LJ has a nicer format, and I still prefer it, but AFF's community is more willing to comment, and it shows me that people actually read what I post, whereas I often feel like my LJ posts are totally ignored, even if I know people are reading - because LJ's community doesn't tend to comment as much.

I don't know. Even though I still prefer LJ for presentation and formatting, I'm very much enjoying posting to AFF.
