How K-pop Takes Over My Mind

Okay, thanks to 2-3 years of k-pop and spending most of my summer vacation listening to k-pop, it has officially taken over a large portion (at least 70%) of my mind.

Now, every time I hear anything k-pop related in any (repeat-ANY) way, I get a mental image of whatever.

A good example is a series that I'm sorta obsessed with, the Lunar Chronicles. One of the main male characters is named KAI for god's sake, KAI. Okay, his full name is Kaito, but STILL. And he's a PRINCE-wait, no- EMPEROR. If you read the first book he basically fits the description! Now I can't read the books without picturing him in some prince outfit with a mandarin collar! (He's emperor of future Asia) And then I unconsciously picture his love interest to look like a female version of Kyungsoo, sorry not sorry.

Another one is when someone mentions a word, any word at all, and I automatically think of a k-pop song. For example, if someone shouts "hey, everybody" SHINee comes on. "I'm really scared of thunder" EXO. "Well if you do-"GOT7.

See what I mean? And ESPECIALLY when my friend told me Korean girls who were living with her temporarily kept showing her k-pop videos. I never felt more frustrated in my life.

"They kept showing me k-pop videos. One of them had WAY too many girls in bikinis dancing. I didn't like it, but the song got stuck in my head."-best friend.

Again. Frustrated.

What about you? Have any moments when k-pop took over you're head?
