yunseo tends to venture deep into his thoughts to which he seems detached, and often actually is oblivious to the world around him. he never really shares his thoughts and when he does, they are not fully developed and thus people always misunderstand him.
he analyzes everything and he is especially fond of figuring out people and their emotions. due to his analytical nature, some people think yunseo's concern is not genuine and that he has an ulterior motive. he himself is not sure of his genuineness for all he knows is that people fascinates him.
albeit the fact that he loves people, he doesn't seem open and friendly due to his pensiveness. thus people often feel as though he holds them at a distance. he might come across as cold and unfeeling to some when he knows that it is not the truth and he has always had this seething anger in him that he is afraid of showing.
he is amenable to pretty much anything despite how he seems to be. he is willing to put up with bull and is a little too trustful, maybe naive.
he prefers to talk about things within his interests and could talk about them for hours but as he is relatively easy-going, he would try to involve himself in talks that don't particularly interest him and entertain his friends.
he would listen to his friends and try to provide emotional support to them but he himself never confides in anybody. he prefers to put a deaf ear to his internal struggles and focuses on something else. some people doesn't trust him due to their lack of information of him.

history : lee yunseo was a people-pleaser all his life. some found him useful, some found him pathetic. but he has always found humans and their emotions and habits interesting. he predicted what would one do in certain situations and he was always right about his hypothesis and theories that none of his experiments thus far went far beyond his expectation. as succulent as they were, they were fleeting. he noticed there were dark feelings inside him but he knew where and how to find his solace. he once found himself losing to the feelings inside him, he ended up hurting something aside from himself. it was then that he was convinced that he was a monster and that he should not ever resurface again.

background :
[ exposure ] he is afraid of the idea of exposing his raw, unfiltered self. he has all this thoughts he thinks is not acceptable by people around him - hence the fact that he never really voices out his true feelings but some pieces of them. he hides his seething wrath in himself, not wanting it to come out as it would push people away from him and leads him to isolation and rejection.
as much as he fears the exposure of the boiling rage in him, he could not hold himself for a long time. he would have to isolate himself from the others and find a place to comfort himself. by comforting himself, he means punching some walls, smashing things up, breaking things down, wailing and screaming like a mad man and he won't stop until he hurts someone - and most of time, it's himself.
he is not comfortable in his skin. he hates the feeling of leaving his skin bare, afraid that people would see the bruises and scars he inflicted on his body and know about the monster he tried so hard to lock away.
[ the unknowns ] he fears the feeling of unknowing. it is known that human beings are as complex as they can be, therefore he tries to crack people and their emotions so that he would be able to calculate and know what to anticipate from people.
owing it to the fear, he dislikes surprises and he would lose his mind and panics when things don't go the way he expected them to be. the fear stems the fascination he has for people and the analytical nature in him, to get himself away from it.
[ moths and butterflies ] he finds them beautiful indeed, from afar. their beauty terrifies him when they come near. he is afraid of their uncertain trails in the air, the sudden death which comes upon them. how they could be robbed of their wings with a single swing of death, with a single flick, with a single step, with a little force - how the wings were ripped off their home, falling to the gravitation demand - slow, painful, frightening.
he remembers how lost they looked when a second before they were flying without a care and then they're no longer moving to their accord. he was called a fool for fearing to such beauty, but they know nothing of the feelings he had when he saw the death of the beauties. they do not know how he feared an ugly soul like him would be dying and feeling a greater pain than the beautiful butterflies.
friends : yunseo would be the one to initiate bonds with people. he would ask about their interests and talk about them while mentally noting them in his head for the hidden profiles he has of his friends.

COMMENTARY
process : the core idea was someone who loves analyzing people but is distant from them. i'm not sure what happened - i feel like i was just sewing some patches of cloth on a blanket and now it looks like a rug. i hope he is understandable and real lol idk
