background : the twins were born on november 2, 1999 to different parents than they have now. the girls were put given to ahn minju a few minutes after birth and never really got to see their birth parents. minju was a great mother though, and their brother rumin was very caring as well. minju had been recently divorced when she adopted the girls, and had gotten custody of rumin without much of a fight as her ex husband didn't even want to see him. when the girls were around the age of six, they got into dancing and had begged their mother to put them into dancing so she did, letting rumin who was nine around that time, stay with them during the classes to watch over them.
during their elementary school years, the twins got very into kpop and were very inspired by the wonder girls to start rapping, dancing and singing. from then on, they had told their mom they wanted singing classes and of course she agreed, wanting her darling daughters to be happy. they were fairly well with singing and dancing, but it was the rapping that messed them both of and soon jiseul dropped the rapping and focused more on her dancing and singing where as yiseul saw it as a challenge and only worked harder to perfect it.
over the years the girls became better at their talents and it was in middle school when they'd heard that gummy ent. was having auditions to train. at first the girls didn't really want to bother with it, since they'd hoped to be in jyp or maybe even big-hit, but around 2011, at the age of 12, the girls had finally decided that perhaps they should attempt to audition. they told their mother and her mother had been against it for a while, not wanting her girls to be wrapped up in such a life, but when she saw her daughters determined faces she knew there was no way she could say no. after helping the girls with their auditions and sending them in, it took three weeks, almost five for the people at gummy ent. to get back to them, at the twins had thought they weren't accepted because it'd been such a long time for them, but they were happily mistaken because when they got the call, they'd been accepted.

TRAINEE life : trainee life wasn't easy for the twins, being that they were very close to themselves and no one else. they didn't really like socializing with the other girls and had trained the least, but they slowly broke out of their shells and became more of the social butterflys in the trainee group and soon became the more popular ones there, especially when making friends.
