? or something similar?

Hey.. You are so right.. I dont I ever saw 2ne1 wear school uniforms.. They dont necessarily fit the ideal student concept, more like the opposite, but not in a very bad way.

Whatever.. They are still the only girl group I like and I miss them a lot. Sorry I couldn't really contribute, girl groups aren't really my thing.
