personality mei is the budding flowers, sun-kissed skies, the gentle breeze, and flourishing rain of the year. despite being a summer baby, she's a bouquet of spring. but with spring comes the boisterous storms, nervous new beginnings, teeming puddles, the soggy mud, and seasonal colds. just like spring, mei is a strong bundle of joy filled with verdant pros and ruffled cons.
at work, mei has a strong front gleaming of hardwork. although her customer service may not be as great as seokjin's, mei believes she does a decent job in treating her customers right with a smile oh-so bright. she does her best when it comes to cleaning tables and double checks for everything to be squeaky clean, making sure she delivers the right order to prevent complaints and a bad light on capteavating, and restocking items in the back so that the patissieres and baristas never run out of supplies. not a drop of mediocrity can be detected while mei is on duty. mei's hardwork also means retaining capteavating's loved atmosphere, which means often scolding the apgujeong high boys to be quiet. however, despite the relentless screaming at the boys who don't listen, she still takes care of them as she should with any customer. and even outside of capteavating, mei still takes care of them as any friend should (because she loves them).
outside of work, mei can be a very benevolent and friendly person. she enjoys talking to people a lot while putting a grin on her face. mei often rambles when she seems to be enjoying herself in a conversations. however, talking too much is a trait of hers that can be a turn off, especially with the girls she tries to befriend which results into Mei often feeling inferior and awkward towards girlS. it's a struggle, but mei pretends that it doesn't bother her. she's also quite astigmatic (figurativey) so she often refuses to hear any criticism about said trait and anything bad about herself. there's no point in telling her that she talks too much, because mei will shut you off.
other things about mei includes that she can be a little sly by tricking things to be the way she wants. whether it'd be getting in a fight and distracting you so she'd win, outsmarting you, or even a soft extent of blackmail, mei always finds a way. you don't want to buy her taiyaki? then mei will put your job in jeopardy by telling the boss you're the reason why the water bill went up after leaving the faucet on. she's very fond of getting what she wants, but it's pretty lowkey. nobody really knows of mei in such a light until you actually get to know her. she's also quite blunt and meddlesome. mei's blunt in the sense that she'll speak straight forwardly rude, yet she doesn't think it's wrong and feels as if she's only speaking her mind. mei also posses the ability to be meddlesome. (however, she's dense towards how that can shine ine a negative light). mei can be such due to the fact that she likes engaging in the relationships of others. although mei understands the relationships of others are not of her business, she still enjoys involving herself in them. it's not that mei has bad intentions, but rather, she's quite meddlesome because she just wants to help people improve their budding friendships and romantic relationships.
all in all, mei is quite a luminous girl, but she's a bulb with a flickering light.

lifestyle mei is usually on the brink of oversleeping. however, she does wake up and rush out of bed in order to make it to school on time. she commmutes to cheongdam high by foot since she lives by. mei is a very attentive and studious student at school. however, despite her a+ efforts, she's always pulling in a b+ grade. after school, she takes the bus to capteavating to work her usual 3pm-7PM shift. after she clocks out, mei takes the bus home to arrive just in time for dinner. she finishes up the night focusing on schoolwork and reading manga or catching up on anime.
capteavating order during her break, mei usually drinks a vanilla latte with an extra shot on weekdays and a house iced coffee on weekends. after her shift on sundays, she usually rewards herself with a mochi waffle.
background anju mei was born and raised in the city of tokyo, japan. specifically in shinagawa, tokyo to a cosmeotologist (papa anju) and a makeup artist (mama anju). before mei was born, papa anju had already been learning korean and studying in south korea in hopes of landing a job in south korea under a succesfful cosmetology group. luckily, that is what happened. the two anjus agreed to move to south korea once mei turned 3 in order for papa anju to follow his dream.
mei had a very pleassant time in japan. she grew up living with her mom, grandma, and grandpa under a roof in shinagawa, tokyo up until she was 3. mei's dad often visited when he could (birthdays, christmas, etc), however, he no longer had to visit once mei and mama anju moved to south korea with him.

mei's encounter with capteavating was... not fate. after seeing a cafe ad on tv during her first year of high school, mei set herself up on a journey to find a cafe in apgujeong that was hiring so she could receive some experiencing from working at a cafe and making that $$$ to open one up back home. she finally landed a job at capteavating where she'd have the experience of a lifetime.

kim namjoon / 18 / after seokjin and yoongi comes namjoon as the sanest out of the apguejong boys. mei finds his sophisticated outer layer and dorky inner layer quite quirky and easy to get along with. namjoon thinks neutrally of mei and thinks she's pretty fun to mess around with. they aren't total -buddies or anything, but they are on definite good terms.
jung, hoseok, 3rd YEAR

PERSONALITY the lively jung hoseok is well-known for his animated personality. he enjoys the brighter things in life and doesn't fail to show that through his smile. behind that layer of weird faces, energetic laughs, and cringe-worthy jokes, hoseok is actually a pretty reliable kid. he'll lift his friends up when they're feeling down. not only can he cheer everyone up with another hoseok-like-phrase, but he actually does know the right words to say when it comes to comforting others. deep down, hoseok just wants to be comforted too. he's a third year, meaning that the future is soon, and he hates change. the future is something that scares hoseok. however, he laughs it all away and treasures the fun memories he creates with his friends while he can. whether it be at school, capteavating, or anywhere really, hoseok just wants to have fun. hoseok also loves to dance, and in fact, attends a dance academy on weekends. he'll also sometimes spend his free time either practicing or watching videos of dance groups he's obsessed with (*cough*aca*cough*). hoseok is so much more than that giddy laugh in the back of the cafe, he's a talented person with a giant heart.

history mei knew of hoseok and hoseok knew of mei. well, of course, they'd know each other. i mean, he was a regular and she was an employee. the two began becoming more familiar with each other once the apgujeong high boys started joining in on seokjin and mei's conversations during their breaks and after their shifts. this is how they began becoming well-acquainted with each other. mei knew him as a rowdy kid apart of the apgujeong high boys. however, after talking to him, she began to realize that he was pretty funny and took an interest in dancing. hoseok never really had much of an impression of mei, other than the fact that she was seokjin's coworker. once he got to know her, hoseok discovered that she's a chatterbox who he could often get scolded by. he found her rather cute for that.

MIN, YOONGI, 3rd YEAR

PERSONALITY Lazy. lax. conservative of energy. sleepy. whatever's synonymous with lazy (you name it) can be used to describe min yoongi. he doesn't like exerting effort as he views it as a waste. however, when it comes to things yoongi does like, he'll definitely do his best to excel. yoongi can also be a great friend and fun to be around. despite not joining in on the noise, his friends still love him all the same. it's not that he's quiet, but rather, he'd prefer to listen and not use energy to speak (but throwing a few fun remarks here and there are definitely redeemable as worthy). however, he can be either quite brash or curt when it comes to admitting embarrassing feelings. other than that, yoongi is pretty chill and gets along with everyone. he's definitely the type of friend you cant vent to and rely on 24/7. many do not expect yoongi to be as loyal and attentive as he is due to his tired appearance, but he surprises them with his great qualities.

history when mei begn working at capteavating, her first impression of yoongi was that he seem disinterested and tired all the time. she felt weary around him due to such an aura and automatically clinged onto the warm seokjin instead. after a while though, yoongi and mei began to gradually talk as well due to the fact that they were coworkers with the same shift hours. mei's impression of yoongi slowly began to fade and she discovered that she actually liked his company. yoongi's never thought much of her, but now he enjoys listening to her rambles (it's a secret tho) and talking to her about food. they were both able to find some sort of comfort within each other due to being flawed as hell and one talking too much while the other doesn't talk much.
relationship YOONGI LIKES MEI (as friends, he insists) BECAUSE SHE DOES MOST OF THE TALKINGWHEN HE'S TOO LAZY TO MOVE HIS MOUTH. AND MEI LIKES YOONGI BECAUSE SHE'S COMFORTABLE AROUND HIM. YOONGI ALLOWS MEI TO TALK HIM ABOUT HERSELF, AND HE LISTENS ATTENTIVELY, OCASIONALLY VOICING HIS INPUT OR HIS OWN STORY THAT RELATES. ALTHOUGH MOST PEOPLE VIEW MEI AS ANNOYING, HE ENJYOS HER COMPANY. AND ALTHOUGH MOST PEOPLE VIEW YOONGI'S SLOTH-LIKE QUALITIES As UNREMARKABLE, SHE FEELS AS IF THAT'S THE REASON WHY SHE'S COMFORTABLE WITH HIM. PLUS HE MAKES HER CUTE LATTES WITH BUNNY LATTE ART (yoongi insists he makes them due to her desire and not his own) AND SHE INVITES HIM OVER FOR RAMEN AND SUSHI DINNER NIGHTS so their relationship is pretty 10/10. however, as far as mei knows, they're just friends (but she might feel something else). and as far as yoongi knows, he's too lazy to have his eyes on any girl. however, as their friendship grows, they slowly grow on each other as well. it's a mystery whether or not mei and yoongi will do anything about their underlying feelings or if they'll let other people affect such feelings.
