Prom Dress Problems

So I want this dress for prom are theme is "The Great Gatsby" I figured I could add jewerly to make it look like that decade but I`m not so sure about it anymore. I feel like a should be wearing a long formal dress but thats just not me. Also I only have 100$ to spend on a dress and formal dresses usually cost more than that. This dress is only 65$ and I could wear it after prom too because it`s pretty pratical. I just don`t know what to do...do you guys think that this dress will be okay? (sorry about my crappy spelling)

Honestly I don't feel like it matches the decade :/ shouldn't you try looking for a more retro style? This one is more what here we call etnich print, so it like a modern version of something traditional, wich isn't really Gatsbian to me :/ the dresses is okay though :)
