michelle's parents met each other in california. her father was born there with strict parents who wanted the best of their only son. her mother was an only child too, but her life was a lot more cheerful. she was spoiled most of her life and was able to go to california when all she did was ask. her parents met up at the same college. at first, they hated, no, absolutely loathed each other. their personalities were way too different that everyone knew to not make any jokes between them. her father only wanted to get through school to make his parents proud, but it was hard when her spoiled mouth kept teasing him throughout the school year. after a year of nonstop teasing, he finally spoke up for himself. though, it didn't it end up pretty for him. all of her 'girlfriends' backed her up and the teasing continued. then, the failing grade came on her mother's account. in order for her to pass the class, she needed a tutor which the teacher already paired her up with him. on the days the teacher set up, she was to go to the library to meet him and stay there for at least two-three hours with him. on the third tutoring day, something very unexpected happened. out of frustration he was having with her, he suddenly kissed her which led to a rather passionate first kiss for both of them actually. with how awkward everything happened, they pretended nothing happened, but it was hard for them. surprisingly, all their friends had noticed the different atmosphere surrounding them. it was an ongoing thing for weeks until the weird emotion they were both feeling poked its head in and made itself known. it took another week for another kiss to happen between them, this time ending much more passionate and a lot more than just one kiss had happened. when they both finally had enough courage to talk about their relationship, the found out that they had both been attracted to each other and soon enough, they acted out on their love and got together; surprising all of their friends.
all their friends we still surprised when they ended up staying together even after college. even with their major personality differences, they loved each other (truly going with opposites attract?). so when they wedding finally happened, their friends were once again flabbergasted. during the wedding, they even showed a picture during the dinner of an ultra sound. she was pregnant with his child, once again, surprised. their friends knew that when their child is born, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
so when michelle was finally born, you could say she was rather spoiled. there were somethings she wasn't allowed to have because her father disapproved of spoiling his daughter too much, but her mother said otherwise. because of being slightly spoiled from such parents, she began to grow sort of weak, not wanting to go outside nor play with friends. when her parents figured out about it, her mother finally backed away from the spoiling (even if it broke her expensive heart). but the damage was already done.
michelle...wasn't your typical snob. she didn't use money for everything, but she did splurge a lot. most people saw her as a stpuid rich girl, but her close friends would always tell them wrong. she was far from being like those girls. well, she was a , she wasn't gonna lie about that.
school was school, michelle likes to put that behind her. she wasn't the smartest, but she wasn't stupid either. you could say her best friend and kpop saved her through those grueling years. she will be honest and say that she begged and begged for any kinds of kpop merchandise and concert tickets that she could get. then after graduation, she realized what she wanted to do in life. being an idol, that was her absolute dream. she could make it, she thought. remembering all those chorus practices and dancing lessons, she was always at the top of those. it was made for her! so she of course went right to her parents, just asking, asking, and asking to be one, to audition and live her dream! her dreams were slapped away when her father said no.
he was afraid. he didn't want his little girl to be in such an unstable career choice. though her father's decision, she continued to fight for her dream. her dream to be an idol. after a few years, she finally did it. her father finally saw how much michelle would fight for this career and finally gave in, as long as she would remember her family in the end.

TRAINEE life :
michelle was scouted by b2m agent during a singing contest held near her hometown. she was given a few months to decide to take a flight to korea for an exclusive audition. managing to get permission from her father, she found herself flying to korea and aced her audition.
she was different than most trainees, especially for how independent and confident she is. her aura just screams unique! now you are probably thinking, how did she get through her trainee days with that kind of attitude? you see, michelle may have some minor issues with her korean, but when it comes to bullying, michelle does not stand for that bull. lots of younger trainees looked up to her because she didn't give a crap about what people thought of her. she fought back which resulted in many trainees and even instructors becoming scared of her. but that was not all. she may have not of been the star trainee, but she was close enough. she trained day after day. she was hardworking and confident in her idol dreams.
around late 2011, b2m was planning on creating a girl group. instantly, michelle was though of for the project, but michelle's younger brother was sent to the hospital after a extremely high fever. she ended up having to turn the offer down because the doctors had said that ben had been asking for her and his condition wasn't getting better.
she took a hiatus and flew back to california to be there for her brother. her brother somehow contracted a bad case of scarlet fever that had eventually turned into rheumatic fever. eventually, her brother made it through with minimal complications. by the time michelle came back to korea and resumed her training, b2m had no plans for adding michelle to spica or making a new group (or let her become a soloist).
she continued to train under b2m after eric had joined the company, making her training a lot more interesting. soon it wasn't enough. she wanted the limelight, getting tired of not any action.
after a certain event of sorts, a daybreak media agent witnessed michelle's talents and offered her a transfer deal. daybreak media was thinking of a girl group and seeing as b2m had no such plans, it would be better for michelle. michelle had taken the deal and found herself as a daybreak media trainee afterwards.
it had been a while until the girl project was brought up and michelle was finally being chosen for a group. she chosen because of her hard work and confident aura (that and they were getting tired of her scaring everyone off).

SPICA : was in the original line-up for spica, turned it down to take care of her younger brother who was extremely sick at the time.
SCANDALS :
MICCA GAY? : a bunch of pictures of michelle and another female surface, in the pictures they are extremely close as they hold hands and embrace each other. the other female is actually bianca, her best friend. bianca is a very touchy person and that explains why they hold hands and hug alot. though in response to the scandal, michelle explains that there is nothing wrong with being gay and admits that she's biual, which causes more netizens to make an uproar.
PICS : just like ailee, an ex-boyfriend releases pictures that michelle had given to him when they were together. further investigating finds that the ex-boyfriend was jealous of michelle's fame and wanted to ruin her image. michelle responds to the scandal by saying that at that time, she really trusted the guy to keep those photos to himself. she also says stuff about there is nothing wrong with sending pictures to someone you fully trust and love. she doesn't make a statement saying the pictures should be taken down, michelle doesn't care about it. she's perfectly in love with her own body anyway.

michelle and eric knew each other before b2m, back when eric was still doing covers on youtube. seeing as michelle did covers on youtube also, they contacted before and would give advice to each other. they've only spoken through youtube and emails, never talking face to face.
so when eric came to korea, he was too busy with all the shows and training he was doing to actually meet face to face. it wasn't until he officially signed a contract with b2m that they finally met, but considering all the training he still had to do along with his debut, they haven't really talked to each other directly.
they finally met through bianca. bianca had money to come out to korea and hang out with michelle. with it being bianca's first time in korea, michelle wanted to show her best friend around the city. they went to a little cafe that was around the b2m building and coincidently ran into eric who was leaving the place. at the time, michelle was surprised to find out bianca had a huge crush on eric nam. the next few minutes were blurry as michelle really doesn't want to remember it (seeing that bianca goes little overboardsometimes).after some apologies and introductions, eric recognized michelle and they finally exchanged numbers, seeing as they were so busy beforehand. eric already knew how blunt michelle was, hearing rumors from the other trainees of b2m, but finally seeing it with his own eyes kind of made him fall head over heels for her. her whole tough demeanor drew him in. in turn, michelle always thought of eric to be attractive...like really attractive (not like she would ever admit that to anyone).
INTERACTIONS :
michelle treats eric like she treats anybody. sarcastic remarks, friendly violence (like smacking, etc.), and harmless teasing. eric is somewhat shy and reserved when it comes to anything michelle. she's so confident and could care less what people think about her. eric just doesn't know what to do around her. you thought he was dork normally, you should see him with michelle. bumble of words along with a face red as a tomato, who would of thought eric could be like that? michelle, being the tease that she is, always sends eric some of the most mysterious texts that could easily be misinterpreted along with voicemails. on tv (like interviews and such), michelle would always answer her ideal type being the opposite of eric nam, just to see what kind of reaction she can get out of him. she's always calling out on him too, harmless of course while michelle always calls out on eric, eric tends to always become a bundle of shy nerves (blushing like a child and such).michelle calls eric namdork while eric calls michelle chelle in which irritates her to no end (in truth, she really likes it, but she'll never admit that).
