» PERSONALITY

Eunhye is a very confident person who believes that she can do anything and master everything if she learns. Nothing can ever bring her down, let alone stop her from achieving her dreams of becoming a singer. If someone ever told her that she won't be able to fulfill her goals, she'll try 10x harder and will always prove them wrong. During her trainee period, since Eunhye is fluent in Korean, Chinese and English, the agency decided that she could learn acting and modeling while the other members spend time learning these foreign languages. It gave her such a huge advantage, especially after she got casted in a sitcom drama pre-debut.

She is very bubbly, loud, blunt and is an extrovert. Once she meets someone, she'll be friends with them right away. That's why her members say that Eunhye has the most celebrity and non-celebrity contacts in her phone. Her bubbly personality makes people around her happy. She will suddenly tell a joke or jokingly imitate someone when she thinks that the atmosphere is somehow awkward. Although idols normally needs to keep a distance when trying to be friends with the opposite gender, netizens and fans are aware that Eunhye's personality is naturally like that and being really close to a guy is normal for her. They see Eunhye like the feminine version of f(x)'s Amber. She also has a very childish (choding) personality. She will keep teasing the members and pull pranks on them. However, some people seem to dislike her straightforward and blunt personality like Super Junior's Kyuhyun. When Eunhye appears on a talk show or just talking among her friends, her honesty may seem to be rude to some people. She has been criticised for this a couple of times. Other than that, netizens also left malicious comments when they found out that Eunhye loved going to clubs when she was in Singapore, and was also seen really drunk outside a Singapore's well-known club. Well, it was the past. But as usual, it didn't bring her down as there are more people who loves her than those who hates her. 

Celebrities from the variety show sector really wishes that Eunhye could appear on their show, especially Running Man. Yoo Jaesuk complimented Eunhye for naturally throwing aways her idol image and go all out during shows. She didn't mind covering her face with mud, not showing her bare face throughout the recording. He also teased Kim Jongkook and Eunhye for having a guest with the same name as Jongkook's X-Man crush, Yoon Eunhye.

» Background

Eunhye's parents lived in Singapore since they were high school students. While Eunhye remained in Singapore until she graduated university in 2014, her parents moved back to Korea in 2009, leaving Eunhye to live with her uncle and auntie. Eunhye comes from quite a well-off family. Her father owns a couple of restaurants, while her mother helped out. This is why Eunhye enjoys and is good at cooking.

Initially, her family were against her becoming an idol. Eunhye is a bright student at school, a full scholarship recipient, so her parents thought that it's would be such a waste of talent for her to change path and become a singer. However, Eunhye also thought that education was important, so she decided to work really hard, then she got admitted to an accelerated university program, where she could graduate with two bachelor degrees, Literature & Management, within 3 years instead of 5. She entered university when she just turned 17 and graduated with a HD average at the age of 20. She got numerous employment offers from bigger companies, but as expected, she rejected and flew back to Korea to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. At that time, since her cousins, BTS' V and Super Junior's Yesung were already a part of Big Hit and SM Entertainment respectively, Eunhye thought that it would be a good idea to walk out her comfort zone and join a different company. 

Joining either YG or Cube Entertainment were her goal. She prefers YG and Cube music styles instead of JYP and SM. As soon as she settled down in Korea, she auditioned for both companies as both a vocalist and a singer. Although she made it through the semi-finals, she did not make it in the end. She was so disappointed as she almost made it through.

She consulted with her cousins Yesung and V, and they both agreed that she should auditioned for SM instead. Although V belongs to Big Hit Entertainment, he frankly told Eunhye how SM is better at promoting their artists, so she would have a bigger chance of making it big with SM. The next month, she auditioned for SM Entertainment, and she got accepted to train as an idol.

» PERSONALITY

He's the type that is not afraid of showing affection to the girl he fancies. However, when they were both on stage, they would not even exchange eye contacts. They kept their relationship vey low key to avoid getting caught and being forced to break up. He is the person that prioritises his work before anything else, but Eunhye is still his priority. He is a long time senior of Eunhye, and has been taking care of her since she was not even a trainee. He got to know her through a mutual friend, and he met Eunhye, who just got rejected by both YG and Cube Entertainment. So he ended up listening to her rant and crying voice for hours. He gave her a lot of advice and also comforted her. They met really often since then, until she finally got accepted by SM Entertainment.

Idols knew how much he loves to nag, but that is how gentle and caring he actually is. Although a lot of other female idols seemed to have attempted to get close to him, he choses his friends very thoroughly, so if he didn't even like them as a friend, they basically have no hope of being his girlfriend. However, when it comes to Eunhye, he first never thought he would fall for her. He likes quiet, girly and shy girls, which is obviously not Eunhye. But the more time they spent time together, he began to feel that Eunhye makes him feel things he has never felt before, love, a sincere one. He has loved before, but this time, it felt so different. He started doing things he had never done before, such as writing love songs, suddenly wanting to buy food for her and to keep seeing her instead of spending his time in the studio. He is a songwriter, and most of the love songs he wrote were inspired by his relationship with Eunhye. He is also the reason why Eunhye started writing songs during her free time. Although Eunhye friendzoned him at first, he did not give up and Eunhye eventually fall for him too. He was her first love and one of the thing she can never give up on. 

On stage, they would act like they didn't know each other, so even netizens and fans did not know that they were close. However, outside work, when the managers were not around, they would secretly meet and spend time together like a normal couple. Since their schedules are usually quite empty once finished promoting, Eunhye would spend time in his studio and work on their music together.
