You know... I used to be like that too. In the begining, compared to others, I'm lacking a lot of stuff and I felt that no one actually enjoyed my stories. I was discouraged and stopped for a while and I thought that was it. That is the end of my "author/writer" life but after a while when I look back what I posted, I just realized something.
I didnt start for people to like or read my stories, I started because I like writing and I want to improve my writing skill. That why I start writing fanfic and started to post.
I didn't start to be a trend or to be appreciated, I started because I like to share my imaginations with others.
I didnt start to make people read my stories but because I want to read the kind of stories I'm writing and since no one writes it, I write it.
Though I understand, you want the comments so that you'll know what actually you did wrong or so that you know what or how to improve but I think its important to know why you actually started writing.
Maybe you just need a break and think to make you realize you are actually doing things for yourself instead of pleasing others.
Don't give up too easily and I promise when I'm free, I'll try and visit your page for your stories.

I would like to thank you for always supporting my fanfics for a long period of time. Although, I did not read your fanfic before. However, I would like to say stick with your passion and continue to preserve.

Similarly, I gave up in the middle because I felt that no one has been reading, commenting and subbing my story. I came to a point that I started doubting myself, "Am I a bad writer or is my story plot to lousy?" But, in between, I realized that I have so many imaginations and plots that just appears in my mind. Inside my mind, I always have a thought that I would want to share with other people about this.

I even wanted to start fresh by writing at other platforms. But, I found out that I still love writing at AsianFanfics because this is the place where I started. It is understandable that the lack of support and feedback will cause discouragement and it may even cause you not to write anymore.

After the long hiatus, I came back and start writing stories again. I was so conscious with the statistic segment. It led me upset and even the drop of confident. Slowly, the same old thoughts reappeared again.

At the end, I came into a final recall that when I started writing stories here in Asianfanfics, I didn't even thought that I would have so many supportive readers that liked my stories. What makes me wrote stories is because the liking of sharing my imagination and creativity. Now, if no one reads my stories, I would still continue to write because this is what I like to do and I believe one day someone who is browsing through would appreciate them.

Therefore, I hope that you would continue to persevere if this is what you like to do. I am not a good writer because of language wise and there are many flaws of my story that make me feel short than others. Nonetheless, my likings and interests for creating stories and thinking out of the box will always be there.

I agree with CaptSunRiser. We write because we enjoy writing. It doesn't matter what others think about it. Of course it's encouraging when others do but what matters most is the joy you get from penning your creative ideas and imagination on paper. I've written countless stories but have only published one so far. I could probably have gone on just writing without publishing any and still be happy. Don't ever give up if writing is your passion. Also, there are reviewers on AFF if you think that would help your stories. Keep writing!

I ask this of every person that writes and wants to quit. Do you enjoy writing? Forget about whether others enjoy reading them or subscribing or commenting on them, do YOU enjoy writing them? Why? Think about why you started writing, because you had no readers then. Nobody read your stories, so there had to be a reason for you to start. I started writing because I like writing. Now, my stories are not terrible, but I don't feel they are worthy of publishing with an agency. But I love writing them and I love reading them back. Sometimes, I read them and I get immersed into the story as well. I have had people read them and not like them. One person even said that one of my stories was boring, but what interested them was a psychological aspect of it; watching human behaviour. I read one of her stories and found that what she liked was more psychological stuff, and the story she had read was more science fiction and fantasy, so her comment made sense. Not everyone will like what you write, it's a fact of life. But the person who NEEDS to be satisfied with what you write is YOU. Others can give positive feedback and that's great, and there will be negative feedback too, but if you're not happy with writing as yourself, and you're not happy with what you write as yourself, then we have a problem. Like any creative process, it will take time, and time will make you better at it. There were stories I wrote a long time ago that were terrible. But my love for writing has never stopped because I love the Universe I have created. That's what you need to do - you love that Universe. If others do, or if they don't, that's up to them, but you need to.

Just don't stop writing okay...take a rest for a while to calm yourself.. You're very talented writer...trust me..okay:)don't give up... Hwaiting!!!

Writing is for fun .. is a way to pen down your imagination .. there is no stress about it .. If someone like your story it is always a bonus and you strive to do better .. if no one like your story, it a lesson learnt but still it is your story and you will strive to do better. :) This is for fun and laughter, our life don't depend on it. If you want, pen your ideas down and get someone to review your english. It's a great learning experience :)

Dont feel so down. Take some time off for yourself . You can rest and always come back again. Writting is a creative process so it takes time. Just dont give up :)
